The harsh reality is becoming and staying a hero is very hard. If you play on full servers it's near impossible to move 100m without getting shot at and/or killed. I've tried the hero route, it's very frustrating. You lose humanity for defending yourself and every bandit wants to kill you for the boost in negative humanity it gets them. It's the Feinstein effect.

You will still get this happening on private hives but at least the admins have a chance to take out the trash. Try our private hive Lingor server. You'll like it. Lot's of action, cool active admins and a full server nearly every night. Give us a try you'll like it. ok, in the editor get the buildings from the "vehicles" sections on the right hand top list. I'm guessing you've been using the "objects"? Get those add ons I linked. Put them in your dayz folder just as you would any other mod. i.e. Program files/Steam/steamapps/common/arma 2 operation arrowhead The add ons should be in the same place as your @dayz folder. I use dayz commander to load and play dayz so in dayz commander under the "game launch options" you'll want to add: -mod=dayztaviana;@Jon_EditorUpdate;@OA_Editor then press "Launch Dayz Now" button. Then edit as you normally do but again, most buildiings will be under the "vehicles" section of the editor Hope this helps.

Are you using the arma II in game editor? This is a good basic tut on adding stuff. Get the additional add ons for other buildings and they show up in the "vehicles" section not objects: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=5932 http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=11668 Firestations and markets are there you just have to find them in the lists.

Don't get all butt hurt because someone tried to help you out. If you knew it wouldn't work and was NOT allowed why did you do it? Oh yeah, for shits and giggles I forgot. But when I KNOW something doesn't work, I don't try it, because I already KNOW it will not work. Responses like yours is the reason fewer and fewer people try to offer other people help. You guys have taviana.com and .eu? I mean if the new Lingor 1.3 puts in most of the fixes in Skar Lingor then I guess It's a mute point but my impression was that skar picked up Lingor and updated it because the original dev was letting it die. Lingor is a great map but without these fixes it's pretty frustrating. If 1.3 does not fix these issues we may have to drop our hosted server and go to a dedicated box and run skar lingor ourselves.

Now the folks at Origins are claiming, at least 2 admins review each ban. There is no chance of a false positive... Wow. Just wow. Oh well my 12 year old son is looking for some stuff to do, he could go help them admin too. He has spare time.

EU is a direct ripoff of .com but tents are broken in .eu. Origins is basically .eu with more a little more stuff as others have mentioned. There is a small island with some AI on it. Good in theory bad in reality. It's lame and a couple guys can clear it out easily. It's screwed up badly too. don't log out on the island you get teleported to the middle of the sea... and no admins around to help Origins have no admins around. None. Ever. They are non existent if you need help. Non existent on their own servers... No admins on. Non existent on their forums. Many people needing help and zero response from them. Origins is trying to make money off the hard work of others. They take others' work change a little and spit something out. At least with .eu there was no money grab but now that martin has sold out with his map, it's all about the money. Taking the work of Rocket and others and trying to profit. .com is legit; tents work properly and servers are all private hives and most likely have admins around.

So we have a new private hive server up and running Chernarus. We tried Taviana.eu but tents are borked. Went to Chernarus but it is still (yes even on privates) overrun with hackers. What maps are working well with many of the bugs such as tent duping etc. fixed? We've played: Namalsk Fallujah Taviana eu and com Panthera Lingor Liked them all but it's been awhile since we've played any but Taviana. So which ones are working correctly and which map is more popular? PVP is welcome as well as survival - play your way. We're looking for people to play and we are open to suggestions on map/setup/loadouts/custom buildings Anyone that would like to help out with shaping this server into something great please PM me here or get on the server and TS.
