It would be great if you can 'stack' the damage information and send them in one package. Like you do with Playerinformation. This would also grant you the option to 'load balance' connection to the mainserver, if less actions have to be saved, they can be send immediatly. If more, they will send with 1 second delay or sth like that.

To be honest, my Server got desync/lag problems since the vehicles are on it. It's also reproducable. If, for example, i am driving a vehicle all is more or less ok. But if i drive the vehicle into one tree the server produces a LOT of pending messages in the ArmaOAServer.rpt file. Worst case was that the 'connection lost since xx seconds' counter begun to run, after 15 second and a bunch of player which lost the connection completly, we were able to play again. P.s.: I have enough Bandwidth (min. guaranteed 10MBit/s, max. 1000MBit/s) but still the Lag Spikes are unbelievable strong.

I would also like to have some 'reserved' slots, but as far as i know, ArmA2:OA (out of the Box) don't support this feature. There are only one way currently i am aware of realizing 'reserved' slots. Thats a 'login/join script' which checks how much free slots exist, and if < xx slots are free, it kicks automatically the one which tries to connect if he has no reserved slot. If you try to do this, it will be very disapointing for players because they never know if the server is empty/free for them to play on, or just have a bunch of free slots. Even if you would write into the Hostname that xx Slots are reserved, other player dont know if those 'reserved' slot player are already connected and the remaining are usable for common players. All in all, DayZ has a lot of Topics which are - more - important as to implement a reserved slot system right now. First of all it would be great to get the Lags reduced, then the memory eating leakage or/and need to restart the server every x hours. ect. P.s.: Its not that i am against a reserved slot system for all Server admin,so they have the benefit for hosting 'uber' machines (mostly) for free. But at the moment i am personally happy enough to be a part of this alpha and hopefully will be rewarded later by not paying to host the server later on as it is on BF3 ect. -

How to start the Beta Patched ArmA2OAServer.exe ?

Hi there, if i try to start the Beta Patched ArmA2OAServer.exe in the 'Expansion\beta' folder with the following modified 'start_DayZServer.bat' file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oaserver.exe" -mod=expansion\beta;expansion\beta\expansion;@CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_OA;@JayArma2Lib;@DayZ -name=cfgdayz -config=cfgdayz\server.cfg -cfg=cfgdayz\arma2.cfg -profiles=cfgdayz -world=Chernarus -cpuCount=2 -exThreads=7 the error message appear: JayArma2Lib: Incompatible version of ArmA2 or unable to check version. That's why i've tried to start the Beta Patched ArmA2OAServer.exe with an link, as described in the readme of the beta patch: Code: target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oaserver.exe" -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion working path: "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead" with this i am able to start the ded. executable w/o any error, but also without any 'reaction'. I see in the Task Manager that the arma2oaserver.exe starts from the beta folder, but after 1-2 sec it disappear without any messages from the task list and without any hint in the log files. Anyone a clue how to 'fix' this? -

My DayZ Server keep to stop working after a couple of hours because the main memory is fully reserved and the application can't reserve more memory. http://s14.directupload.net/images/120519/4wmwp4h9.png' alt='4wmwp4h9.png'> After that i figured out that the 'used' memory isn't the problem, its is the 'reserved' memory which is growing and growing until it reaches the maximum of my available memory of the server. And then the Error Message pops up. Second, I've added '-maxmem=800' to the 'start_DayServer.bat' but the Server still get over this mark with used and reserved main memory. Currently i have no clue what to do against this. At the moment i can only get 1.3 GB memory free for the Dedicated Server and i am afraid to 'upgrade' my system for more memory because i cant be sure it will solve this problem. -

Still server has 'Out of memory' problems after a couple of hours. I will try as soon as i can the latest 1.5.8.2 Edition of DayZ (and Server), maybe this will solve the Problem. If not, i would really like to ask all other Server Admins out there, how is your memory commit usage ? Is it endless growing and you have to restart the Server periodically ? or is it stable? -

Actually i don't get the 'JayArma2Lib' anymore, thanks a lot to your uploaded file. But, now the 'ArmA2OAServer.exe' only appear for a second or two in the task manager, and disappears without any trace of error or anything else. Do i start it correctly with my modified 'start_DayZServer.exe' or how can i see why isn't it loading? I only used the Beta Patch, replaced the JayArma2Lib with yours, and nothing else right now. Maybe i have to move some files to the beta folder to get it running? -

Hmm Premium? What exactly do you mean? if i wasn't clear enough, if the server is password locked, only myself will be connected or nobody. There aren't any reserved slots or anything else like this. -

.. i feel so dumb. It does nothing, because it has nothing to do. If no Player joins the server immediately the mission wont load. As soon as one player connect, all is running as it should -_-. I'm sorry, i never hosted ArmA2 Server before and wondered. -

To be honest, i've passworded my Server sometimes too. But there are good reasons from my point of view to do so, and before you are complaining about it, i will share the reasons. But before i do so, ask yourself the following question: - Do you want play on a stable, reliable, fast server which will run and run without problems? - Or do you prefer Server which shutdown/restart on behalf of the serveradmin? I prefer the first one. And to have a stable, reliable, fast and long running server i have to make stability/stress test, fix problems, performance tuning and so one. Sure, i can deactivate the Password Protection, sure i can let ppl play on the Server but this will cause only frustration and lose in reputation if server will crash or make weird stuff. And actually i have to restart my server every 3-4 Hours otherwise it just stop working. If you don't believe me just read the Thread: Server issue. It makes no sense at the moment to let the server run public anymore. If you still think this is wrong, then please, host your own server, put your free time just to solidify it, pay for it from your own pocket and then get complains from 'guests' about locked servers. Every server which runs crappy will not only reduce the reputation of the server itself, it will also decrease it from the Mod! -

@Jman, thanks, for the input. I've tried yesterday to start the ARMA2:OA Ded. Server after i've installed the BetaPatch but the memory leakage still appear. After that i checked the ARMA2OASERVER.RPT and the server still start as 1.60.87548. I figured out that the Beta Patch install all content into the "Extension\Beta" folder but until yet i am unable to get it running. Do i have to overwrite the existing Files in ARMA2:OA root folder with those of the beta folder? Or with which Command are you starting the Beta Patched Ded. Server? EDIT: If i replace (only) the original 1.60.87548 arma2oaserver.exe with the new one of the beta folder, and try to start DayZ, a Error Message will appear: JayArma2Lib: Incompatible version of ArmA2 or unable to check version. I will try to upgrade JayArma2Lib ... EDIT #2: Upgrading to JayArmA2Lib_V1.4.38 didn't helped, the same Error Message appear. -

Sad story, Sysinternals Process Monitor won't work on my Server due Provider restrictions. I am unable to debug or at least see what happens in the background. Anyone any kind of hint? -

@JMan, i've installed now the latest B.Patch (ARMA2_OA_Build_92767.zip) and the new DayZ Server (v0.7 hive) but where did you got the 92770 version? @LtTireBiter before you wrote it, i figured this out myself, but I'm using now "tbb4malloc_bi", is the v3 better? Hopefully this will show some kind of effect. Thanks for your help :) -

There is no other Solution? I am still curios about the fact that the memory cleaner can drop the used memory to 300 MB but the reserved memory wont drop. There must be some kind of memory leakage. Also it's a matter of time that people start to complain about the insufficient server stability if they have to be restarted over and over again. I am also not sure if this has even something to do with DayZ. Maybe its a general Problem with the Dedicated Server Executables of Arma 2:OA. Would be nice to know at least. @cm. How long is the Server running until it hits the 3 GB Limit? Mine will reach the 1.3GB Limit within ~2-3 Hours. -

I've received my Server ID today and wasn't be able to get it running until yet due the Error Message everyone else got. I can't guarantee that i've made any configuration mistake, but due the fact everyone else has this issue, even on already running server, i will post my IP here too. I really have no clue what else i could have done wrong. Server IP: 46.163.68.161 (m0ar.net) P.s.: - Yes i've installed the C++ Res. Package on my Win 2008 r2 server.
