Yes it was, and no i coulnd't do something against it. At my location there was a thunder and all Power went offline for hours. 01.07.2012 - Serverupdate - Using new Mission file v0.4 with fixed 'you won't lose items, while swimming' feature - DE 10 TS now Online. Hostname: m0ar.de/net (0=zero), no Passwd, please use the Channel 'DayZ - DE10' - BEC LobbyIdleKick reactivated with 180 sec timer. P.s.: About the 'you won't lose items, while swimming' feature. I've tested it, and didn't losed even once my items. So it should work now. But still this isn't a guarantee that it won't happen. After all its still Alpha. -

@pod, Nice to read you. Usually it's recommended to restart a server every 4-6 hours. Actually i reboot mine every 24 hours. So this can be some side effect. I plan already to do two restarts per day on fixed times (with ingame announcements), but i am still not sure about the time. My Harddrive was broken so i couldn't play the last week, but now i am again able to do so. Actually i am running towards the next sea to test if the 'You won't drop stuff while swimming' Feature works like it should. @all, First Server Auto Restart set to 2:15am UTC-6 Second will be announced. -

29.06.2012 - Serverupdate - Updated to ArmA2 Beta Patch 94364 (ChangeLog) - You NEED now the latest Beta Patched Client (min. 94364) to connect to DE10! - Emergency Restart was initiated, sorry guys, but this was only for your own security. @True, i will look for this issue. Read @all too... @All, i had to do an emergency restart. Not (only) because of the Mass kill, also because some Security Leak of Battleye was pulished one day ago and older Server Editions are endangered by it. Thats the Reason why you have to use now the latest ArmA2 Beta Patch to play on DE 10! Please note that more Hacker/Cheater can appear the next days on all DayZ Servers. -

@GodOfGrain, still nothing i am allowed to talk public about. @Andrej Dudev, I've got no official (publishable) statement about this yet. Where did you get your one? @Corvax, the current netconfig is still not perfect. The Lag spikes are already at a minimum, but i want to erase them completely. Therefore i will try to change the config the next days too and announce this here. So if you encounter any Problem just pm me or post here and i will rollback to v0.17 (which is the current one). -

27.06.2012 - Serverupdate - Updated to ArmA2 Beta Patch 94209 (ChangeLog) - You NEED now the latest Beta Patched Client (min. 94209) to connect to DE10! - New Netconfig v0.18 - Try to minimize/completely erase lags, please report any kind of problems! Netconfig was rolled back to v0.17, immense car lag problems were reported. -

@Andrej, that's bad, the part about the board. And no Board Admin can do sth against it? Did you tried to contact one? About swimming, my Hard drive will come tomorrow, after that my crappy Raid controller will take about 24h to rebuild the raid and after that i am online again. But if you read the Patch notes, you will see that the 'not lose item while swimming' feature is now also available at MP Missions. I have high hopes that now you won't lose anything anymore, but as i said before, i want confirm it myself - except you want to try it at own risk. *evilgrin* -

Server made an unexcepted shutdown. Failsafe System did'nt knew the error and decided to let if offline. Server was restartet manually and is now operable again. -

P.s.: Please note that the only Administrator on the Server are those who have (*Admin*) After their name! And currently, i 'should' be the only one who is able to login as Administrator. I'm already got someone on my Hand who will support me soon, but before that i have to replace my hard drive which will come tomorrow :) @GodOfGrain, still no official response about the view distance. -

Hmm, if you put stuff into the Vehicle it will be instantly send to the maindatabase of dayz. Can you tell me which type of vehicle it is? We can test this by shutdown and restart the server and see if anything will happen. But not in the maintime. And no the server didn't crashed in the last 24 hours. -

@Corvax, Thx for Info, i've booted the Sys 6 hour's ago but my post in the Forum disappeared. About the Updates, as soon as i get the information about an update, i install it. Until yet, nearly every update was better then the previous edition and as long as this keeps up, i will do updates immediatley. -

@ShinglesMcRuff, Hopefully it will be enough to say that i am actively searching for hackers ect.. I don't want to go in detail to prevent any kind of countermeasure. Btw. about vehicles, i only 'hord' one quad, and due the fact i am not able to play since a couple of days i am even not sure if its where it should be. About the other vehicles, i can only tell you, there are some :) @GodOfGrain, i still have no official statement to this topic, you have to wait until then. -

@Corvax, Then i can't do anything against those bad 'boot ups'. they are following always the same way and i can't see any error which would explain why the last time the busses were away, and the other time they came back. @tsv84, your tents were clearly raided, the only 'mysterious' part was that they got lost and reappeared after the restart. -

23.06.2012 - Slot Count Change and BEC Deactivated - Due the problem that BEC locks the server without any reason, i've deactivated BEC for now. - Also previous raise to 50 Slots caused to much lags so i reduced it again to 40. - You NEED now latest Beta Patched Client (min. 93965) to connect to DE10! -

Hi Corvax, i will set back the Slots to 40, therefore i will restart the server within the next ~3 Minutes. I will also check the Logs with my LagMeter to check the lags and try to figure out where they come from. Today is not a good one for me ^^ so much to do and so less time. -

@Corvax, thanks for the info. I deactivated BEC for now until i figure out how to stabilize it. Also i manual unlocked the Server, people are already joining again. @GodOfGrain, The View Distance is configured on the Mission File which i am strictly forbidden to modify! All Server should have the same View Distance of 1600, no more, no less. Due the fact i have the latest edition of the mission file it has the view distance the Devs of DayZ want to have. Sorry but i cant raise it :S EDIT: i can't find any traces of the distance attribute in the latest mission file anymore. I am asking in the DayZ Server Admin chat if i am allowed to raise it. -

I think you are mixing now two topics. Client and Serverfeatures. The 'you arnt losing item while swimming' feature is a server side feature. Because DE10 is already using the latest patch and latest mission file it 'should' be already deactivated. You must not have the latest patch on the Client side to get affected by the Serverfeature. But there are two things which preventing me to Announce this: 1.) Dev's can't actually guarantee it will really work. 2.) I can't test it myself because my Client RAID System is degraded and i prevent to play ArmA2 until my replacement hard drive will arrive (approximately Monday). Just think about how angry player would be if i tell them, go on, just swim, nothing will happen and then they lose their beloved weapon ect.. Sorry, but as you should know already, i want to be reliable. Therefore i want to test it myself before i let other people lose their stuff. I'm just a little bit sad that you've stolen my little surprise for the new DE10 Server Update post :) -

The Server is running Beta 93965, but i allow also connect 'older' beta clients to connect to the server. There are two reasons to do so: - Sometime a Beta Patch will be published but wont give the user any advantage to have it installed. - Also i want give the Player time to update to the next version instead of forcing them to do so. Until yet i have no intention to change this behavior, except you have some reason which i am not aware of. -

@Champy, Hello Champy, i've checked the logs, and the disappearance has nothing to do with the server restart. Please understand that i don't want to reveal any further information about ingame actions to protect the InGame Feeling. @Andrej Dudev, thanks, it's nice to hear something like this from time to time. But i am already used to don't get any positive feedback. There is even a common sentence in my Region which could be translated to this: No bitching is praise enough :) -

@Corvax, i've warned 5 minutes before the System will restart in 1 Minutes steps, so you must missed the messages. They appear as Red Text, didn't you read them? I guess other have seen them because they left the server afterwards. Busses are bugged anyways, you can't save them, not on mine or any other Server. Didn't you asked yourself why you see them often in crowded regions? Because nobody can drive them away and 'hold/save' them there. Sorry i didn't told you this before, but i thought this is already common knowledge :S Any other vehicle works so far. @tsv84, To make it short, i don't know. And if i would, i wouldn't tell it anyone. The reason is simple, it's more frightening to play on a server where you have no reliable information about your surrounding instead of knowing, or even only have clue, that there could be some dangerous guys which are searching for survivors (or sth like this). In 2nd case you will be prepared for sure, in the first case you will be surprised like hell, and thats the part which makes fun, at least for me :) 23.06.2012 - Update of Flood Control System - Auto kick of Lobby Idler reduced to 150 sec - Raised Slotcount of the Server to 50 - Updated BEC to v1.4.3 About the Locked server, it was, as i thought, BEC. I've updated from 1.4.2 to 1.4.3 and in the Changelogs is an additional Hint that there was some kind of code problem: *** V 1.43 *** ... - Fixed: Minor bug in flood control.. ... Hopefully this will not happen again, otherwise i have to think about another solution. -

@tsv84, sure, there is always a possibility that the server has made some kind of mistake and deleted the stuff of your tent, but, this won't affect more then one tent and usually affects only one item. I'm sorry to tell you that someone seem to found your location and raided all your stuff :S @Corvax, Sad to hear that other Admins do such stuff, and nice to hear you are happy with DE10 so far. To the point about the Spawn location. I am not edited any kind of resource file i've got from DayZ because it's forbidden. So they should be the 'standard' ones. Please not that i can't confirm yet where the spawn location are configured. It can be in the Mission file, it can also be in the Main Database. If they are gathered from the main database server from dayz, it can be that Dev's change them without notice.
