  2. Had to restart the Server because it lost his connection to the BE (BattlEye) Masterserver. Even if this server, as all others too, isn't resistant to cheaters/hackers ect. Its still a better feeling if your Id's getting checked and synched by BE so i've decided to restart the whole System. Now the Server is running again and the Connection is reestablished. In the whole 1 1/2 Months of DayZ - DE 10 this was the first time with this issue, so i hope it will be the only one. Sorry guys :) But now you have a fresh booted system - faster isn't possible.

  4. @Andre, yes it was, but now it running again in the background with deactivated flood control. And at the moment it's set to restart the server every 24 hours. But its new to me that the Loot stops spawning, i will test this at the next cycle. 08.07.2012 - Serverupdate - Updated to v0.5 Mission file - Changelog: - This version brings a new adjusted filmic effect that is now default to all mission files and removes the option not to select beta as all DayZ servers should only run beta.
  5. @Trowa, due the fact i can't really control where and how the vehicles are saved / spawned it doesnt matter when the server restart and how often. I can only run the server 24 hours before i have to restart. :S

  7. @pod, where did you found this weapon? can you make a screen of the name / inventory look? after that please get rid of it by throwing it into the see or if you know some places where you can be sure that nobody will find it. If both is no option for you, just tell me over PM where to find you and i will get rid of it for you. The Problem here is now that i can't be sure when the weapon was spawned and by whom. I am also not sure if it was spawned on DE 10 at all. Hopefully i can get some clue through you by the asked questions and the anti cheat logs.
  8. Server had a Problem, was restarted and is working again. I skipped the 24h restart and tried out how long it will run without one. Seems its better to stay at the regular restart plan.
  9. @Andrej Dudev , ... just type "m0ar.de" into your TS Client as Hostname and click connect ^^ ? Join the 'DayZ - DE 10' channel afterwards. The TS will be used from my Clan 'Pure' for a lot of other games so there arn't any dedicated rooms, most of them even closed for public users. http://m0ar.de is only a website which i've create to have some coding fun. The special part is the Background. Just go to the Page, look at the background, press F5 and then look again, repeat until you had fun. But you won't find anything DayZ/TS related on the page.
  10. @J.P.: The Server usually restart at the same time. And was restarted 5 minutes ago. Tell me if the Problem still appear. 04.07.2012 - Serverupdate - Updated to ArmA2 Beta Patch 94444 (ChangeLog) - You NEED now the latest Beta Patched Client (min. 94444) to connect to DE10!
  11. @Pod, just write anything in the directchat and it will appear with the exact timestamp relative to the servertime in the log. So i can precisely find the point when sth happened by searching for your ingame name in combination with a rough time given from you.
  12. @brickhead, i can see if he or anybody else have connected or disconnected. But there are a couple of problems if i begin to kick/temp ban/ban permanently people who are preventing to die. And all will begin with the basic problem 'who is the culprit': 1. I need the Name, and because it's deactivated on DE10 you won't be able to deliver me one. 2. If i have no Name i can only check the Logs. And log checking is horrible. Not only horrible for me, its horrible for everybody else too. Why? Keep reading: 2.1. Log problem #1: Your Systemtime is not the Servertime. 2.2. Log problem #2: Humans memory isn't working perfectly. You can be 100% sure it was at 20:00 o'clock (just an example) and in fact it was at 19:58 o'clock. 2.3. Log problem #3: I don't see the position of the Player which are connecting/disconnecting. 2.4. Log Prolbem #4: I don't see his last actions without reading thousands lines of Log If you just sum 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 together, you can imagine yourself whats the problem. The chance i falsely ban someone is really high. But thats not all, just for this example: if there would be really only one player which has disconnected within a timerange of +/- 10 Minutes, so i can be sure he was it, your statement still stands against his disconnect-action. At my side, presumption of innocence is a rule over all rules. But to keep this example up. If i would ban now the 'possible culprit' and the one is coming the next day telling me: a.) he wasn't it b.) he had a urgent appointment and had to leave c.) just disconnected because he was scared d.) he has killed you some days ago and now you want to 'pay back'. What then? How to decide what is right and what not? All above leads me to the point, i won't temp/perma ban people if they leave the Game. This will only cause discussion over discussions and i will never ever be able to tell 100% he was it for sure. please don't misunderstand me. I am not a 'friend' of this actions. But i am still relaxed. Dev's are reading this board, getting feadback from admins and i know that they are pretty aware of this problem too. Maybe it will took some time (it's still alpha after all) but sooner or later they won't be able to disconnect in action without risking to being delayed disconnected ingame.

If an Administrator/Host change anything on his Hard-/Software of the Server. How does he know if lags or other performance issues are getting better afterwards? Atm a Admin can only depend on the Feedback of Players.. and this is misleading, even if the Admin itself is the player who is generating this Feedback. With the LagMonitor you will get information about the situation which can be compared to previous configuration states. Roadmap: V1.0 will be only a passive LagMeter, for the beginning all data will be commulated based on day, hour or minute and linked together. Here a overall roadmap: v0.1.: Getting a rough overview of 'pending messages' per day/hour/minutes from the serverside logfile 'arma2oaserver.rpt'. - Actually this is the information which tells you, the server are holding back information - user are getting desynched. - IF you manage to decrease the number, usually the desync and lags will be gone too. v0.2.: Getting the count of players currently connected to the server, linked with the data of v0.1. - It doesnt mean much if you have no 'pending messages' as long as only one player is connected. - The server.log file will be used for this. v0.3.: Getting the count of connect/disconnect. - It will be also interessting to see if the desync will be greater if the server get hammered. Usually it does, but how much. v0.4.: Getting all spoofable 'Actions' of players. - For example: Picking up Items, Eat sth... ect. v0.5.: Connecting to the WMI System of Windows to get CPU/RAM/Network Card Indicatores too - Maybe desync appear if your CPU is on maximum and you wasn't aware of this. later releases may even able to scan for lags/desync actively, but atm i will focus on 'aftermath' monitoring.     how I can administer the Server?

    well, first it would be nice to know which hoster you've paid for the DayZ Server. Then you should try to ask the hoster itself what are the next steps after you've paid for your System. There should be any kind of contact e-mail adress. Maybe even a FAQ on their homepage or sth like this. P.s.: This is the official Board of DayZ, i am not sure if your Hoster is also here and will read your messages :)
  19. @Andrej Dudev, I've started the server manually. But there are two problems at the moment which are killing the Server. 1. Those DDoS Attacks 2. The not running Server Restarting Tool I will look about the 2nd one in about 7 hours. But i am unable to do sth against the DDoS Attacks.
  20. rofl :D i thought the queen looked otherwise... oh damn, so late again? i have to run to my work ^^ btw. 03.07.2012 - Deactivated Filmic Attribute - I've got informed that some player have issues with the Filmic Attribute of the Server, for debugging purposes and to test if it's getting better without, i have deactivated it for now. - Restartmonitor doesn't work properly, i will fix this as soon as i can nail the problem

P.s.: Please tell me over PM if i am allowed to publish your name :) EDIT: Seems its over, for now. Server is unlocked again. But this can be only a matter of time until they start a new attack. EDIT #2: nvm, next attack wave comes... lagging like hell again.
  22. loool ^^ Do you know why i spam DE10 in the Lobby? In good old time, free DayZ Slots were rare, and people connected on any server as fast as they could just to play the Game. But after they connected they asked also on which server they are. The Solution was to spam DE 10 at the Lobby ^^, at least it was a try worth. EDIT: no it's not offline, 39 Player connected.
  23. @Andrej Dudev, consider that the new Mission file is in use since ~24 hours. Now it 'should' work, but it's always a good idea to not swim :) P.s.: Is your Avatar Pogo ?
  24. @GodOfGrain: I've received an official statement. Raising View Distance is NOT allowed, therefore it will stay at 1600. Also it's not allowed to activate Global or Sidechannel!
