    The point is to try and survive for as long as possible however you like. If that doesn't appeal to you then why are you wasting your time?

    I'm not great with computers so I went with quite a simple build on a budget last summer: i5 2500k Geforce 560Ti "Phantom" 1024mb 8gb ram. msi p67a-gd65 motherboard. antec case. antec 620 watt power supply. Runs DayZ great on high.

    Putting the negative things the Yogscast authors said aside, I actually think a lot of players from Minecraft would suit Day Z perfectly. I would bet money that the games attract a similar kind of player.

    Honestly OP, just stick at it and your opinion will change. I'm sure many of us who started playing within the last few weeks felt like this at the beginning, you just have to plough through. Eventually you'll get lucky, find a weapon and some supplies, and head north into the wilderness. If you still don't find the idea of surviving for as long as possible fun, then maybe you shouldn't be playing a survival based game...
