    I'd be very interested in serious PVP, had a lot of experience with higher-tier clan gaming as a teen. Have left all that behind due to the commitments that came with adult life, but my attitude remains and would love to make some competent friends in this game, I've been playing games on my own for so many years now. I'm 24 and from London, UK. Let me know if you get a group going or something. My steam is z.layrex. Also, playing solo all the time in this game is just generally a pain in the arse.

    Same thing happened to me last night, thunder made me jump out of my skin. This game's incredible, I murdered someone for their rifle last night, my hands were shaking afterwards.

    Hey, my name's Mike, i'm a 24 year old critical care nurse in the uk. Been playing Day for about a month. In my teens I was very much into competitive clan gaming, my Battlefield team was ranked no.1 in uk for a good while. As such I am obviously very much used to doing what i'm told if i'm working in a team :). In adult life though I drifted away from it due to work and women getting in the way, but i'm very interested in having a group of trustworthy guys to play Day Z with. I play quite a lot when life isn't getting in the way. Will be in touch anyway.

    There is a game that feels more rewarding when you kill another player, Eve Online, because people can literally lose years of work. But you're right, the reason is because both you and the person you kill or are killed by can often have so much to lose, this game makes our fight or flight kick in, and the only games that can do that are those that give you so much to lose. It doesn't give me any pleasure killing people that aren't a threat to me however, I did enough of that shit in Eve.

    Yep, something which I severely lack in this game. I have very close gaming friends, but they're all from Xbox Live and not one has a PC built for games. It's a lonely hard life trying to survive alone.

    I found one in a bush in Berenzino, but I thought someone just hid it there, didn't realise it spawns. I don't know how to explain where it is. The woodland heading west from the small military camp, it was in a bush to the left of the woodland as you head west.

    I was running through Elektro today trying to get some stuff before getting to somewhere safer, and there were tents all over the place. There were some in the roads and others in various buildings, with dead survivors dotted all around. I started hearing noises, so I grabbed the Alice pack i'd found and ran out of the town. What could have happened? Why would people erect tents in the middle of the street and in the hospital etc? That's one of the things I love about this game, you have so many creepy moments.

    Exactly my experience. It's so weird, it has all the signs of a large gunfight/murder, dead bodies everywhere in the town centre, in strange desperate places, like behind the desk in the hospital lobby, as if they took a last stand there. And then these eerie tents, a couple just in the middle of the street, another in the hospital, another in an apartment with an alice pack there. Yet not a soul around. I grabbed what I could and ran to the forests pretty damn quick.

    I've not seen bandits use the tactic before, sounds like I was pretty lucky, I casually took my time checking out some of the tents too lol.
