Posing as the troupe for the Wizard of Oz cabaret show? -
I completely agree. This mod is one of the best I've ever played for any game. I decided to buy arma because I was looking for a good military shooter. While researching I read about dayz. That got me to purchase the combined ops pack and now my time is split between arma (mainly still learning keys at this point) and dayz. I am very excited to see the progression this mod takes. Money well spent either way.

I always prefer a hard copy but there were no stores in my area that had the game in stock. I downloaded it from gamersgate. There were no issues with installation for me. That service asks you if you want to keep the compressed game files on your pc after install. If you have the space, you can keep them in case something goes wrong and a reinstall is required. I was only getting about 1.17mb download speeds, though. Driving to a store may be more time efficient for you.

I have been able to pick the bolts up if they are still visible. This may take some finesse, but they can be picked up. I've mainly had issues with them disappearing altogether, roughly ~25% of the time.

Perhaps a system like the first Dungeon Siege. The more of one thing you do, the better at it you get. Maybe if you hunt a lot animals will spawn more frequently around your character. If you repair many vehicles, your chances of finding parts increases. That would be subtle and only affect your game play, not others. Horse

This mod is amazing. Here's the story of how I came to play it: I am a Battlefield fan and have been playing that as my exclusive fps game for a while. I was reading some forums and many people mentioned ArmA. I had seen the name since it first came out but honestly thought it was just a low budget fps. After seeing the praise given on the Battlefield forums I started reading more about it. I had no idea it was a milsim. The more I read the more I knew I had to get this game. I decided to buy ArmA II for the military aspect. It wasn't until after I made this decision that I read about Dayz. Pure bonus to me. I'm still getting the hang of all of the ArmA controls but am absolutely loving it. It reminds me of the original Ghost Recon but much more in depth. I now have trouble deciding to play ArmA or Dayz. As far as Dayz is concerned, I have no problem dealing with the bugs and glitches. None of those will stop me from playing. This is one of the most unique game experiences I've ever seen. I'll report any kind of blatant glitch but I really haven't see many personally. Wall glitches have happened but, to me, it just makes the whole experience more real. You're not safe anywhere. Stay alert. Patience is key. The goal is to survive. Don't complain about it taking forever to creep into a town. The longer you're creeping, the longer you're alive. That's the whole point of the mod. Stay alive as long as you can in anyway you can. Sorry for the long post but it's nice to finally find a game that has more than point and shoot. Horse
