The comunity is going to shit.... you honestly cant trust anyone anymore thats not on TS with you... I usually stay away from the coast and cities however I had been reading and hearing all the wtf its just a deathmatch now threads the last few days/week so today i decided I would try and see how tough it was and befriend a few and maybe get a group going which used to be pretty easy...... I got shot in the back 5 times today... each time I either had saved someone or had the drop on someone and let them go to talk then turned back on them as we started talking... biggest disapointment was had been talking/bsing with a guy for a while and meet up with him and save another from some Zs dropping some with them and soon as the Z threat was gone... Blam shot in the face. It is honestly pretty bad out here right now if you dont know them IRL they dont seem to care... Another laughable death on a respawn headed toward nearest barn on approach got asked if friendly.. I said yes... them Blam shot in the face... why even ask if friendly lol? I dont care too much about death... or getting killed but the fact is currently no one gives two shits about their fellow man its a every man for himself attitude if your not rolling with RL/TS/Squad etc... Im all about bandits and killing and other players are truly the real threat and what add suspence and ive done my share of killing however... shit has gotten just plain lame right now... you just dont shoot a mother fucker in the back that just saved your life or that you have been talking too for no fucking reason.... if someone gets the drop on you and lets you live and talks to you you dont turn around and blast them in the face after they bandage you. Ohwell guess the whole "honor among thieves" is gone.. Maybe im just getting to fucking old or soft for these kinda games used to think Hardcore/extreme was only way to play but there is just not a single drop of decency left I can handle getting sniped from a mile all day... getting blasted by some camper as I enter a building... but fighting off a horde of Zs with someone then bandaging them and sharing ammo/food to only get blasted in the face even after talking in VOIP has just made me think its pointless. Anyways enougth of my old man bitching... Yes everyones complaing boo hoo.. QQ... and a fucking Carebears, tasty tears and all.. However I challenege anyone else who thinks the comunity has not changed... attempt to befriend a stranger anymore... those days are gone. :)

Its gotten pretty ruthless.... no one even ask if friendly anymore... stopped in the woods to check map/supplies etc.. and plan next move and bam... 1 shot death no clue where he was or where he came from as I was skirting treeline and well hidden.. such is life in DayZ but never ends... Earlier was a new char decided since I spawned near good ole Balota id check it on my way inland... im there 2 minutes and no warning just start taking fire... retreat into building and soon enough had 3 survivors die trying to kill me... never even bothered to say Hi...

Im sorry but this is a Failure... Any "Safe Zone" will cause all traffic to move there. You can not Punish bandits and reward survivors... the game would be boring without one or the other. "If" there was a Central hub that was a Safe Zone in the map, then all would have to be allowed into it... The only rule I could see is if you "shot" in or near the hub then say a dozen or so "A.I. guards" would attack you... however the guards would have to be able to be killed so if a organized bandit team decided to take it over they could kill all of them and take controll. This way you could have a "semi" safe zone however it would not be entirely safe as someone could still kill you however being that they would most likely be gunned down by other players or guards would possibly dissuade that. Yet it could still be done, I see griefers or well organized teams shooting from long range into the camp or in it and fleeing and having a teammate looting the goods off the dead man. Im not against locations that promote some sence of gathering/socialisms, however they can not be complete "Safe" zones and they also can not be closed to any one group. If you focused on this without trying to reward/punish anyone then its possible. *shrug* I think I would just enjoy trien to shoot everyone who wanted to go inside but thats just me :)

No offence mate but if you were getting killed that much its safe to say you failed at "Surviving"? Its suppost to be difficult, dieing and learning from your death is part of it. Acording to your post you want: 1: More rewarding experience like BF3? (LOL) 2: Reward for dieing? You died, you get no reward i.e. your incentive to not die..... 3: More rewards..... 4: Bandits punished.... So you want to get patted on the back for dieing and people who are surviving the game punished for killing you?

If no Icon then its hacked... plain and simple.

I could see the Ghilli suit being a pretty quick way to get killed...

Supermarket is best bet % for a tent I believe... only place that ive had and luck at as well for finding one... Sadly everytime I find a players tent its empty :(

Ive quit going to them.. I have found many of them in the north often very close to each other, Ive seen as many as 3 within min or two of each other in the Stary regions.. I have never found any loot or any reason to go to them... Tonight I saw one that was shooting flames 10000feet in the air and lighting up everything in the area for miles... was a bit odd...

I fear walls as well now... had a similiar instance on Balato AF... agrod the whole field somehow.. .withdrew to the tower and started taking them down from the stairs... 20 Zeds later and starting to feel like a hero.. And then a Z warps through the wall and 1 hit knocks me out causing death. Today I died while walking out of a shed... no clue how or why... full health.. took 1 step out of a shed and my bones broke and I bleed out instantly died in 2 seconds... game makes you want to hate it.

Basically built the system last year can run anything flawless and all drivers/ etc up to date. *Timeline of events before/after error: New ReSpawn aprox 1hour prior, had cleared barn of Zs and loot and had just looted shed. not much else to say.

First this is a ZOMBIE Survivor SIM... Not history Channels greatest wars... To care about name accurasy in a game that has Zombies is just fucking silly. People make nicknames for guns... Obviously you have never been in the military? If you are affectionate about a weapon it will garner a nickname... Ever heard of the Barret 50cal machine gun? or M2? Its commonly called the "Ma-Duece" in affection by those who use and love it. This is no different grow the fuck up and quit worrying about fucking historical accuracy in a ZOMBIE GAME. Ever heard of the Bushmaster 25mm AutoCannon? well anyone who has used it most likely will say 25MikeMike..... Think people call their M4 anything else? No because its 2 fucking letters... Some actual historical nicknames of military weapons: Potatoe smasher (german grenade) Burp Gun (PPsh-41) Grease gun (M3) The Pig (M60) Carl Gustav (Charlie G) And thats just a couple firearms... dont even get into military Aircraft or vehicles christ.. I never say anything on my "self defence" killings :) However I do take it upon myself to answer the cries and tears of victims of other murders :) I enjoy a good bit of angry banter often really throws a wrench and confusion into the mix.

If I recall you cant die from the cold only decrease your max blood levels?, however yes the cough can agro Z and be heard. Not as contagious as I feared Ive been near it twice and not caught it... I definately do not let my blood stay below 10k anymore.

I have only seen a Winny spawn WITH ammo once since change.. was my starting go to weapon and still would be if ammo was more plentiful as it is Ive actually swapped over to the CZ as my starting weapon since its not really any louder then your other options and has the power and scope and I have been finding retarded amounts of CZ ammo of late....

I usually give most ideas/thoughts/suggestions a lil consideration but this is really stupid... really? Do you want to play a MMORPG? You think that would solve your problems of dieing? no... A gun is a gun is a gun... a hit in the head is a hit in the head just because you ran off and hid in the woods and lived for 10days should not give you any sort of advantage or health over someone who just logged in...

Yea not sure seems like spawns yesterday were fluctuating? At one point spawn was pretty slow inside of a town... went to a factory and by time cleared it (15minutes) and surround farm etc.. they started respawning as close as 20m from us and respawning fast.. left area as didn't have the ammo for another 50+ Z standoff..

So I tend to believe in shoot first ask questions later... I dont care what skin someone is wearing thats a bs way to identify anyone. I had 3 murders today... I usually have a bandito skin no surprise but I feel even though they may have been cold blooded killings but to me they are justified for living in a world such as DayZ.. You have to respect another Survivors space and failing to do that in this Mod is a threat: Murder1: took out a couple Zs around a deerstand with a cz550 was remote local so wasent overly concerned with noise previously to this had just cleaned out a nearby barn... making alotta noise... I go into the stand spend a minute or two there climb down turn around and 30m from me is Survivor creeping up aiming at me, no hesitation, bam hes dead, never sneak up one someone gun drawn and not annouce it.. murder 1. Murder2: going for a water fountain I see a New Survivor shoot a couple Zs, I keep distance lower gun, he edges closer gun drawn I stand ground, try to raise him in chat twice, at 30m I raise my rifle and warn him again he starts sidestepping closer still drawn on me, Im feeling peaceful so I start edging away with rifle out showing that im not interested in shooting him, yet he keeps coming closer.... I take him out, Murder2.. *now i have bandit skin Murder3: in a town looting some buildings moving to next building(garage) attract a horde of Zs unload most my ammo dropping a solid 20-30 Zs in garage, making alotta noise, Im paranoid so I go upstairs and start checking out the windows at possible avenues of approach so I creep to a window and see a Survivor creeping/circling garage, attempt to raise him no answer.. he heard me shoot knows im inside and is faily to make or answer contact hes searching for me with guns drawn... he starts edging towards entrance so I take the shot out the window and drop him.. Murder3.. So.. am I a murderious Ahole? or Justified in this brutal world? I know they were all pretty cold blooded but if you dont know them cant trust them that close. If I want to make contact I try chat, if that fails I lower gun and approach and /salute at a safe distance.

I like what your saying man, and great suggestions but those would inpose that death is not final... which is the pain part of this game is that you die... everything is gone. I think a FPS/MMO is what your suggestions are geared towards and would love to see that perhaps in a different mod/game though.

Aye this is quite a headache.... It took me almost 5minutes to get a fire going while in the wilderness... very painful... Funny thing is ive found that half the time when I get one going its not even on a level ground its on flat sloped ground or some other bs..
