Changes i would like to see

I like the thought process but not all "military" weapons are "military". The only things that I don't have are the full auto ones, and I could actually have them if I had the money (depending on state). Who is to say that I would not go hunting with a DMR? It is a great .308 rifle, no reason not to hunt with it. As for the scarecety of ammo thing. I am all for melee combat, but at the end of the day this is a FPS game and not having a bunch of guns would be kind of silly. If there were more melee weapons and it was a little easier to use them then I think you would have more people take part in melee combat. (At least add the knife and e-tool).

Unlock new skins by staying alive longer

I agree that new clothing for longer survival makes you a target for sure, because "if that guy has been alive this long he must have good stuff"; but then again people might not want to mess with you because "man he is a tough SOB to have survived this long". Double edged sword I guess. I like the beard idea though. Being able to grow a big crazy beard would be awesome. And if you can see my big beard then you are either trusted or too close to me, so killing because I have a beard won't really happen.
  3. I love this idea and other real time events. They would add so much to the game. A random helo crash you witness, a giant horde of walkers coming through ect. Love this. DDDOOOO it.

Rushing a sniper in Cherno !!!

Artillery that shit...oh wait. You would have to clear out each building, assuming he is in the city and not outside. Also keep in mind a good sniper is probably moving his spot at regular intervals. This is probably too late, but for future, survivor help.

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Anyone of you more experienced docs come up with a trauma chart for the game yet? Just like in real life some things need to be treated first. Lets say you come up to a victim that is unconscious, infected, has broken legs, has a cold and is bleeding. You will have to apply all of your medical treatments, but in what order? Antibiotics Bandage Blood Bags Epi-Pen Morphine Auto Injector Painkillers Heat Pack I think obviously the HP, painkillers and morphine can wait. Step 1 is to keep them alive. I would say epi-pen first to restore consciousness and communication with the patient. Then bandage so he does not bleed out on you (assuming no threat is nearby). Then blood infusion. Now that he is alive and on his way back I would cure his infection so it does not spread to others. Morphine, PK and HP (or fire) would all come afterward. Any others have input on that? I always debate whether the blood bag or bandage should come first.
  6. This would not change anything IMO. There would still be people that join you just so they can shoot you in the back, just like in the game now. Just because your name is a different color now means nothing to a true bandit. You will just have to ask around and try to find a trustworthy person to play with. That is part of the fun honestly. Never knowing if a guy is friendly or not. Not knowing if you are about to make a great team or have to murder a guy. Safety forced by some game mechanic takes away from the joys of finding helpful people.

    Corpse drag?

There have been a lot of games with the option to drag a corpse. Like the Hitman series for an example. Anyway I think this would be a great option. Sometimes you shoot a guy in a doorway, or out in the street and you don't want to be searching his body right there. So you can drag him to another room, or to some cover and search him. This would also be useful if you could drag an unconscious person as well, so you can administer first aid in a safer location.

    Hunting Cameras

I actually kind of like that idea, I just don't think it fits this game. I think a game with technology (like STALKER) that could work well. When some one walks by your in game "iphone" pops up on screen with a view from the camera. I don't think this game has that level of technology in game though. Cool idea though.

    A Couple Suggestions

I like it all except the blinking food and water thing. I got two kids and do work from home, I should not be forced to either keep running around looking for food/water or die because I have to take care of business or the kids. Honestly it does not effect me if some guy in the middle of no where has a friend bring him food/water. Obviously when you are aggro'd by a zed or got shot ect. Actually in other games I have seen that you enter an "aggro mode" when ever an AI or a PC attacks you, and while in aggro mode you can't log out.

    Safe zone

I don't think safe zones are a good idea. At the end of the day the bandits would just camp out near these safe zones and kill people going in or out anyway. At least with a player enforced safe zone you can move it if you need too.

    Bounty Hunters/Bounty System?

I know things are being worked on in game for the bandit/reputation system and it got me thinking about bounty hunters. Years ago I played the online star wars game and was a bounty hunter. Basically when a Jedi player was careless and was seen too much he would enter the bounty system. BHs could go to a terminal and accept a mission and get the players name and a way point to the player. Then I would hunt them down and kill them. Very fun. So. My idea to use that in DayZ. When a player kills too many other players (especially if other players witness it) they become bandits and have a bounty put on their head. Players can then find a wanted sign with the name of the bandit and they have to try to hunt them down and kill them. Perhaps if you have a GPS it can some how track said bandit so you can hunt them down. Killing enough bandits gives you BH status, which is nothing really, but might get you some friends/respect and maybe a small award for killing the gym. Survivors have their survival to be judged on. Bandits have their kills. Bounty Hunters would have their Bandit kills.

    Logical suggestion - Remove NVG?

Is your goal to get rid of NVGs or to make playing at night more rewarding/fun? Because you say you just want more reason to play at night but you only talk about taking away NVGs. How about you/we come up with other ways to make people want to play at night. -Make certain city areas have random lighting that comes on during the night (some generators must be working right). -Make loot drops in these areas better than during the day. -Make zombies more active during the night, so that NVG sniper has other things to consider. -Increase the blinding effect of NVGs. In real life NVGs can power down when hit with a burst of light (like when firing a 50 cal machine gun the goggles will drown out some light so you don't go blind). Maybe in the game though if you have NVGs on and a bright light comes on near you, or a road flair is thrown in front of you the player can actually go blind for a little bit. I am sure there are other ideas as well. So instead of trying to take something cool out of the game, lets think of what can be added to the game to make it more fun.

    Use For Whiskey!

I really like the idea. Maybe not the bandits being addicted to it part. I think rags should be added to the game and you can use them for the molotov cocktail. Also rags could be used for splints (the bandage of the broken bone world) and also as a very minor bandage with a greater chance of infection.
