    New mmorpg inspired by day z

    Just curious how your MMO would be different than this, which is basically an MMO and not a FPS. (not talking the bugs and glitchyness of course, considering this is still in ALPHA).

    Nah they would just get killed anyway. The paranoia is actually kind of funny in this game. People get freaking nuts lol. I would like some medic skins at some point though. That would be useful for anyone wanted to RP as a medic type.

    I actually think very few would. They would rather shoot the player first then the dog. If they snipe your dog you will escape.

    The Pvp Problem.

    PVP is not a problem with this game, it is a part of the game. With that said I actually think some type of ham radio type set up would be cool and allow people to warn others of bandit activity.

    Tires are Heavy

    Ever try to lift a rotor head? Or stuff a tire in your backpack? IMO you should only be able to carry 1 tire at a time and you should have to have your rifle slung and pistol holstered to do so.

    Interesting tactics

    People are curious beings. Set up a fire and people will wonder up to it. It is great if you get a kill and set up a fire nearby. People will wonder over attracted by the fire, then see the body and think they got some easy pickings. As they get in close bam, take em down. Try to bury a body though so you don't get a pile up. Too many bodies scares people off.

    I don't mind and support anything that makes bandits and helpful survivors different; BUT not something that hurts a bandit and/or helps a survivor. Maybe the more infusions you give the better you get at infusions, same with bandaging others. That is good for everyone.

    Addition of Horror Elements

    You walk into a cabin in the middle of no where. No zombie threat in site. You open the door to the cabin and sneak in. Pick up some rounds laying on the living room floor. You hear a noise from the kitchen. Go in and the sink is running. The former owner is in a chair with his wrists cut, dead. You turn to go into the bedroom and the dead guy rises from his chair and attacks you. You turn and put two bullets in his head as his wife and two teenage kids wonder in from the bedrooms and also attack you. Shit like that would be awesome. There are some great ideas in this thread.

    RETHINKING ACTIONS - ASSISTANCE

    I think putting on a rotor head or sticking a motor in a car should take a while. Maybe 5 minutes each. So obviously having assistants for those would be a HUGE help.

    I think a guy with a duffel bag and not rifle is dead meat lol. I like the idea though. I think duffel bags, chest rigs, smaller assault packs attached to main pack should all be included. You would move slower and it would take more energy (food/water), but you could carry a lot more. Basically I love the idea of having different load out options. Do I want to load myself down with a main pack, assault pack, chest rig and duffel bag; or to I want to be faster and carry a better weapon? Or some combo of them all. That is ideal imo. The more options for load outs the better.

    Haha that is awesome. I mean terrible, but awesome still. Imagine if some one kills you and your dog and then eats your dog lol. I read a story about a guy that was lost in the woods and was able to survive by drinking some of his dogs blood. :( @systemik - awesome to hear that. I hope it turns out good. Although I honestly would be happy with any level of dogs, from only wild packs that attack people to the full blown pet with different breeds that you must raise from a puppy and train; and anything in between. As long as they are not super animals.

    I don't think bandits should have this or anything happen to them at all. I do think if you take too many pain killers or morphine shots in a certain time frame you should have an addiction. The addiction is only cured by not taking more for x amount of time.

    @zipper - Good post and I agree. I don't think all dogs should dislike people with low humanity, but I think for instance my dog should be able to sense it and alert me to it. The problem though with the entire humanity aspect people always bring up is how would the game no if I killed a guy in self defense or not? So humanity in itself is bugged. I have no problem with bandits having a dog though, not like only nice people in the real world have dogs lol. @alexander - I like the idea of being able to give commands via direct chat. Imagine you are sitting there and here "get em" and then see a dog jumping at you through some bushes lol. I am by no means looking for a super pet or super weapon. Dogs would do little damage and maybe cause some bleeding or an infection of some kind. Mainly he would help scout out areas and just add a little fun. He would not take anymore shots than a player or zed to kill, so 1-2 at the most. Nothing crazy.

    Let Players "Synchronize" GPS

    I actually really like the idea. The thought that it doesn't exist in real life is pretty laughable as well lol. Anyway I would want your friends GPS to be linked until it is deleted, not auto delete on your death. That is the risk you run. I kill you and take your GPS, then I can hunt down your friends as well, but I leave myself at risk of them hunting me also.

    You want a faction? Start/join a clan and be which ever faction you want to be. I am not against factions in games, just don't think it fits this game.

    Zombies are rediculously overpowered

    True zombies would bite/scratch you once and you would turn into a zombie. Consider yourself lucky :D
  20. Basically you had two encounters with snipers. 1 was very good and 1 was not as good. You can't take sniper rifles out of the game because you didn't have fun when a very good sniper got you. As you said the second time you have a lot of fun.

    No matter what SHTF situation I have witnessed (from Katrina to Iraq/Afghanistan) there are always loose dogs running around. Dogs are pack animals and even pets will resort to this behavior. I think a pack (from 3-8) dogs roaming around would be a cool threat. They would roam the forests and even enter cities looking for food. Maybe you can distract them by throwing a steak or can of food. Also I think being able to some how earn the trust of a dog would be cool and have a pet. The pet dog would give a low growl when he senses someone close and barks when the person is too close. He will even defend your tent/vehicle for you. And of course you could make him attack for you. The second part might be harder to do, but I think the first part at least would be cool.

    Top 3 Suggestions

    Man so many good ones -More melee weapons (although I think Rocket said they are adding more so I don't want this to count lol) KATANA! -Helicopter crashes that you witness and other random events, massive hoards ect. -Being able to drag a corpse. -A fix to exploits (when switching servers you respawn on beach, no DC'ing while engaged in combat with zed or PCs).
