It really didn't make sense because these zombies are not dead, they are infected, so I don't know how they survived anyway. I like the crash sites, but the weapons you get from there should be really damaged. Medical/humanitarian air drops would be awesome. If they expanded the medical system like I want and included "surgical tools" that only spawned at those sites it would be cool. Random bunkers would be fun, but would zero sense at all lol. How about random "ghost ships" that come floating by. Not too far from shore, but you have to swim out and board it. Instead of helo crashes how about cargo plane crashes. Way more zombies. Also maybe a broken down/crashed TRAIN. -
This is a fantastic idea. I really love it. Full size shotgun has more range but takes up the rifle slot, sawn off takes up four slots but has less range. Sawn off of course should have excellent power up close.

I like the helos. They should be rare and very difficult to get going. I'm talking like 20-30 parts and a few manuals. I agree though this game is excellent so far and only going to get better.

If you are healthy (not sick, full food, full water) then you regain blood really fast. I have no need for blood bags unless I can't see ect. I was not wearing any helmet today when I got assaulted by three dudes (read above), I took an ass beating and didn't get knocked out. I was surprised cause I have been KOd in 4-5 hits before.

Elektro is where I have played since the start, I travel up to Berenzino or over to Cherno some times as well. So I am geared and heading up the coast this morning (although I am not using rifles this life). Ran into about 12 bambis. Stopped and talked to each one. Only one said anything. The others did the penguin ('Q' and 'E'). At the factory up north I stopped to help a guy with a crow bar. As I was cleaning his wounds his buddy comes up and starts punching me. I step back and tell him to stop I am helping his friend. He keeps attacking so I have to shoot him. Then the other two guys start attacking me. I figured the hell with this and run off, they chase me. So I had to kill the second unarmed guy. The last guy with the crow bar continues to chase me. I had to shoot him also. The east coast is crazy right now, never know what will happen. It is fun for sure.

I am wondering what other alpha's he is comparing it to lol. This is typical shopper behavior though and retailers know it. If it says "SALE" then it must be a good deal. This does not have a flashy "SALE" sign so it must not be a good deal.

I know crafting is not in the game yet but remember in the mod you didn't have tools you had a tool kit. I think the tool box should be in game. Just like a med kit but only holds tools. Then I am thinking they should have belts in this game. Here are three I would like, add your own. Police - Holds 1 pistol, 2 magazines/speedloaders, 2 handcuffs, 1 handcuff key Military - Holds 4 rifle magazines, 2 canteens Workers - Holds all the tools, 1 rope, 1 duct tape The belts must be worn, they can't be kept in your inventory.

After reading the upcoming stuff plan from Rocket hunting, cooking and respawning zombies/loot are some of the things at the top of the list and slated for "early 2014". So hope that means some what soon. -
Just a thought I had as I traveled around today. I think it would be awesome if when a player dies, after X amount of time, his corpse becomes a zombie. So not only would there be the regular zombies walking around you would have a zombie will all of this players gear too. Gone are the days of dieing and running back to your corpse, now you have to go kill your own zombie to get your stuff back.

I like that idea but would need something so its not abused. Maybe you get to log into a server and 1 time a day spawn by your friend. -

How many melee weapons do you normally carry? I have been doing a bit of a test. I started in Cherno and am just walking all over (headed west, then north up to the airfield, to Stary, back down to cherno and am over in elektro now, about to head north up the coast. Here are my rules. 1- No rifles at all. Only pistols (I have one of each) 2- No fire axe. Doesn't look as cool as the wood axe. 3- When I get to a town I don't loot house, only business'. I WALK through the town. 4- When I see a player I try to make contact. 5- If they are hostile my first option is escape, second is kill them. 6- Play on a server with 25+ is possible. I am taking notes and marking my trail on a map (like the thread in the Gallery). So far I have been attacked a few times (mostly on the coast) and been shot once (really close to dieing that time). I only had to kill one guy. He gave me the finger when I waved then ran at me with an axe so I hot him. He got mad, yelled at me and kept coming so I killed him. -

No. We don't need a game mechanic to try to get rid of KOS. I don't know why people (not necessarily the OP but a TON in the mod) think that if you kill people you will have some psychological breakdown. -

Ahh ok, I must have misunderstood. I agree I think the other calibers need a boost if that's true. I really don't think the muzzle velocity has much effect in this game, not like I am gonna dodge bullets, unless it is in the script to figure out damage via MV (which would make sense). Just curious how you know what the MV is anyway? Or the damage, is that found some place? I have not tested the speed loader theory yet cause I can't find them. I will ask for volunteers when I find one though lol. For what its worth I don't think they are done with all these things. Obviously they will be adding a ton more guns and zombies, and animals and so I think they will balance everything out.

How is getting shot in the chest and dieing from a .357 unrealistic?

If anything I would say the others are underpowered but really it depends on what equation you use to define damage and power. Especially the .45 they should be much closer than that. Sorry for letting my nerd come out folks. The "power" of a round is often broken down to P = Mass * Speed. (Mass basically broken down from "force" which is traditionally used to get power). So using my numbers earlier .357 (200gr * 1200 fps = 240,000p) 5.56 (63gr * 2900 = 182700p). Now this is not taking into account distance and just using muzzle velocity. Obviously the .357 will slow down much faster than the 5.56, but inside 20 yards I doubt it will slow down enough to impact this scenario. For instance at 100 yards the .357 has a speed of about 800, where as the 5.56 is still up at 2500 (or 157,000 vs 140,000). Why do you say that? If I were to own a .50 cal hand gun it would be a revolver because the magazines are the worst thing about them.

This is not true at all. First off there are .17 caliber rifle rounds. Second the 5.56 (the modern versions in particular) is designed for accuracy and penetration. The .357 magnum (in particular the hollow point) is an excellent stopper. Now comes some science type stuff (keeping it light). As you can see the rifle round is moving much faster, but the pistol round weighs a WHOLE lot more and is wider. At close range that Magnum round is going to tear things up. .357 Magnum 200 gr (weight), 1200 fps (speed), .357" diameter 5.56 63 gr (weight), 2900 fps (speed), .223" diameter (PS- After I got out of the service I worked in a ballistics test lab and now work for a very well known firearms manufacturer. :thumbsup: One shot to the chest at 15 yards is a kill, they got it right.)

I have not one single problem with PvP at all, it is part of what makes this game great. I would like to ask you a question though and anyone else that feels the same way as you can answer too. If all you want to do is get your "ass to the best location to find gear and then blow your fucking head off." Then whey are you playing this game? Seriously. There are 100s of FPS where the object of the game is to run around and "blow peoples heads off".
