  1. fantastic idea, i think this would especially help situations in which multiple friends/allies are engaging hostiles. I often find myself having to constantly check in with teammates to verify their position so i don't accidentally shoot them, instead of a hostile. However, realistically, we would be able to tell the difference between a friend we've seen for long periods of time and an unknown survivor, so a tagging system would definitely help differentiate between characters since they all have similar models

    Situational Spawning (Idea!)

apologies, i should've checked... i did search "situational spawning" and "choose a spawn" and didnt find anything tho, but my bad
  4. I think it would be awesome if the spawn mechanics and locations were changed up a little. This applies more to the Arma 3/standalone DayZ game than the current mod. It would be awesome and add a lot of depth to the game if you could choose where you wanted to spawn, or were spawned randomly, into different locations such as cities, rural towns, highways, etc. Perhaps you could pick a "back story" you want your character to have, that determines where and what you spawn with. Ex.: Truck driver: you were fleeing the cities when the virus struck, and were speeding down the highway. You hear a gunshot in your immediate vicinity, and, momentarily distracted, looked for the source of the sound. The next you thing you remember is waking up in your totaled truck, with abandoned vehicles all around you. Ex: Banker: You barricaded yourself in your apartment in a large city when the infection started. 2 weeks in, you're running out of food, and need to leave to scavenge. The point of this is to provide more depth to the game, and more re-playability when you die. Your decision will affect your fate. For instance, spawning in a city will give you more options for scavenging, food, weapons, etc, but you'll have to deal with more players and zeds. Spawning in a farming community gives you access to hunting gear, but less players and zeds, etc etc. The whole apocalypse simulation part loses a little bit of credibility when you just spawn on the coast. I think it would add to the realism if you had to deal with your situation accordingly, without many options on what to do (since you can go anywhere from the coast...leaving a crowded city would be harder). Just some food for thought.
