What should our next competition be?

I got a great idea!!!! How about we play... What Dev can fix all the HACKING issues first??!!! Hope you all solve this crap before ARMA III! Semper Fi
  2. Dear New Players, I'm a Veteran player who does not post on the forums too much. Please take note of what you are about to read... Don't trust anyone in this game unless you know them personally (or are in a clan on Teamspeak). Shoot first and ask questions later It's fight or flight, don't get too nervous!!! Stay in condition yellow (meaning stay alert at all times!) If something doesnt feel right, you probly shouldnt be doing it. If you feel like someone is watching you, they probly are... There is so many lessons I could teach all of you. I'm no MASTER at this mod, but my real life job put's me in the position to give substantially real and good advice as to how to survive in this mod. Trust no one, keep your friends close and your enemies closer, Wall Body Weapon (just because the building sounds empty, doesn't mean it is). If you want more advice on how to survive post below. I'm done playing this mod untill the dev's fix the hacking issues... And by those I mean one's such as me and my friend running through a forest and suddenly we get teleported to the NW airfield Industrial buildings and are shot down by the hackers. I had over 1100 zombie kills, NVG's, GPS, M4 CCO, and a TON more, only to get hacked by a couple of people that have their moral compasses extremely pointing in the wrong direction (that's putting it lightly). I hope you pick your server wisely... Even us vet's are vulnerable to peoples BS hacks... Semper Fi SGT Roberts USMC

    DayZ Ultimate loot find !

LOL dang!!!! This reminds me of the time me and my buddies found 10 tents hidden in the mountains, we looted everything from ghillie suits to NVG's, AS50's, M4A1 CCO SD's, you name it. Awesome man lol!!
  5. I've been hearing a lot of rumors going around that camo and ghillie suits have been taken out of the mod. Can a dev please confirm this for sure? If anyone has a link to a post I have not seen yet about this topic please feel free to link me. Thanks!

    What is it with people...?

Welcome to the game first off. Yeah man you need to watch out for everything and everyone in this game. I treat my character like I would my own life and it's kept me alive for a very long time. Being a former U.S. Marine really helps with the game as a whole. If you see another player your better off sending rounds down range at him. Shoot first and ask questions later. I was nice one night and went to help out a guy who needed a blood transfusion on the firestation in Elektro. He made a boo boo though. He announced his position over the global chat (Biggest mistake you can ever make besides running on a road). Anyway I got up to him and someone came up the firestation tower and popped him one in the head. He asked my why I shot him and I told him it wasn't me and that it was the guy behind him who I had just popped in the face. This game is unpredictable. It's almost as real as it gets when dealing with other players. You gotta use your head when you come into contact with another player. If you get too nervous you might as well just kill yourself cause your already dead. Your brain will do one of two things, fight, or flight. I would suggest the fighting one ;) Also if something just doesnt seem right with a situation watch for hackers, they do exist and it's pretty pitafull that people don't know how to actually "play" the game. Thats the best advice I got for a boot. :) Hope all this helps a bit. -Sgt Roberts
  8. Everything you have heard on where to find them is true except the barracks at NW Airfield. Only military loot spawns there. The ghillie suits spawn in generic places, small buildings, bars, cafes, etc. They have, I think its a 0.11 chance of spawning or something around there (I may be wrong, but it's something close to that). I looted mine from a tent raid... we found 10 tents sitting in trees, in a row, looted just about everything you can find in the game... even NVG's and a L85 with NV scope. Keep looking, you'll find one eventually :)

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2

Bear traps are def. not common. Buddy of mine ran into one yesterday while we were raiding a crap ton of tents. Him hitting that trap was the least of our worries, simple morphine injection and bandage and he was good to go!! The loot was better than finding NVG's at the airfield... found NVG's, L85, AS51, M4's, you name it those 8-10 tents we came across had just about every thing in the game LOL!!! To bad I got sent to the debug forest after that... not respawning this char. until I find out if the new patch moves me or not. It would be nice if it would come out on time...

If it walks like a zombie, sounds like a zombie, it's a freekin zombie. If they were infected they would have more coordination or still be human and not attacking people.

As a former Marine playing this game I only have three words to say... I LOVE IT!!! I mean sure the bugs and de-bug forest issue have been annoying as hell, but I can pretty much live on my own in the game. I love the topographical map (if anyone needs a map reading class hit me up). The zombies... yeah they are buggy still, but good so far! Another thing, I know some people are saying it's okay they are able to open doors etc. etc. Thing is zombies are like little babies, or at least their brain is. Babies and zombies have this one thing in common... they want to "suckle". Zombies are simply hungry babies that want to feed on human flesh. They have no other cognitive development what so ever therefore opening doors should not be possible for them. I donno why some people are complaining about lasting only 30 mikes (minutes). It's called survival of the fittest for a reason, you probly won't start with a weapon or any food. You just gotta know how to be stealthy and learn how the zombie operates :)
