As i noticed that many guns share the same caliber i startet to wonder why i allways have to throwe an empty magazin away like a soda can why not keeping it and refill it with similar ammo from an other magazin. For example empty an FN FAL magazin by shooting now u have an empty magazin in ur inventory it was ur last magazin waht to do now u like ur FAL or just dont find an other weapon but wait wahts that an DMR magazin laying on the ground u grap it remove the bullets and put them in ur inventory drop the empty DMR magazin and refill ur FAL clip with bullets from ur ammo stack and ur ready for a new conflict some technical data removing bullets from a magazin will create an ammo stack of the speciffic caliber and can only be used to refill an compatible magazin refilling a magazin will take about 15 to 20 sec to prevent in combat abuse and keep realism each stack hav a max limit different caliber could have different stacksizes if the ARMA2 Engine prevent item stacking it could be avoided by creating an Item like ammunition pile wich has an set amount of uses wich get replenishd by emptying magazins and get used by refilling magazins also a possible new loot object at heli crash sites called ammunition box with a set amount of bullets i gladly see any constructive criticism

    Bandit/Survivor Skins- WE NEED THEM BACK

    in the actual gameplay there are bandits wich can kill out of fun or greed without fearing any consequences and survivor wich either have to kill on sight to defend them selfe or have to wait till someone opens fire on them waht puts them in a havy disadvantage there is actual no way to effectivle do anything against bandits without slaughtering countless innocents a kind of badit branding will give the opoturnity to save ur bullets for this who deserve them

    @lockpwnage a bit more consructive critism would be better than just denying @allseeing i dont think this would fit in DayZs Sandbox setting we need to wait for gameplay developments like liberation, settling .etc i agree with the looting is to main focusd and to easy so the non player emitted danger should be buffed so u have the feeling that u have something accomplisht by surviving another day and not only cause no one shoot u in the head
  6. @Specter911 u have my full support i will also bump this cause it needs to be im part of an moding team as model designer for over a year now and unreasoned disagree is just irritating and anoying before u disagree with an idea have some serious thought how u would make it better or why this isnt a good idea or shut the hell up

    sounds fun +1 but only if the log of prob is solved also brings me a nice idea how to take bitter sweet revange on bandit step1 KO by rubberball or beanbag(more ironic) step2 break his legs step3 take his morphin step4 throwe flare at him step5 shoot in the air step6 get to a save point with good view final step eat something tasty and watch him being swarmed by zeds

    Body Armor

    +1 for this it would be one of the first things i look for during any post apocalyptik scenario its just a shame thats bucky paper bodyarmor (31 times stronger than steel and 4 times lighter) still needs a few years of research but military zombies should have a chance to wear it there were most likely in combat before they got infected

    i think its ok to hide a body in the ground but its bullshit u can do it without a shovel or something like this it also it would take more time and even if buryed there would be traces and u could retrive it a more effecient way would be burning it with a jery can but it would smoke and atract other beings

    the confusion about the zombie behavior is caused by the missing of a proper explanation i dont know waht rocket has in mind how exactly the ZApocalyps startet but i will try to give a bit vary of how it could be caused first we have do differ between real undead wich are made by necromancy and have a potential unlimeted power and the infectet wich are either reanimatet corpses (like the dawn of the dead or resident evil zombis) or infectet living (wich is most likely the one we encounter in DayZ) for this kind there several possible explanation i only tell the most reasonable in my opinon for now wich is based on the Ophiocordyceps unilateralis its a parasitic shroom that infect ants and alters there behavior the shroom takes full control over the ants movement and perception theroretical a similar organism could affect humans it would significantly alter the personality the host wouldnt decay like the old fashioned zombie it rather would become "simple" the perception would be reduced to the basics nearly no interpretation of sensual data the olfactory sense would higly possible the prime sense cause it would indicate pray on a few key substances like co² from breath and butyric acid from sweat the visual sense only would be used to avoid obstacles using visualdata from a foreign organism would need an impresiv amount of cognitiv capacity the phisical abillitys of the host wouldnt decrase even incrase slightly cause of the dumping of stress hormones the hunt of other live forms had two reasons nutriton of the host to keep him alive while the parasite feeds from the host and reproduce of the parasite this is my personal explaination of the dayZ zombis hope u like it and find it reasonable

    normaly a defi wouldnt be need so revive someone its used to stop ventricular fibrillation wich apears in 85% of the first minuts of a cardiac arrest but a cardio pulmonale reanimation would always be needed and even could do the job alone it also would be need to make the blood transfusion working during a cardiac arrest bassicly there should be a way to reanimate without a defi having a defi only would make it more effective the most reasonable procces would be Step 1. Bandage the wound to prevent further blood loose Step 2. Give blood transfusion to refill blood stand and stabilize blood pressure Step 3. Start cardio pulmonale reanimation to start blood circulation and hope it will run further on its own Step 4 Optional. use defi to reset hartbeat and get rid of possible ventricular fibrillation Step 5 if still unconscious give epipen to raise bloodpressur and oxygen saturation to ensure conscious so revivng would be possible but very time consuming and not with a 100% change wich leaves the group vulnerable a defi would raise the chance of a sucsses and prevents after-effects like sudden unconscious, pain and short-windedness also a certain risk of broken bones during the cardio pulmonale reanimation

Waht does this mean setting new law and enforcing it organized hunts on bandits and zeds keping a list of known bandits so u will be warned if some of them are on your current server creating a base of trustworthy players to coop being ready to take advantage of new potential gameplay mechanics as generators, better fortifications, retakeing and rebuilding the wastland and much more we never will be a clan hupefully we will be even more hopefully we will be an comunity of survivers wich determine them self to bring order into the chaos wich was caused by the infectet and coldblooded. Cause if not we who will? and as Rom wasnt build within a day we wont but were eager to growth and evolve trough this who want to be a part of something bigger and we will bring hope and future to every zombie hauntet orphan outthere with greetings the first NCR Member
  18. would love to see this +1 from me it would realy motivate me to organize some sort of gouverment and an active radio station would make this even better making some kind of wastland musik radio like u had in fallout having scouts and bandit hunters out there wich get informed by radio just some toughts on how to use th new gained power

    @WhiteTigerShiro interisting idea with the statistic would support this and its right there never was a situation like in dayz but there was situations wich an compareable psicological pressure for example the Holocaust ( i realy didnt want to anounce this ) but especialy germans who helped jews by hiding them put them and there beloved ones in grave danger just for the sake of helping people they dont know i said its not the same situation cause the danger didnt come frome the one u help but the results could be the same and on the other side it was an big risk for a jew to trust an german cause he was basicly part of the system wich tryed to wipe his kinde from the surface and even a bandit should fell gratefull if someone finds him bleeding and near death on the floor and gives him medical treatment this would make the differnce betwen an opoturnistic bandit and a psycopath

    @WhiteTigerShiro ok now i understand ur point but i still think that the people who would comite coold blooded homicide would be a minority even if nearly all would live after there own rulles this rules would be determined by there personal level of morality so some a few do murder most would try to avoid unneeded contact and some would directly seek social structurs by seeking other survivors

I like the idea would improve the way me and my friends aproach a other player we try to avoid confrontation by roaming the wast lands and dont shoot on sight cause we normaly notice other survivers first, no wonder we were blessed with helicrash sites so we have 2 L85A2 AWS a M107 and a M249 so 2 of us aproach while the other 2 stand back and seek a good positon as soon as in voice range he get informed about the situation than asked if needing medical treatment and checking hartbeat dont know if still implentet than after that we draw back telling him not to follow us. Till now it worked most players out ther become pretty tame knowing 2 scops are pinning them down other player arnt allowed to follow us till they join us in Teamspeak cause we think i stabilize some kind of trust

    The problem in this realism concept is that a very major part of social interaktion is missing the knowledge of human nature normally there were several indicators for the intentions of someone the eyes, voice, movment, facial expression and much more this would make the main part of the decisson if u trust or not the only way i can come up with to replace this cause its an extremy complex system is some kind of player branding

    auto attach a flare to every bandits forhead would be funny as hell but it would by far go overboard just give us the banditskin back and everything should be fine if someone is skilld enough to conceal his position than he deserved his kills but if i succsess in scouting him or sneaking behind him i deserve to paint the wall in bandit brain gray but as righteous survivor i want to know that i shoot a bandit
