Date/Time: 5/25/12 2:50PM EST What happened: Crawled into a barn, definitely unseen by patrolling zeds. It's one of those barns usually with loot, with stairs on both sides (3 levels total). I crawled around behind some crates, and heard the gentle moans of a Z just outside from where I was. Decided I should eat some food, which necessitated giving up the crawling position - Zed, still out of sight outside the barn, made the aggro noises, and I think I could hear the sound of his 'swiping' attacks. Went back to prone to chill for a minute, then zed came in the other door to attack -- he went back to stumbling mode for a few seconds, then resumed his attack. I was quite certain that there was no visible line of sight when the aggro happened, and by the time the zed showed up inside the barn I was definitely prone again. I can only imagine that he "saw" me through the walls, unless eating food makes that much of a ruckus... Had this happen on the last ver (1.5.7 I think). A bandit spawnkilled me (and I got swarmed by zeds). When i restarted, screen was grey with the hourglass. I waited it out, and found I could only crawl in place, take no actions, and fire an invisible gun. I tried on another server, same thing -- had to wait for hourglass, then stuck in place. Had to re-spawn to fix it.

OK, so after two versions of being unable to connect to any server (always get "you have been kicked off the game") I think I've figured out the problem to be BattlEye-related. I have Steam Arma2/OA/PMC/BAF. When I try to "verify game cache" it finds that there is a missing file, then instantaneously 'downloads' something. When I check again however, same problem -- a missing file. If I right click OA and try to reinstall BattlEye, same thing: very brief splash screen about reinstalling BattlEye, then nothing. I feel that Steam is lying to me and not actually reinstalling shit. Any suggestions about how to get BattlEye reinstalled properly? I'm not getting any error messages per se, but I'm 90% sure this is why I can't run Day Z. Thanks, bp

You think a reinstall of OA is sufficient or should I reinstall base Arma 2 and/or the expansion packs as well? Manual BattlEye install (from their website) didn't work, and I'm not sure how OA is linked to the base game.

Hi. No matter what server I try to connect to, I get this far: I get to the game lobby, I click OK. It loads some stuff, then gets to a black screen that says "loading" and hangs there for a few seconds....then I get "you have been kicked from the game." I have: Steam CO + BAF + PMC (all updated to current) BattleEye reinstalled newest DayZ files Any advice? Many thanks.

@ChiefUltimatum - Thanks -- gave that a shot, but no dice. Didn't even get as far in the loading process (ie, only got to the lobby once) but always ends with the same "you have been kicked from the game" message.
