Yes. I like the idea of dropping the plates and losing protection from rifle rounds while losing weight. Not sure what the plates could be used for until they add customization for vehicles.

Nah I fucking hated canteens in basic and AIT. Camelbaks distribute weight better and take less space on your gear. You also don't need to take it out to drink.

You can wear those things with a backpack. Especially the the hydration pack that molle loops on the back of a plate carrier or vest.

It depends on angle, range, caliber and other factors. Also these aren't PASGT helmets, which are dated. The MICH is more resilient. I think the current in game system works. Now the MASKA helmet needs to be buffed based on videos of it surviving close range gunshots and the claim they are built from titanium, rather than steel or kevlar.

They use it in real life, then it is realistic. Just like when you claimed finding RPG-7s in Chernarus was unrealistic, you seem to be misusing the word. And yes I know the Russian military is subpar and only now attempting to modernize. But still, picatinny rails are in use with soldiers even if they they are personally purchased. The Midwest industries AK mount in game uses rails but a rail adapter is unrealistic?

I'm not saying every AKM and AK-74 should have a rail mount but they are not as uncommon as you claim that they should be dismissed. MASKA helmets are very uncommon yet we have them in game. A rail adapter that allows players to fit western red dots on their AK pattern guns would be a good thing. The fact that the Russian military does not have a standardization of optics unlike the US military for it's regular forces means it would be logical to see many variations and personalized weapons. Also the US military does not use the M4A1 as much as the M4 yet we see a healthy amount of M4A1s in game. Rare does not equal would not be good in dayz.

Popular in RUSSIA. Those photos I provided are photos of Russians, not Americans. And they seem to be very common among professional cadre. You are just arbitrarily claiming they aren't common despite my evidence to the contrary. Have some more images of Russian military and police forces:

More common than MASKA helmets,PM-73s and AK-101s. Make the rail adapter helicopter loot. M68s already are. They are already popular among civilian circles if we ever see sporter AK rifles. "I don't like rails because /k/ told me not to like them" isn't a good reason to not include them.

Very good layout. I really can see these being welcomed. The rail mount would be welcome as even memebers of the Russian military use optics such as EOTechs and M68s on their AK pattern rifles. Here is an EOTech on a VAL.

We really could use some MGs as it will cause players to spend their hoarded ammo. Links could be a commodity. American M249s and M240s use reuseable disintegrating links and their European counterparts the FN minimi and Mag 58 use non disintegrating cloth belts, however there is a conversion kit for the American versions to accept euro belts. Also the M249 can accept STANNAGs and use them reliably contray to the myth that the M249s have feeding issues with magazines.

It shoots bullets, its heavy and shiny and might be "fool's gold". Something that isn't the best weapon of it's class and heavy but attractive by the rule of cool, like Gorka Helmets, where the American Counterpart offers more protection but people choose it for aesthetics.

Nothing supernatural happens at green mountain. Thanks for keeping that loot untouched so I can get it. I might even keep my base there when persistence is fixed so the simpletons don't wander into it.
