Someone needs to tell Dianne Feinstein to fuck off.

I like this idea. If it was very inaccurate as you would need to saturate an area with a forward observer for balance. If done right it could make a player driven hazard. Also you could fire flares or smoke.

There were Americans and UN forces during the outbreak. M45s and M50s would be issued during such an event.

The Community's List of Suggested Weapons for Dayz Standalone (Version: 1.29)

I think we all know import restrictions are pocket infringements on 2A, I don't think you'll catch hate for venting frustrations on such things. -
The game needs other NATO masks such as the M50 or the M40 http://cdn2.armslist.com/sites/armslist/uploads/posts/2012/04/22/377277_02_m40_gas_mask_brand_new_size_sm_640.jpg http://www.916arw.afrc.af.mil/shared/media/photodb/photos/100416-F-5977S-001.jpg

The Community's List of Suggested Weapons for Dayz Standalone (Version: 1.29)

I own a saiga 12 that I had to convert with American made parts to revert to it's intended design, that config has a butchered fire control group to make a complaint model for importation to the US and a stamped plate to prevent the receiver from being exposed. If it had to be modified from it's original configuration, it's not the "standard version" as you stated. -

Thats not the Standard version of the Saiga 12. That is the version modified for importation into the United States. Our gun import laws suck ass. The factory version of the Saiga 12 has a pistol grip, the fire control group is further ahead on the receiver and has a rifle stock with no grip. The Saiga 12 is more common than casual video games imply in the civilian sector at least. It's a pretty cool gun and runs well. -

You really should add the MG3 to your listing. -

OP your entry on the M134 is wrong. It is not a "Vulcan". The Vulcan is the M61 20mm cannon. And the G3A3 wasn't developed in the 1950s, it was a later variant of the G3. -
I think odd berets like those Air Force MP ones would be good to add.

Huh? My issued ACOG is the 4x32 TAO1 and that's on an M4. Also unlike most of the shit Dean Hall got wrong with weapons, the reticule for the ACOG in game is correct.

It's cool that you want to blindly shill for the devs in this game. Whats not cool is how you tell all the others on this forum to fuck off unless they belong to reddit or some other media that will censor criticism to please them. The "Suggestions" forum has loads of great ideas (Granted there are a lot of bad ideas, but the bad ones are overshadowed by the good ones) that will never come to light because of people like you thinking it's okay for the devs to treat their userbase like crap simply because they may read mean things about them on the internet. If they thought they weren't going to hear such complaints on their own forum then they should grow thicker skin. It may sound hypocritical to say the devs have to put up with hate from the users, and listen to the same users but it's what they signed up for and they have to come to terms with it. The Devs had their timeline to make a "foundation" for the game and that window was closed with the long delayed alpha release. -

The fact that this update announcement thread is is so old it is over 100 pages long with no implementation is reason enough to complain. -

The game isn't from Scratch, there is a lot of content from the Mod and ArmA 2, its their fault for not using more resources that they can use with their license from BI. Also If the forum users aren't sucking the Dean Hall and the dev's off at every moment and giving them praise, they should go to places like reddit and twitter where they will only hear things they want to hear? Please. People are upset and if they didn't want to hear it they could make like Phil Fish and give up. If they can't stand they heat then they should get out of the kitchen. -

So the Dean Hall Internet Defense Force's excuse for the dev's short comings is Well you shouldn't have bought it anyway"? People bought this product to show their support and hope their purchase furthered development. The whole development course shows a trend that Dean Hall and his pals or ether way in over their heads or don't care enough to finish this project. The game was released late for one. A large amount of files were simply ported over from the mod and not original content. The text files have errors and will for a long time. There are legit things to complain about and again, simply posting "Good Job, Take all the time in the world, Anyone who says otherwise is a troll" is detrimental to the development progress and corrupts any attempt at user feedback. -

No, they don't. If the community stays vocal about issues, the devs won't prioritize crap like spray painting fire axes. -

Right because the community should be barred from imputing any criticism becuase the Devs play the game and they know everything. -

I guess you never judged politics, sports, movies or other video games unless you are directly involved with them? Lets take the Dev's god awful sin of calling recolors of existing objects new content. For one, it recolors should be released with the new object on release, second: recoloring skins doesn't take more than 15 minutes on photoshop or milkshape. It's filler. Now lets take the fact that the Dev's ignore anything the suggestions forum posts unless it's linked on Reddit. Why do we ignore the good ideas made by people on this community and cater to the DayZ reddit page? Maybe it's because Reddit is a soapbox where non conforming opinions are downvoted and the Devs can receive more of their pats on the back and thataboys for their gross incompetence. -

Well, I called it. The "its only an alpha" sayers defending the slowed progress of this project. Clearly giving the devs blind praise, reviews and support hasn't encouraged them to get with the program as the only thing the game has going for it is it's good word of mouth. If the game wasn't named "DayZ" it would have been long defunct. The game still doesn't spawn more than a handful of zombies that can walk into walls, the only changes to the map are modded in towns, a feature that could already be achieved with the mod, No vesicles, something that isn't expected for a very long time. Its time for the user-base to speak out about their displeasure instead of posting generic "great job" messages and hoping that this game will shape up. -

Such a disappointment. I know the Dean Hall internet Defense Force will chant that it's only an alpha, and I know half of that blind faith is the desire to see the project finished but fan made mods like Breaking point manages to get their shit together and that is with a dev team that does it for free. Bohemia really needs to audit the dayZ dev team to see if they are competent to to finish this project, If not they need to fire them and get a real development team to take their place like what Square did with the original Final Fantasy XIV team. -
Can an M24 put into consideration beside the Mosin?
stielhandgranate replied to mareak's topic in Suggestions
I wouldn't mind seeing th M24, however ACE mechanics need to be put in place first. This will make using a scoped rifle more emersive while detering the Call of Duty babies from playing spec ops sniper at spawn points as they tend to be incapable of handling ACE style gameplay. -
