Most of that stuff is not readily available in real life or requires specific tools. CAR-15 barrels are roughly the same length as M4 barrels. It is also a pain in ass to detach and install barrels to the upper receiver of a M4 upper. Unless you want to swap the entire upper, but then you have a fixed carry handle from a CAR-15 and no accessory rail. Not comparable with a M4 buffer due to different gas tube length You can't just file off a fixed scope on an AUG and glue or screw a rail. AUGA3s with rails are planned however. AUG HBARs are already planned. Not common at all. You can't just paint Tritium to sights like glow in the dark paint. Plastic junk seen at American gunshows not popular elsewhere.

Bullpup rifles have several flaws. Simply designing a rifle in a bullpup configuration does not make it more accurate. You run into issues like having the fire control group and the trigger group needing to be separated.The M4 and M16A2/M16A4 are ambidextrous, not as much as they could be, but far more with practice. The safety can be be selected with your left thumb, there is a brass deflector that prevents your face from eating hot brass. Have trouble with the charging handle? Rotate your weapon clockwise one quarter turn and grab it the charging handle lever with your right hand. Bolt release? Tap it with your left index finger. I'm a lefty too. The M4 is far more lefty friendly than the L85, which is totally non ambidextrous or the French FAMAS and Austrian AUG, which can be converted to left hand configuration but now means a right handed person cannot use it until an armorer converts it back. Sometimes the grass is always greener. One of the reasons the M4/M16 and M9 get a bad rep from it's users because in the military, we are given these items without choice. People tend to dislike things we are forced to use without options. Look for new production FN M4s and M4A1s. The safety selectors are fully ambidextrous. My unit has 60 of them to the pleasure of lefties that have had the good grace to have one issued rather than a Colt M4.

In farms and houses I think trophy uniforms and Equipment from WW2 would be a neat addition. In wartime, people tend to collect stuff like that so it isn't too far fetched to see in in someone's residence and bandit clans could use them as uniforms, much like the current use with clown masks and gasmasks. As for any markings that could be considered controversial, they could be rendered blurry. There could also be camo versions as well, some patterns which, look like they inspired the gorka patterns. German stahlhelms were also given similar matching helmet covers.

This. Your jackets and vests aren't safe from zombie attacks. What makes you think your gear will be worth salvaging for something other than a badly damaged can or some ruined ammo that you might salvage a few rounds from. Raiders,Bandits,contributors of the call of duty fanfiction wiki? Well they killed you for a reason right? What makes you think anything worth taking will still be there? One of the most scary things in the mod, besides the empty rumors of bloodsuckers and snorks being implemented was the noise of flies on a player corpse. -
Do you say this from your military experience? There are several bullpup rifles like the L85 that are plagued with serious issues like non-ambidexterity. If bullpup rifles are so superior, why does the British SAS use Diemaco C8 and C7 rifles, weapons based off M16 and M4 rifles?

I find the update disappointing due to the utter lack of new content. Aside from Cholera and zombies spawning on you like in the mod once you killed one, what else is new? Zombies barrage attack you and score up to five hits for one strike. No new items it seems. Do like the abundance of police uniforms and tents, seems logical. Submachineguns and their mags should be lowered. Big backpacks spawning in civilian areas was overdue. Its a meh update. -
To kill the idiotic notion that the Bundeswehr has no force projection or incapable of sending relief to East Europe, here is a peace on the German government equipping the Kurds in Iraq with thousands of G36 rifles as aid,along with several G3 battle rifles. http://www.dw.de/germany-to-arm-kurdish-forces-fighting-islamic-state-in-iraq/a-17891859 Given how we have two HK submachineguns confirmed to be in the final dayz product, HK rifles seems more likely than not.

Theres nothing wrong with not wanting over a rifle. However the community should welcome items and equipment that are not meta at all or even bad at what their applied purpose is in game. I would love to see items that are picked due to rule of cool, and put their owners in a disadvantage.

The loot increase at Police stations and military car wrecks is great

So it seems the loot tables are broken in .55, but the loot cycles for police stations and military ground vehicle wrecks, specifically the BMP are in my opinion, near perfect. It seems one can now easily recover a full police uniform or riot police camo uniform, rather then spend the greater half of a week finding a compete set. Works great for groups wanting to wear the same thing and wanting something else besides Gorka suits and TTsKO uniforms. All that needs to be adjusted now is having a similar spawn rate for military and medical uniforms in their respective areas. -

First time in a .55 police station I found a bunch of empty PM73 and MP5 mags and got false hope that empty mags are now spawning. Weapons are one thing, however it is not crazy to think that lockers,dormitories, and barracks would be littered with uniforms. You usually get more than one uniform when in a profession that requires you to wear one and, in the case of police uniforms, they offer no advantage over civilian clothes other then being bright and standing out from any environment besides the water. -
This is a Bohemia game. Don't expect one of their games to not have broken shit in it. I'm still having tracked vehicles flip upside-down in ArmA 3 then I try to drive over rocks less than 1/4th of a meter tall.

Don't forget to check derelict military trucks,train stations and gate shacks. I see backpacks spawn more often in those places on .55. -
Flamethrower packs blowing up after being shot is Hollywood nonsense. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FlamethrowerBackfire The idea of a weapon that is flawed with a pack that takes your backpack slot and has limited range while being balanced out with a easy to find fuel source compared to ammo would be great in my opinion.

You're wrong. Lost my dude with an AKM and full gorka suit on 1P view hive, crawled to a police station,alone and discovered a PM73 (For the first time in my possession now), an MP5 and more than enough riot police uniforms for me and any buddy I might find. The only thing I miss is my Faceplate helmet. Zombies? Sneak past them fuckers. Melee too weak? Fuck hitting them, find a police station and recover a submachinegun. Too loud? Find a suppressor at those check point buildings with the overhang and raised surface. -

The new update was a loss win in my opinion. I feel that wondering zombies are easy to sneak past, however it's bullshit that if I kill one with a suppressor equipped gun, the horde script still drowns me in undead as if I just smashed two trash can lids together. -
