Going on youtube finds you a lot of examples of home built flame throwers.

On one hand most militaries have abandoned the concept of a flamethrower for ordinance that delivers thermobarics like bomb dispensed napalm, and as far as small arms goes, the M202 FLASH and RPO-A Shimel. However, Backpack style flamethrowers see civilian use for industrial purposes and in various works of fiction are used to dispose of mass amounts of dead like the ones would form in a zombie scenario. I'd say the ladder would make good civilian loot while the former M70A1 and RPO-A being military loot worthy of being rare crash site pick ups, unlike the current "rare" loot of small arms like the M4 and AUG. As far as flamethrowers being overpowered, their prevention of equipping a normal backpack,short range and limited fuel would balance it, metagamers would find small arms already found in civilian areas to be more adaptable. It would be nice to see flame zombies.

Another thing to consider is that fact that with these weapons and equipment, there is no issue of permissions or royalties unlike current equipment such as the "CR" rifle and pistol or "Gorka" uniforms that are now named after a region in Chernarus rather than simply meaning "Mountain Suit" in Russian . -

Being alone in a SHTF situation is going to be more difficult than being in a group. Ideas and mechanics shouldn't be dismissed just because it will put people alone at a disadvantage. Players still can't give themselves blood or IV drips or help themselves when unconscious. This should be expanded upon. -
Yes.I would like to see something where a M4 could be fired without a Handguard, but you could burn your hands.

I like this idea but then weapon parts would have to be more common that complete weapons are in the current build. Something like looting zombie soldiers and vehicle wrecks for ruined guns that may have parts worth salvaging would be neat.

A suppressor mounted on top of a muzzle break rather than replacing it would have no effect on dampening noise from the firearm. -

Companies willing to employ anyone from this dev team will not care if the game is "awesome" or a "very good game". Its all about the profit margins. Also at this pace getting to "a good game" will take another several,several years. I can't believe this game went thought a price increase. Its hard enough scarping others together to play this game when the novelty wore off long ago. -

With their earnings they could have licensed a real game engine and consulted real world companies like Colt Defense and FN to feature their products but instead we have the game in it's current state where persistence is a joke and we have "CR75" pistols and other parody nonsense. Now the development team has no motivation to finish as it already received their profits upfront. -

Yeah just noticed that. Handguards: Upside down Suppressors: Screw on top of the muzzle break/compensator instead of replacing it You would think for a dev team of over 100 people they could hire someone that knows something about firearms. -

That isn't a true comparison. Items in this game don't work like they do in game. In real life you can hit a man sized target with an M4 with iron sights at 300 meters. In this game you cannot. In real life if someone kills you, you do not spawn in a fresh body like a cylon from battlestar galactitca. There is nothing wrong with allowing people play in a sandbox mode, especially when this game is in the "testing" phase and supposedly we, the users are to help with development.

Add these as a common spawn near shipards and military tents. Its a military uniform, but one that will not blend in in the environment. Good trade off in my opinion. Make OCPs the desired American camo uniform, blends in, but make it rare.

Its very doubtful that these are Norinco AKs. If it was the middle east then maybe, but East Europe was the USSR's weapons export domain. I'm not too sure but I think Yugo and Romanian AKs are more common imports to the west for sporter rifles than military exports. Its not like AKs are separated in game by variants like AKMS as the underfolder is treated like an attachment. Better gameplay? Its not like the game is flooded with DMR AK rifles. The PSO-1P scope is pretty damn rare. It might be so rare we might be seeing SVD rifles being often used as Battle rifles when they are implemented.
