And for the record I have never hacked or cheated in a single video game and Ive been playing for over 20 years. Never have I killed another player in DayZ, and I've been playing since the beginning. I always try to help out others in DayZ. I travel to the airfields/firehouses every chance I get to try to acquire weapons and rare loot. But you want to know what I found is worse than hackers? Clans. Clans (or groups) that fucking horde all the vehicles in a server. Clans that horde every damn rare gun or equipment on the server. That means that Ive been playing for a few months and have never seen a pair of night vision goggles or a range finder. Ive found a few cars, and when I climb in them, drive away, the admin or whomever boots me and takes the car back, THIS is what ruins DayZ.

Hackers do suck. On the other hand if a hacker TP's me and gives me ammo and weapons I would thank him. Stop being such a pussy and thank him too.

This is awesome. Ive never killed another player in DayZ and ALWAYS ask if they want to team up and go hunting for loot. Usually they dont respond and just walk away, but when they do, theres nothing like exploring the unknown with another player you dont know from a hole in the wall. Ive been playing this game for the past few months. Something just happened that infuriated me. I loaded up a game with a few decent items, nothing too serious in the the middle of F@##ckin nowhere, BAM! Shot. No f#$#%in reason, just shot. I wonder what the f$#%k is so cool about that if youre the one doing the shooting. How is shooting someone in the middle of nowhere fun? Please, someone who has done this, HOW IS THIS FUN!? Sitting somewhere for 4 hours waiting on people to load up, to just shoot ? how is this fun?! please educate me because Id love to fucking know. Cornball motherf#$#ers. Makes no damn sense... hello, try pressing alt+control+delete then selecting "start task manager". Once that is complete alt+tab back into DayZ, you should see a message "Setup complete. Loading" (or something to that effect) and then the game should load as normal. Please let me know if this helps. thanks

Same thing happened to me, so I went and downloaded the older 94876 and applied patch. Still got the "loading" message so I pressed alt+ctrl+del->start tast manager, then alt-tab back into the game to find this message : Setup complete. Game loads in after that. Please let me know if it worked for you. thanks

I agree 100%. Theres not a single good reason to keep the broken leg/morphine in the game. I do try the 1 hour crawl thing to try to find morphine , a few times actually, thing is it wears pretty thin after the 45th time. IMO if a game puts the player in a situation where he/she is forced to hit the "quit" button, even after being alive for 4-5 hours, then I think it might be time to re-evaluate that specific situation.

This! Well said sir. It's not so much that it's too hard, it's definitely possible to get in and out with supplies out of a zombie infested town, question is...is it fun? After all it's why we're all here, because we love having fun. I have played dayz for a while , and it's no longer as fun as it used to be. Period.

Wow thanks for the post ! I knew something was recently broken since I would die within a few minutes. The answer is that you can't slow crawl without a weapon. Another tip is crawling diagonally with no weapon, zero sound.

I agree with OP, bleeds out too quickly. Right now it takes about 10-15 seconds to bleed out, should be more like 2-3 minutes.

Just to be clear I love this mod, I love Rocket and the team for all their hard work. I talk about this game every single chance I get to other gamers. This post is just to illustrate some recent negative experiences by a huge fan, who has been playing DayZ for a couple of months, in hopes that the devs might tweak a thing or two. Spawning without a weapon is not bad at all, I find its a bit more thrilling at the beginning till you get your first weapon. However I have played the last couple of weeks or so, and loot is much harder to come by. Instead there seems to be a super overabundance of empty tin cans. As a gamer of over 20 years I just feel that its not too fun to invest about 10 hours and find about 2,348 tin cans and not much of other loot. Imagine carefully sneaking into and out of 3-5 different towns, and a few farms sprinkled in between with nothing but a can of coke and and a box of .45 ACP ammo. It's not that fun. At first I thought that it was a one time deal, but this has been my experience for the last couple of weeks. Combine that with the still super-hearing and super-vision equipped zombies that crack bones like butter and you got yourself a recipe for a pretty disappointing dish. Dont let me get started on crawling for 3 hours because a wooden door or zombie broke my legs, and morphine is harder to find than a fully repaired helicopter. Another favorite of mine is walking for endless hours with my 3 monitors glowing black and white, trying to find an animal to kill for some much needed blood. I can even deal with the 1 hour swim to shore, after spawning in a gillie suit in the middle of the ocean. But these are all for a different discussion and will get/have been fixed. Before anyone gives me the side-eye, please know that I love difficult games. Easy games are an epidemic in the industry, and its time someone had the balls to make it this difficult. Finally, my only wish at this moment is for actual loot to spawn and not empty tin cans. Especially weapons, at least just to defend yourself from the zombies like a hatchet. Makes it more interesting to explore your surroundings, to find loot, not empty tin cans. Thanks to the entire Dev team, and especially Rocket. Fan
