Also could come back after a server restart. On my server I've seen our tents come back up empty after a reboot and they refill properly after another.

That is very odd but I only use the in-game browser or six launcher so can't confirm.

I don't lock or password my server on a reboot because it can handle the massive connection spam that usually follows. However I find the amount of bitching posts following restarts/updates, hilarious. I'm reading these forums more and more every day. There are so many crybabies that claim an admin hacked this or rebooted, to only be proven false. It just shows the lack of tact by most players. It's the WoW-generation. Be reasonable before you make a post crucifying the admin of whatever server. Hell I've seen at least 15 people today alt-f4 on my server after being shot at and haven't started QQ posts or banned them for it. Sadly I guarantee if I got killed and restarted my server, they'd be on here registering a forum account and posting like I shot their dog and raped their mother.

Ryahn you should start your own hosting company. I don't rent HFB but since you've come on board your presence is felt more on the boards then the HFB guys ever did. Might as well profit if you're doing all the work.

Stable place to play. If you make a camp, you'll know you'll have a place to go home to for it versus a random server that could cancel any moment. You also get to say you helped grow DayZ into the mod it is now. It's almost no different then hosting a CS:S/TF2/BF3, etc server. I don't reserve slots on my game servers for my community. My belief is if you take care of the server and have a great place to play, people will donate (clan or not) to keep it open. No donation perks and no reserved slots and my dedi gets payed for in whole by donations :).

Hotfix for hive being installed in 5 minutes.

It's based on the GMT of the server. However I'm not sure how Vilayer is able to pull off varied timezones with multiple instances on a single box.

Do you run separate HDs for MC and DayZ?

Took 3 days for vehicles to spawn on my server when I got it up.

Updated to 1.7.2.4 and Beta 95389.

Anyone have this problem? My server is EXTREMELY slow to load players from the connect window in when it's nearly full. I only play on my server so I'm not sure if it's an issue on anyone else's? The server performance is fine once you finally load in, it's just getting in the game that seems so slow.

It's mostly hive issues. Since last few updates.

I'm sure the cash alone is enough incentive for them to bypass things.

Back up to 50 slots since loading when full works great now. Ping kicker still 200 though.

Mine is in MoTD and I can't get BEC to work with scheduling messages. Still get people bitching.

Just an update. I had an SSD installed on my server and load times were cut down dramatically. It's now 1-2 mins down from 5-7.

My server is daytime most of the afternoon (1pm+ cst) into the night.

Just ban them...

SSD really makes a difference on "loading" when server is full.

Server is and will be down for a bit longer. We've upgraded to SSD drive and it's taking a bit to move the data from the slow old drive to the new fast drive.

Find another server to play in should be the admin's response to this.
