  1. Keep in mind some settings cannot be modified and if you do, I believe they revert. There's a list of the line items that cannot be changed per difficulty somewhere on the arma2 wiki.
  2. Doubtful. Just schedule restarts and that will clear them up.
  3. We're a Dallas box and it's dedicated. Runs fine and most of our members play from all around the US and Canada/UK included. We have TS3. It gets light on our server around 1pm CST and is light most of the night, well past midnight for you. Check more details in my sig link.
  4. Well seems a bit better. Only 1 time it has desynced tonight and it was very brief. I'm running at 40 slots instead of 50.
  5. Yeah Daks. I believe there's an issue with the patch / Hive. Mods haven't confirmed yet but I started this thread: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/28745-desyncing-my-server-or-hive/ As you can see a ton of guys are having the same problems we are now since 1.7.2.

  9. We had some fishy deaths on our server tonight when we were running around. They could have been legit but I'd like to go through the logs to see if we died to an actual player or something else. Where are the logs stored? I'm only seeing the scripts.log which I assume is only for people running scripts?

    Bump for question above. Also if you're killed by someone using silenced weapons. Do you still hear the bullet thump when it hits you like on normal weapons?
  12. I'd hate to rollback for this. Minus the desync issues, the server performance and utilization is much lower then 1.7.1.5. Also can anyone confirm that the issues disappear on 1.7.1.5? Hell I don't even have my old Hive file saved anywhere. Could you even use the old Hive file to connect?
  13. Server slots reduced to 40 and some alteration to bandwidth to try and fix desync issues. Speculating it is the 1.7.2 update but will do this temporarily if it helps until they resolve issues on their end.
  14. I feel better that it's not my server with everyone else posting. However, I did lower the slots to 40 and have deleted my arma2.cfg and let the game rebuild it. Guess we'll see if that helps. I'm assuming with no min/max bandwidth that it's going to give the server all the bandwidth it wants? Shouldn't matter since I had so much to spare. I'll post the results. Wish a mod dev would chime in and state whether it could be hive load or not still though.

  18. Server was hotfixed about 15m ago. Sorry about all the restarts and issues. I assure you it was all 1.7.2's fault :).
  19. Yeah I did. Could it be something to do with me using the public IP to connect to it instead of the internal IP even though it's really residing on the server?

    All the people complaining about bugs in an alpha probably haven't even been in a real beta. There's a reason alphas aren't typically open to the public and even most betas...

    Yeah I considered that but more then half are in game according to HLSW. Still seems a little lower then normal. I was hoping the "cleanup fix" was really helping :)
