Actually i can't see them unless i have my glasses, my complaint is that all the zombies have perfect 20 20 vision. Which I know a lot of people don't have now a days -

I never run, never did before any of the patches. I strictly crouch walk yet i still get aggro'd. Plus do we really want Day of the Dead(2008) super human zombies? Cause when you look at it, who the hell wants to be human when you have that kind of power? -

The zombies have better vision then most people do in real life, to me that is bullshit. Also the zombie hearing could also use tweaking, its impossible to sneak attack a zombie because it can hear even while you're crawling prone. These zombies or "infected" ARE super humans, They have enhanced strength, speed, hearing and vision. On top of that they never get tired. -

I have a dell Inspiron 546(not slim) with an amd Athlon II x4 630 processor, windows 7, 4 gbs of ram, an ati radeon hd 4350 graphics card, 1920 x 1080 monitor and a 300w power supply. First I need to upgrade my power supply to a 400w since that's as high as my motherboard can take according to dell. I'm planning on doing it with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104096 The graphics card I'm considering using is this http://xfxforce.com/en-gb/Products/Graphics-Cards/AMD/ATI-Radeon-HD-5000/ATI-Radeon-HD-5570.aspx Its cheap and it better then the reccomended graphics card for arma II. But before I do anything I just wanted your approval, I'm only upgrading for dayz and dayz only so I want to know, will I be able to run arma 2 on high to very high settings with no problem on this card? Is it good, will it last? I'd like to hear what you have to say before I spend any money.

I already this, if you really wanna make friends then you must first ask them "do you need anything"? Offer them supplies, show them that you only care about making friends with others. It usually works for me. I gave a guy a blood transfusion and in return, I got a makerov with 5 clips -

what about 3d resolution, is that controlled by cpu too? I have my resolution at 1920x1080(1920x1080 monitor) and 3d resolution at 67% edit: yeah... after tinkering around with it and doing different combinations, the frame rate only got lower so i guess im keeping it on low settings for now. -
i was in the zelenogorsk super market picking up some loot and all of a sudden, everything in the store disappeared.

One other thing, why is the recommended graphics card requirements for arma 2 and arma 2 OA so different? We play on an arma 2 map so it shouldn't really affect anything right? -

I know people are suggesting that I wait until I can buy a better graphics card. But at this point, i'll just settle for normal settings, AA and post process effects disabled, at 1920x1080 3D resolution with atleast 30-20 frames per second in cities and forests. An ATI radeon HD 5570 should be able to atleast get that done right? -

My problem with the zombies is that they have better vision than I do in real life. Why do all these zombies have perfect 20 20 vision? Without my glasses, i can't tell a person from from a mailbox at the distance these zombies aggro from. -
Dogs are already built into the arma engine. Rocket said at Rezzed that they will be implemented into the game

I'm all for giving players an incentive to play at night, but lowering loot spawns during the day isn't the right way to go about it.

I'm just saying its worth experimenting with in the long run if rocket ever gets the arma engine to work with melee weapons. Plus it adds more realism and desperation into the game causing players to take more risks then before(ex: pointing a gun w. no ammo at survivors) That is after all, what rocket wants. It could happen you guys, it just depends on what rocket wants.

well we could just take the current hatchet spawns and mix it up with different melee variations. Sledge hammer, shovel, rake, etc. it just an idea I would like to see rocket experiment with. This alpha is nothing but a big experiment after all
