not banned from Dayz but from a server.
[email protected] replied to ukiisherman's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
The appeal has been granted. This player has been reinstated on our server with all privileges. The script in question is of an unknown quantity and while there are questions about it, the player has been found in all other areas to be free of suspicion. I for one would love to know what this script does so that we may avoid attributing "false positives" to players when accused of hacking. On Dallas 1 we have a top notch group of game officials who are concerned with offering an environment free of hacking and drama. If you are looking for a regular server to play on please consider ours. Gaius214 Adrenaline-gaming.net -

Haze, we have a real problem at the moment with script kiddies. Thus, I have a ban first, let people appeal policy. Over the last 5 days we have been hit pretty hard on our server Dallas 1. At AG we have a strict policy of allowing anyone to appeal any ban. Then we go and look at all the available information and policies to make sure we are making the right call. This guy is well known on the server, has a pretty good rep and we were a bit shocked. I am handling the ban appeal myself and have already let the guy know through our forum process that it will be resolved within 24hrs. I am disappointed that the issue has migrated here, I was hoping for a bit more "maturity". Again, with hackers specifically we look at the scripts then ban...and allow the process to play out. Relax, enjoy the game and lets leave the emotion for the Olympics. -
I have a serious issue on the server I manage. Nearly every building of significant drop value is "wired". While, this is great for cross server "farmers". It represents a serious gameplay issue for those players who are looking to "re-gear" after a reincarnation and wish to stay on a server. The simplest workaround, besides not dying...ever again. Is to make wire not require a toolbox. Simply click and remove it and off you go. While this will create serious issues for those that cross-server farm (in that they won't be able to block off servers they simply farm from), those that are in the server to play the game will experience a significant ease of burden and increase in play enjoyment. Thanks for your consideration.

I consider myself a pretty level headed guy, not prone to losing my temper. In fact I work really hard at keeping my cool and not "sweating the small stuff". Yesterday after nearly 25 days I was killed by what I will essentially call "friendly fire". The guy was in our ts and I cut loose on him with a verbal tirade of almost epic proportions. My daughter lost a shoe yesterday and this morning my wife cut loose on me with a verbal tirade of nearly epic proportions over the issue. I could take the above situations and switch myself and my wife out for pretty much any person in life and in dayz. We all get geared up and feel pretty good about our incarnations, trying hard to keep them going (even knowing that they will end). We also are all faced with small stuff in life that just seems to set us "off". Yes there are problems and sometimes things just don't work out right (the latest patches for example). We just need to keep our perspective on that and focus on the enjoyment of the experience, knowing that things will get better (and we can always buy more shoes). Guess I just am reminded that this mod, like life is pretty sweet overall and sometimes we just need a little perspective realignment. I know I will be looking out for that guy to apologize to him, then get back to trying to eek out a bit more time in my current incarnation...and making a trip to the shoe store today. Thanks Dev team for your efforts keep at it!

It's Impossible to See at Night! - Other threads will be locked/deleted!
[email protected] replied to daish's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
2 solutions, simply don't play at night or work to get some nvg's. I enjoy the mod quite a bit however I don't enjoy playing at night. So, I when the server I manage gets dark I sign off (AND I have NVG's) Thus, I fixed my play experience..perhaps you should do the same. If unsatisfied with the quality of your experience either work within the the scope of the sim or simply leave and go play farmville. -
Simply see this link http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/malicious?s=t Your comments and conduct in and around both forums qualify. I have set your ban at 14 days. You may return then. Please in the future refrain from such talk. Honest, lucid, intelligent discourse is encouraged and opposing opinions are not only encouraged but necessary.

Mofokk, The first line is a direct quote from you from a post on these forums. I offered to make myself available in TS and via chat while you were logged into our forums after you saw that message, you declined multiple opportunities. Instead, you chose to come here and share only part of the situation, the part that supports your position. Clearly if you feel we are shit, then we can't and don't meet your expectations. To simply stop this cycle we are on (where you are repeatedly not satisfied) and are unwilling to communicate in a lucid and mature fashion. I am removing you from the situation. I have no issues with you in game. I just know that sometimes people just aren't going to be happy and after numerous attempts its best to simply cut the "cord" and allow people to move forward independently. This has nothing to do with in game conduct, as I am basing this ONLY on your exact words. Banning a player who WANTS to play on our server (as the logs show you on for awhile) is in part counter-productive and it pains me to do it. However, I must always put the play/peace of the whole community before individuals. I hope you find a better home, that both suits you and your play style. I am sorry it couldn't be ours.

CortezV, I will not comment on most of your post except to say again, that the 2 posting by me represent the sum total of AG's public comment here. As to your question at the end, I won't go into exactly how I come to decisions as that would take a lifetime, however I will add I am both retired and fairly even-tempered (although my daughter grey's my hair a bit more everyday). I will sum up the process: If applications are being accepted, I and the rest of the AG management team view the application. There is a comment period, then the GM (myself at the moment) makes the decision to admit alone. There is a probationary period and finally if they get 100% support their position is made permanent(a single admin objection is enough to lengthen the training period). There is no community vote to accept someone as a trainee, it's the GM that decides. However, they listen to what those that are already involved in administration of the community in some fashion and what they have to say about the applicant. The system we have set up with each game it comes down to one person the GM. They are then held accountable by the head administration team that oversees the community. Thanks for the question and I hope it answers it. Additional note on the "SP" situation. Mofokk is simply spewing rumor, 2nd and 3rd hand information. I was the one who dealt with the AG guys on the Sat when I issued the ban (on a personal note I enjoyed playing with more that one of them). It had nothing to do with the petty in-game aspects of gear, player deaths or camps ( My view is large camps are bad idea). Were Rocket himself to get involved, I would not rescind the ban. I believe I am doing what is best for the players of Dallas 1. Note, while the ban is a group ban, we have had at least one of the "SP players" involved appeal their ban on an individual basis and in point of fact I rescinded at least 1 ban. We have an appeal process and it works. Thanks again for your inquiry.

Good evening. I'm [AG] Gaius, the Game Manager of the Adrenaline Gaming DayZ server. I'd like to make a follow-up statement that will clear things up for good. First, after consultation with the Head Admins, and with their support and advice I am releasing the entire log folder from Dallas 1. This means Battleye logs, chat, markers and finally approximately 300mb of script detections. As a matter of fact, several of the individuals who have made accusations against us in the past are noted here for being hackers, and attempt to deflect the real reason for their bans. (Deph, for example.) http://www.adrenaline-gaming.net/arma2/logs/ The above is open and available for all to view. If anything is found - be it admin abuse or player cheating - then please bring it to our attention and we will promptly deal with the situation. I would also like to make clear what [AG] is, and what our policies are. Adrenaline Gaming is not a clan. We are a community built up of groups, clans and in-house squads with a variety of play styles. AG does not host any sort of “official” camps. However, some of our members, who operate as an in-house squad, do. Several of them are Dayz administrators (Game Officials) This is a portion of our Administration Code of Conduct: We have three types of administrators for the DayZ server: - The Game Manager(GM) is the ultimate authority when dealing with matters that pertain to their game and they appoint other administrators. - The Game Officials (GO) have access to in-game administration commands, and can restart the server once certain explicit conditions are met. Furthermore, the GO is the primary point of contact when dealing with players on the server. - The Technical Officers (TO) are responsible for maintaining the health of the server and keeping it up to date. All administrators are required to log punishment actions on the forums, and we have stored these posts. Ultimately we want to provide a solid play experience free of the childish disruption that we have all experienced on other games and even on some other DayZ servers. I recently “banned” an entire gaming group from our server in order to remove the clear and present danger of impending damage to the gameplay of our server. I didn’t take that action lightly, however I am resolved in my focus to provide an unmatched level of play and comfort on Dallas 1 for all who visit us in their constant quest for more beans. With the release of the above information we remove the veil of secrecy and allow all of you our fellow DayZ players a chance to see what we already feel confident of: our integrity. If anyone who reads this has further issues, a question or simply wishes to play on a kickass DayZ server. Please come to our community site, hop on, and post a message. Just leave your pack in the corner. With the pile of empty cans. Gaius214. I will ask the moderator(S) here to leave the thread open so that lucid, meaningful discussion may continue. However, the above represents the official position and statement of AG.

I am the Game Manager for Dallas 1 That means that the ultimately "the buck stops with me" as far as Dayz goes on Dallas 1. I will touch on several things and then be on my way. I play on the server, however I rarely see other AG members or other players as my play style is distinctively "lone-wolf". I have a few policies in place, one of them is my officials team does not give preferential treatment to AG members. I myself have kicked an AG member and logged the event. AG will cooperate with the Dayz development team if they decide to get involved with this issue. I am not going to get involved with a public debate over what did or didn't happen. Furthermore, I will be asking my team to avoid further debate here on this thread. Little good will come of it. I will be looking at the logs myself to ascentain what happened, who was involved and if our rules were broken the officials in question will be dealt with internally AND.harshly. If it comes up that the person in question here is merely offering unsubstantiated allegations, they will not be allowed back on the server. That kind of pollution can go elsewhere and play, nothing good will come from allowing those that have baseless issues around. I have no problems with dealing with difficult situations, Again, if a member of the my team is doing something so reprenhensible as kicking a person for killing them in a GAME or taking gear in what is ultimately an amusement then they won't be in that position any longer. AG has what I believe a good server, with lots of great play and fantastic people. Our rules are posted, easy to understand and we expect others to to obey them as we ourselves do. We will remove hackers, haters and people that merely come on by to disrupt the gameplay of others. We don't kick people or ban them for killing us or "taking items" from AG members or to make room on the server for people with an AG tag. Rest assured I will deal with this inside AG, not here. We have processes in place to deal with issues, bypassing them to come here is not likely to get the hoped for outcome. I will be open with Dayz team if they should get involved. Feel free to contact me via pm here or come to adrenaline-gaming.net and post a message for me I will respond. Thank You Gaius214 edited to create some text breaks and fix a spelling error.

I seem to have run out of island?

you aren't missing anything except that 20 in your pocket...I just lifted it. If you look at a map of the play area say this one by moocow http://www.teamfackin.com/moocow/dayz/map/ there just isn't anything more beyond the 000/000. There could have been but there isn't so turn your butt around and start hiking back to your death.... and don't mind the loss of the $20 I bought a 12 pk of Yuengling and a can of beans (never forget the beans) -
[DayZMod] The Dayz Statistics thread!
[email protected] replied to Ander (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Can you tell us the percentage of people drinking from canteens vs soda pop? How about the percentages of animals killed? M-th which day has the most campfires. How many campfires have been made? How many campfires have been made during daylight? The number of barns looted on Tuesdays between 8:15 and 8:56a GMT and then broken down by TZ's....alphabetically. (I would spring for a $5 starbucks card if you can actually divine this information...accurately) -
