As you can see there is a difference between dayzwiki and dayzdb. dayzwiki lists it as a M4A1 CCO SD, but in their description it says it's a camo. On dayzdb it's listed as a M4A1 Camo SD. I guess I should add that dayzdb mines their data directly from the mod files, so I trust their list a lot more than dayzwiki. dayzwiki is definitely wrong at times.

Possibly, I believe the only SD version of the M4A1 is the Camo variant.

That reminds me of a video on YouTube of someone who used a satchel charge to blow up an already looted helicopter. After the explosion the helicopter was gone and all of the grass was as well. They found several items that were completely hidden under the helicopter still.

It was probably already looted, but you also have to check carefully. I found a lone AS50 on a chopper that had already been looted - I had to look diagonally into the chopper between the pilot/co-pilot seats at just the right spot to see it. We had been looking for probably 3 or 4 minutes when I finally found it.

Definitely put it in your backpack like Ghost mentioned. Dropping a weapon on the ground could easily cause you to lose it.

For now, I'd highly recommend you diversify a bit and spread out items among a couple of servers at least. A lot of servers appear and disappear.

It can also delete ammo when you put a weapon in another person's backpack.

I've received the "You are dead" message around 8 times since Saturday (I'm not kidding either) when logging in. Each time it puts me back on the shore with all of my gear and leaves a corpse at my original login location with a complete copy of all of my gear - if anyone finds those corpses, they'd be very happy.

Nice raid, but definitely not the biggest. I personally took a Ural, V35, and a UAZ completely full of weapons and a lot of gear from a camp a few weeks back.

This wasn't in my backpack, but I had this happen yesterday as well. I had two jerry cans and a car tire in my primary inventory. When I logged into another server the car tire had been replaced by another jerry can.

I played with friends for around 12 hours yesterday/this morning and we play on several different servers. This happend to me 3 times during that period. All three times when I loaded into a server it says I died and then I respawned on the coast with all of my gear. There was also a corpse left behind with all of my gear that was lootable each time I died. I was always logged out away from trees/objects, etc. One time I was in the middle of a large clearing even, so there was absolutely nothing around me for 50ish meters at least.

The M4A1 Holo is a valid weapon - the valid camo version is M4A1 Camo SD

Yes, it's hacked as it appears you know. There isn't a Holo variant that is SD in the game legally - if there was one, it would be my favorite gun though :)

Just for reference, in the mined data files (from daydb.com, for example) they are called pipe bombs - that's why a lot of people still don't believe they exist.

Sounds like a valid camp to me. There are camps out there that are a LOT bigger than that even.

That is a list Rocket was playing with when he was thinking about creating the mod - it definitely isn't accurate for what's currently implemented. If you go look at daydb.com it will give you a list of the possible weapons for the current version of the mod. They mine the actual data files from the mod, so if the weapon isn't in their list, you can safely assume that it's hacked in.

If it's really right on the border, two popular places around there are right around 002093 and 001087. it would only take about 10 minutes to run up through the majority of the west side to check.

Probably an admin camp. I'd never trust that much stuff on a single server unless it was my server. It isn't a bad spot for a camp really since it's hidden done in there, but it isn't very wise to ever put your camp right on the northern border like that (or western border) as people run across them - at least I do.

In this game you just never know.

It also saves when you get off. Go to the last place you got off of it.

One of the patches had an issue with them (1.7.2.1 or 1.7.2.2) which made them not able to be picked up. 1.7.2.3 fixed the issue. They were never intentionally removed.

I play with a small group of friends and all we do is raid tents and kill people we run across while doing so. We've found dozens of tents and taken easily over 100 weapons (not to mention all of the gear associated with them) over the past several weeks. Amazingly the only item we haven't found in a tent yet is a gps, but we have several of everything else. For example, we have around 8 L85s, around 12 AS50s, about the same NVGs, 3 rangefinders, etc. So, it's entirely possible to get a lot of gear without hacking.

I think it should be something along the lines of: if you are in shock or there are players/zombies near to you, then you should have a logout timer. Otherwise, I don't really care too much. If you are just out in the middle of nowhere with no people/zombies around, just let them log out immediately.
