You'd have to code all of that in yourself.

There was a post by Rocket back in May that stated that if they did a random database sweep and found that you had a hacked weapon that your character data would be corrupted which means you'd just need to start over. There was no ban mentioned. As for hacked weapons, it's never wise to even pick them up. A lot of server admins will ban you from their server (even though it's again the hosting rules) if they find you with one. When I find them in tents, which I have on several occasions, I don't even pick them up out of the tent. I just leave them there because I don't want any logs to show that I had one in my possession.

You need a game engine that's really good about streaming in resources for a huge terrain. FPS game engines are not made for 15km x 15km areas at all. I've heard that Unreal4 will handle large terrains a lot better than 3, but we'll see when it's actually released.

I was running up the road and came across a fully repaired tan pickup truck (not white). I've never seen one before and I can't find mention of it anywhere it seems, so does anyone know if it's valid, or was it hacked in?

I had just been killed and was running North on a night server, so I couldn't see real well. When I first saw it I presumed it was a burned wreck, but it looked a little too good from the distance, so I went to look at it and then I saw the steering wheel icon and jumped in it. As I was driving off there was someone prone in the middle of the road, but I didn't catch who it was. I almost ran over him as I took off in it. The guy never seemed to move or fire at me as I drove off.

May need a server restart.

Lol. We don't hoard vehicles really, I play with a small group of friends and we raid camps. After we pillage the vehicles all we generally keep are the ATVs/motorbikes/bicycles. The others are too easy to find, so we destroy them eventually. If you ever have an ATV come up missing, I'm sure it wasn't us :)

You just have to know where to look. In addition to the supposedly hacked tan pickup I found (thread in general section), we took a total of 9 vehicles tonight and blew up 2 more.

Nope. It looks very close to the white coyota pickup, just tan - the model is a little different is all.

I'm not sure exactly, but I'm sure it's more than 20. There are 6 ATVs and I think 3 white pickups alone. 2 big buses, several bicycles, etc.

The DayZ team said there are players that appear to have two accounts and one of them is just parked in the wilderness and they use another account to run in supplies, so I'd bet there are some quite a bit longer than 90 days.

Get rid of the weapon - it's best to never even pick up an illegal/hacked weapon. A lot of server admins will ban you on sight if you have an illegal weapon - it doesn't matter how you obtained it.

I usually stay on the coast until I have a hatchet, matches, and a hunting knife (the holy trinity) which means I usually have a least a water or two and some food, then I go North.

I actually had this happen to me once. I raided an admin's camp and they shut the server down about 20 minutes later (I did get the Ural and saved it at a temp location within that time though). I kept checking for the next several hours, but it didn't seem to come back up. Well, as it turns out, they changed the server name to complete nonsense so none of the filters would find it (I happened to eventually find it because they used the same IP address and port), but by then their entire camp had already been moved. This was around 5-6 weeks ago. They eventually changed the server name back to the original one. I was able to remove everything from their Ural and blow it up though, so all was good, I guess.

I will definitely agree on this. I raid a LOT of camps and it's actually pretty uncommon of find M107s, but we sure find a lot of AS50s. I'd say we have 10x the number of AS50s compared to M107s stashed away.

Yes, it does not respawn. The loot actually gets determined when the helicopter originally spawns in - that's why you can see it in the grass from 100s of meters away - long before the zombies start appearing.

It's an interesting map to play on. Overall it's about 2/3 the height and width of Chernarus, but it's all islands connected by bridges/strips of land. I'd say the playable area is easily less than half the size of Chernarus. It is pretty urbanized with lots of cities in that area. If you run more than about two minutes in any direction you will find a city/town.

.87% chance of an AS50 per helicopter loot spawn location. Average of 5 loot locations per helicopter spawn. 5 helicopter spawns per server each restart. Most servers restart every 8 hours, so 3 restarts per day. Now, I know percentages don't add up the way I'm going to do it, but just to give you a rough idea. Approximate chance to find an AS50 per crash is 0.87 * 5 = 4.35% 5 crashes per server gives you about a 20% chance to find one on each server after a restart 3 restarts per server per day is about 60% chance each day to find an AS50 on each server. Edit: added some additional clarification. Oh, and 80% of all statistics are made up 75% of the time.

I'll only be impressed when you do it with a crossbow.

According to the debug monitor you still had 12k blood as well.
