Combined ops is still worth buying imo , even after the SA comes out just for all the custom maps. Dayz Namalsk FTW.

Look for servers with team speak. In most cases the server admins will have hellis and help you gear up. But IMO that is the best part of the game. I like to play lone wolf and after a while the zombies are really not a threat once you figure them out. If it wasn't for the bandits, I would lose interest.

1.7.3 is a step in the right direction to get PvP balanced. The hackers are a completely different story but one that we will have to live with for now. Hopefully there will be some relief in the stand alone.

If you find any gun with a thermal scope, with the exception of this http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/L85A2_AWS its probably hacked in. IMO that shouldn't be allowed either.

If they haven't had opened the private hives. I would have said wait but now there are a bunch of new maps that really open DayZ up and give it more depth.

These new maps are a great reason to get back into DayZ if you have lost interest or are waiting for the stand alone. I haven't played this one yet but it looks great.

Fallujah is pretty fun. I still haven't found a way too cook food on it though.

There are wooded areas in the map but when you try to harvest wood is says you need to be in a forest.

The ATI tool worked pretty well for me. I was actually able to navigate through an airfield with minimal artifacts the artifacts I did see were manageable.

I vote for this.

1. NEVER disconnect from a gunfight no matter how out gunned you are - If you have an axe swing it, if you have nothing create a zombie train and run away. This creates confusion and multiples targets. 2. Trust no one - If you are seeking help starting out or gearing up be weary of other players. More often than not they will kill you for your stuff. 3. Group up - Get a MIC and a VoIP program and group up with your friends and family. If you don't have any friends or family stop playing video games and go out meet people of common interest. 4. Do not get too attached to your stuff you will can always find more. 5. Be persistent- If you get shot , mobbed , or fall of a ladder and die, get back on the horse and keep playing. Starting over can be very frustrating but it can also be very rewarding when you are able to gear up again.
