I love Namalsk but its way to small, i wouldnt mind double size or even more than that. As for the standalone... no thank you, why would i be interested in buying a restricted game?, when i can have a free mod that does everything better. You think the standalone will be free of hackers ? WarZ had the same goal and look how that turned out. ;)

Simple answer you choose the wrong servers, there are many servers that dont even have tents, i got 3 servers and none of them have hacked or duped items. Forget LIngor it is as bad as Chernarus when it comes to tents and duping, Namalsk is the map to play on if you dont want to many hacked items or tents.

You realize hackers are able to give themselfes skins right? and humanity as far as i heard, meaning your play style is not safe at all. Still you need to get some water bottles to refill, matches, a hatchet and a knife before you can leave towns behind.

I rented at DayZ.st now, i grew tired of waiting 24 hours for a ticket at survivalservers, but to be fair their servers is great and reliable, their staff when they answer is helpful and friendly enough, maybe im just impatient but everyday your server is not running is money wasted. I rented a server located in Amsterdam at Dayz.st and the server came up as soon as my order was completed, Changing your server map, starting loadout and cfg is easy and free of any problems, i had immediately access to a map tool and database access and didnt have to pay extra, but most importantly their support works, they have irc, livesupport and email where you can ask any question and they will answer quickly.

The custom control panel alone is reason enough to rent a server here if you ask me, its simple yet it has everything you need including access to database and map. I didnt have to wait for the server to setup, everything was working the the minute i completed my order. I forgot to update my Lingor map and they quickly told me that i was missing a map update. Cant get any better than this. :thumbsup:

I still have no reply on my ticket and i paid 40 dollars for the server and tools so far, plus i never received login credentials for the tool i paid for either. The server has been stuck on "waiting for host" for two days now, i really want to keep the server but it has never worked after they changed the hive and i cant keep waiting 24 hours for a single reply. If it takes 5-10 bucks to give a better support each month then i would pay that, i lose more money being unable to use the server in the end.

I used to rent at Vilayer and they offered no customization on your server at all, it basically felt like running a server for them instead of having your own. Im now renting at Survivalservers.com and they offer great tools and the server seems to be very responsive, maybe because im one of the few renting a server located in europe. :P I transfered from a public to a private hive and the server havent been up and running since, the last ticket reply did not solve the issue so now im waiting another 24 hours. Their support could definitely be better, but the server ran great for a month and i never had issues with saving gear or with desyncing.

I changed from public hive to private hive and now my server is stuck on waiting for host forever, i changed from Bliss v3.5 to v3.6 and still no luck.

Having a leveling or progression system for zombies that gives certain benefits in PvP aswell is something i desire very much. This is zombie survival mod so why is nobody killing zombies ? because theres no reason to, you can avoid them and save ammo, the stuff they can drop is be aquired much easier from tents, towns or shooting players, thats why theres nothing else but deathmatch going on at the moment. What if killing enough zombies give you certain benefits and increase the more you kill ? have to be something significant enough to encourage you to shoot at something other than players, Either way i would like to see zombies playing a bigger role in DayZ making them more attractive to kill without giving up the sandbox feeling ofcourse.

Worse than ever, i had 4 mass teleports just this evening all on different servers. They will never defeat script bypassers in arma 2, i can guarantee that now, they might get plenty of extra money due to Battleye stealth updates resulting in global bans, but there are people that pay loads of money for updated bypassers aswell. DayZ wont be free of script kiddies untill arma 3, im not even sure it will be then.

Just rented a public hive server a while ago and i want the server to restart every hour or so even when im not there, also i would like a notice sent out like 10 minutes before a restart happen. How do i make this happen ? Thanks in advance.

Bec is already installed, i found a tab called "Scheduled Service Restarts" in the admin panel, so that should be solved. Thanks for the assistance, i dont know why didnt see it before. :huh:

The server offers BEC and DayZAntihax 0.5 from survivalservers.com, thats all i know. Edit: I am using Arma 2 rcon tool to manage my server remotely when im not on it. I dont see anything in the TCadmin panel.

It is kill or be killed pretty much, i do not seek out players to get the drop on them that would be to easy and i know many players does that to avoid a fair fight or simple to boost hes stats. But if i come across a player i do not know i will gun him down, no hesitation...not because i can but because i should, better its him than me.

Yesterday i got a battleye script restriction and the next time i joined a server i was standing in the wilderness for the third time within 4 days where i lost all my equipment as usual. Honestly getting killed by zombies or players or even lack of supplies i can deal with but this is just retarded.

I have been playing Dayz for a few week now and i remember i started playing by myself struggling to find a weapon. Later on my buddy joined the game did not get easier thank goodness!, but it was easier to find a weapon and more fun too. I started renting a server and from time to time me and my friend had to stock on supply in one of the hospitals in Chernogorsk. Thats where i first learned about loot camping, i saw people joining my server and spawn next to the tent i was currently at, then quickly loot what they could and leave. If you keep doing that on every server you join you can stock on equipment really fast. If your survivor could only be on the server it was created on there would be no hacking, loot camping or griefing because you would know where the players has been playing and getting their equipment from. If your survivor is on the server you play only and you put a password on your server then the game becomes easier as you no longer have to worry about other players shooting you....but then again if the server is passworded and your survivor can not move servers why would you care how people play the game?. Right now admins are banning left and right knowing its against the rules, but they do it because they have no idea who they are playing with or if they killed you with equipment that was aquired by playing or by hacking. The reason i play this mod its because you have so much to lose, either by getting killed by zombies, lack of supplys or by players, people that loot camp has nothing to lose.

Playing alone right now is hard i agree unless you do things you shouldnt be doing, for example running to a house or camp with loot then abort and rejoin to get rid of zombies. Dont do that! you want to play the game as intended or not at all. Because you start without a weapon the first thing you think about is naturally a weapon and how to aquire one, but what is most important in the long run is morphine/blood packs, water bottles (not soda) and cans of food, or if you are lucky enough to aquire a hatchet, box of matches and a hunting knife, you only need to find a animal to gut the animal and roast the meat on a fire. First get one of your friends you can trust that does not shoot you in the back when given the chance ( i was kidding! real friends dont do that) and find a spot with loot by scouting it first, then one of you run in and pull all the zombies and run with them while the other go in and loot. Now that you have a simple weapon handgun hatchet or whatever you now now need to focus hard on supplys for a while, go to both the hospitals in Chernogorsk or another town and check the medical tents for blood packs, morphines/epi-pen and pain killers. Remember the most powerful weapon is not always the best because without ammo a weapon is useless. Shotguns are great at close range and the easiest weapon to find ammo for in the game so aquiring one is a good idea unless you want to kill at range. Ak is way more powerful than a mp5 and takes less shots to kill zombies with, but a mp5 attract less attention to its surroundings with a silencer attached. To travel away from spawns and further into the land here is what you need to survive untill the next supply town. 1 Rifle/assault rifle or sniper rifle 4-8 mags depending how much you will be shooting on your way, even small towns can have alot of zombies so look at your debug monitor and think about what you kill before its dead. 1 Handgun - makarov is usable but honestly its trash if you ask me, a m1911, g17 or revolver is what you want and remember you can convert ammo. 3-5 blood packs, 2 morphines, 1-2 epi-pen, 3-5 cans of food and 1-3 water bottles that you can resuse on small ponds or wells, soda is onetime use and is only for emergency. Morphine, blood packs, food and water is the most important things mentioned here, unless you have a long range weapon and plan not to get hit i would not leave without having two morphines in my bag. The green army bags you often see on the ground you should always check what is in it, you can aquire a map and a gps or compass if your lucky but also ammo. Always check zombies for cans of food or water bottles.
