  1. well apparently synchro was recording from his side as well' date=' but refuses to upload the video becuse he 'isnt an attention whore' like I am :(

Calculon pwnd me a couple times, though.

    [hr']

    Sigh. Wish Birgirpall tried DayZ.

Why so he can make an hour long video on how he thinks the game should be' date=' otherwise it sucks? No thanks.

I think you need to be more like Synchro.

  2. You may rent the server, but it's still Rocket's game, I think it's great that's he's making sure that people are running his gamemode the way he intended it, and not the way the renter thinks it should be.

I know it may be tough to just accept people you have problems with on "your" server, but it's for the betterment of the mod.

  3. leblackdragon - And I'll say it again' date=' the numbers on the front page of the website just do not back up your assertion. Bandits and murders are just not that much of a problem save for those folks who try to enter a major city all alone with nothing but a pistol.

This game, in its current alpha state, can be played in a way that you can avoid bandits, by heading north and avoiding the hot spots like the airport. I'm not promising you won't get sniped by someone randomly, but your odds will be far, far higher than the method of play you appear to be using.

Thanks for assuming I'm a noob. Put your shoes in both parties for a moment and compare the advantages. Thank you and your numbers.

I don't see many advantages to being a bandit other than having camouflage. Of course, that camouflage comes with the distrust of other players and will probably end in you getting shot if you don't shoot first.

  4. As a bandit myself' date=' I really think people are putting too much blame on bandits.

Considering I get killed pretty much every time I try to establish contact with people, bandit skin or no, yeah I'm gonna kill everyone I meet. I just can't risk them seeing my shiny rifle and killing me for it.

Now, I won't go around killing every newbie I see in Cherno. But if I see someone with some good equipment running through a field, [b']I'll be taking his stuff whether he's a threat or not.

I don't agree with people luring survivors by saying they're friendly though. It's basically when you're too lazy to even hunt someone down.

Bolded. That's the difference between survivors and bandits. a 'survivor' would stay out of site rather then hunt the guy. (obviously full time Player killers will pop everyone regardless of skin..)

You really shouldn't group players together like that, I've talked to and played/grouped with plenty of players with the survivor skin that would shoot anybody with better gear without thinking twice.

  5. .:The Bandit Survey:.

.: So why have you chosen to walk the path of “darkness"(was it for the beans =p?)

    I stopped trusting other players.

.: Lets talk about tactics, what are yours?

    Ambushing.

.: Do you prefer to hunt alone or in a pack?

    Both are fine.

    .: Your preferred hunting ground(s)?

    Cities.

.: What are your weapons of choice?

    AKM or Winchester.

.: Your greatest strength as a Bandit?

    Navigating.

.: Now how about a weakness of yours, come on everyone has one?

Keeping cool in a fire fight, I panic if I don't get the first shot.

.:Lastly, how about telling us your greatest moment(s) as a Bandit of Chernarus?

Killing a group of people camping the barracks in Stary Sobor, who were camping loot spawns.
