  1. The problem is that without bandit skins or a similar system there's basically no consequence for player killing. In a good game there should be consequences for your actions though, otherwise it quickly becomes a shallow experience.

    1.5.7 update

I love the Zombie population in 1.5.7. FAR more fun than 1.5.6 for me.
  3. I personally know 4 guys who bought Arma2/CO solely to play this mod. Hell, I actually bought it on Steam because I couldn't find my OA key anymore. Of course I finally found the manual (and the key) 5 minutes after completing the purchase on Steam... I don't consider it money wasted though, since I've had tons of fun with this amazing mod the last couple of days. I've already spent more hours with DayZ than with several 'blockbuster' releases I bought at full retail price. Honestly, the last time a mod fascinated me that much was when I downloaded the Counterstrike beta more than a decade ago. I just hope that Rocket will continue with this amazing project, improve it and tweak it as necessary without breaking the original atmosphere.

    Map is too big?

Please, no. One of the things I love about this mod/game is the size of the playable area. I like the fact that sometimes I have to hike for half an hour to meet up with friends or that a trip to a destination sometimes can take half an evening. I like it that I sometimes can play for a long time without seeing another player in the wilds. I'd gladly see the zombie population doubled, though.

    Multiple Characters

I do not like this idea. I like playing groups but have no problems going off alone. Yeah, and sometimes I die in the process when I take too many risks. So what? That's the game. I really have a hard time understanding the "oh noes, I don't dare moving out of the woods without my pimped-out 8-man group on TS"-mindset in a survival game like DayZ.
  6. Name tags are for me one of the biggest problems in the game. It's just no fun when everyone has some magic radar device that can spot targets through trees, walls, and buildings. They're the no.1 reason I don't play on regular servers anymore.

    A case for "classic" Zeds

I have to say I really like the concept of the zombies in DayZ. To make them perfect I'd just like to have their 'teleporting/zig-zagging' movement improved, maybe a tiny bit slower, and double their numbers, especially in larger cities. I also would like to see them spawn MUCH faster in larger cities. A firefight in a large-ish settlement should quickly turn into a fight for your life.
  8. I'm not a big fan of the 3rd person view because it makes it far too easy to look around corners and above walls etc. And while it certainly helps to alleviate some of Arma's clumsy movement/control scheme it can be abused far too much for my tastes. As long as there are enough vet servers without this feature it doesn't bother me though.

To get people value their lives more

I don't like this idea. Losing (usually) all your equipment and stats or having to run for miles to get where you (or your friends) were is already punishment enough. And don't get me started on the tards camping spawn locations along the coast...

    Should we scrap bandit models?

No. This would IMO kill any kind of non-preformed coop play and would lead to a giant deathmatch poop. Now, the humanity system certainly needs improvement, but giving grievers (and yes, I agree that not every bandit is a griefer) basically free reign would be very detrimental to the game.
