Try running it without CBA altogether, I use to be kicked off servers completely because of CBA. Take it off the perimeter, and just just DayZ and the expansion.

I never said they were, but even if they dont get any profit, they should still have they servers up, its there to play, and half of us cant play it! I would happily donate to them to get better servers, its a brilliant game/mod, its just a massive dissapointment and alot of us cant play. :dodgy: Oh dear god. This is one of the problems when something as epic as this mod gets the publicity it has got. I don't think any of the new players actually understand the complexity of Arma, and have this thought they have an absolute god-given right to play this, because they spent x amount on it. Sorry bud, I spent £50 on all 3 extensions of Arma 2. But then this was well before the current trend. People just have to be patient, these people are not paid to make/run this game. They're doing this of their own backs for free. Show some appreciation and respect, please!

Well complaining, and going 'OMGZ ME TOO' clearly isn't going to solve the issue. The problem appears to be with the main server, and I am sure it'll be on soon. Stop panicking, the game isn't going anywhere soon.

+1 here, was redirected here by a moderator. I think the general main points have been covered already. I think the main purpose would be to add one more thing to worry about, seeing as though someone can literally hide in a tower, stock up and leave it lying around to free up space could stay in that tower for as long as they'd like and not have to worry about much.

I was just thinking, there's already a mod for gun jamming (can't remember which one). Seeing as this is a post-apocalyptic game, and very much like in fallout, maintenance will add one more list of things to check upon every so often. But I think if we included gun maintenance to the game, and the consequence for the lack of will lead to jamming, just imagine running through Cherno with a jammed rifle? Just a thought =] ~ Ross.

I don't think he means banning them, just warning other players to avoid them. Which is handy, because nothing more annoying than not knowing who is friend or foe if they don't reply. If they don't reply after i've asked after 3 times, I'll back off and if they pose a threat, I will engage them...

The name's Ross (ingame name is also Ross) play on EU5/UK3. Started playing Thursday night after browsing YouTube for influences on a campaign for Arma 2. I saw a video called "DayZ my first impression" and holy shit, this game ticked all the boxes I like in horror. This mod has somehow done what many survival horror games failed to do, make it all about survival. The horror is pretty much the anticipation, and the paranoia someone's going to back stab you. I found wandering through Elektro at night scariest because you couldn't see other players, but you can hear zombies...

That's going to be difficult. It's all about survival, and if you're in-need of something, and someone won't trade with you. What are you going to have to do? I had a broken leg, so was crawling all around the middle of no where (thankfully with my trusty 1866 winny and tons of ammo). I came across someone who claimed to have 3 morphine doses, I was willing to trade my rifle and ammo for one morphine and 2 bandages. He refused, I had no choice but to kill him. I died 15 minutes later after entering Elektro and was chased by tons of zombies...so i did feel guilty. But the moral of the story: there are no morals in the apocalypse.
