Hmmm found more than 20 crash sites, on one of them 2 as50 at the same time. Got every in game sniper rifle at least 2 times in my tents. They are not rare they are common. In real life it would be easier to find a Ferrari than a anti material sniper rifle. In dayz a Fucking bicycle is much harder to find

I got no problem getting killed, dmr is fine, but a rifle doing 130k damage at a 1km range? Weapons like this are super special military shit, please explain why they should be in this game.

I don't know what game you are playing but there are more than 3 towns and most of them are empty. Snipers don't belong into dayz. There should be some of them, special weapons everybody wants and is willing to kill for. But right now everybody can be a sniper and everywhere you can be killed by someone you can't see or avoid. I don't like this. Sniper rifles should be scarce.

Found more then 15 in 3 weeks. Only thing I never found are nvgs. Most of the time I am alone and can't even carry all the weapons to our camp. Best place to find crashes is around polana I think. Not many players there.

yep i can confirm this, i died yesterday and found a M1014 shotun in cherno. first i thought i got some kind of lag but I killed 5 zeds with two shots each before i threw the shotgun away. if it does less than 4k damage point black with slug ammo its useless.

i can't recomment going to cherno or electro, follow a street to the north and check out houses on the way. you will easily find a hatchet which is a very good weapon against zombies. it is silent and kills with one hit. next thing you need is some food and some drink and then you are ready to explore the map. better weapons are on the way

I would never wear a t-shirt with text on it. Option two is simple and looks cool, if somebody don't even like the DayZ logo he wouldn't buy any DayZ t-shirt -
if you put terrain detail to low you for sure see nearly no gras (only in your direct sourrounding) if you are looking at an area far away it looks crappy. Just try it: turn settings to low, go to single player --> Scenarios --> E08: Benchmark This will Benchmark your fps in different scenes. On hills far away the only thing you see are running soldiers and big things like trees and houses. Looks like hiding in gras only blocks your own view.

Thought the same, i read somewhere that the terrain detail is set by the server so nobody got an advantage (like view distance which is always set to 1600) but this is obviously not true. I need to try the visibility today at different distances with different detail levels with a mate.

The Guide works but there are some errors which need to be corrected Step 9: I think you mean "shouldn't" put quotation marks in Step 10: You need to EXTRACT them there, i first just copied the rar files, thinking the game maybe extract them by itself Step 18: This is just messed up you need to put in: "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=DayZ -nosplash" without the ";ca" but thanks for the guide, works pretty well -
i think you mean M1014 Slugs http://dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=M1014 You can find clips with 8 shots at military buildings like bases or firestations. but you can also combine four of the normal 2 shot shotgun ammunition to one 8 shot clip in your inventory

i am trying this right now, at least i'll get rid of the six updater this way
