Yes they are and it's only making the KOS problem worse. If you want a donation free server and enjoy or want to try epoch come on by. Server pop aint great as its still a new server, but you can play donater free. -
Could just join my server. The pop is low currently but there are plenty of guys ready and willing to group and build bases and what not together.

Any server that accepts donations for guns, is going to be a bad time for players that do not donate. Admins should give toolbelt items if they really want to monetize their server. -
Or just you know, dont put your damn admin tools in you rmission.pbo....

I tried many versions and finally settled on Epoch for my server. The base building while physics defying, is great, being able to purchase safes and sell your found cars for locked cars only you have a key for make the game far better.

Hey All! Finally quite happy enough with my server to advertise. Currently there are several smallish groups that play throughout the day and I hope to see this group in the coming days and weeks. Los Lobos is a Chernarus DayZ Epoch server with the following mods enabled: SARGE AI (land only) Tow and Lift Self Bloodbag Armed Starter Loadout Full Moon Nights Building and Tower lights Trader Safe Zone Custom Traders (Hero and Bandit traders more unique) Server IP is 198.27.80.126:2362 Server is UTC - 7 with 6 hour restarts. Our admin team is constantly on the watch and handles player issues swiftly and without bias. You will find no abusive admins just friendly guys wanting to see everyone having a great time.

Hey Guys! Going to be launching a 50 slot soon. I want to create a difficult not too crazily modded experience. Here are my thoughts so far..... Map - Chernarus Weapon loot spawns *Note General Military is Fire Stations, ATC, Tents, Hangars, Deer Stands Handguns - Residential or General MilitaryShotguns - Residential or General Military / winchester available on farmsRifles - General Military Assault Rifles - Barracks and Heli (standard no scope variants available in some General Military, on low spawn)Light Machine Guns - Barracks and HeliSniper Rifles -Barracks and Heli (lower chance at Barracks) Several additional High End items will be added to Heli crashes on extremely low spawn chance. These items are not decided on. Suggestions welcome! Vehicles *No boats 200-300 Spawns. Spawn points will be custom and try to place cars near possible part locations.No cars spawning in the middle of nowhere or heli's inside treesOut of bounds vehicles and tents removed every restart Possible non-DayZ vehicles, thoughts on these in single spawn quantities? Really? Because chance does not affect real life outcomes? I guess all tools never break. Silly me, my wrench didn't break when I was turning that bolt. Not sure how it ended up in pieces but it sure according to you my skill is the fault. I suppose I should go out and shake my Philips head screw drive at my firebird and it will suddenly restore itself. Point is a class system is a restricted choice that you are locked into. Item combinations that can be picked up and down at any moment and that you can augment through additional items located in the game are dynamic and allow for freedom of choice. -

You're right about that Bandit part. However the real bandit rather than kill the mechanic would wait until the mechanic does the work and then betray him. This is a perfectly valid play-style choice. The point being though is that in order for a single player to do any labor intensive task like fix a car, much more time is required. Wasting all that time shoving your bandit gear in the car, to pull the mechanic stuff out, puts the bandit at risk. You could have things like "lvl 1" toolbox having a moderate chance to fail or break the part. Dedicated mechanics could upgrade their toolbox for less chance to fail and faster repair speeds. If the upgrades to the primary kit item are extremely intensive to accomplish but provided great benefit I could see this working. As a balance however, killing that expert mechanic and taking his tools shouldnt make the bandit suddenly an expert. He should be back at basic toolbox signifing his lack of knowledge on the tools and processes -

Yea but you sure can shove a light machine gun in your Czech Backpack yea? :D :D That's what I am getting at. Lone wolf play should be viable, however you should not ever be nearly as good as a dedicated player. Let's go with medic. Someone who has in this example his inventory dedicated to "A medkit, antibiotics, bandages, morphine, painkillers, cauterizes, forceps etc should be able to treat injuries far more effectively. For the medic role to work you can't have players just popping a morphine and their broken leg disappearing. Sure a lone wolf should be able to get them self back up, but they should take longer to fully heal from the injury than if they were treated by someone who has all the items needed to be a true medic. I'd go so far as to say that players lone wolfing or not working with a dedicated medic player should have a chance to fail at treating their wounds, or perhaps a zombie ripped you a apart and the lone wolf used a bandage, sure the bleeding stopped, but there is a chance of ripping the wound back open. This restricts inventory in such a way that you have to choose what you want to bring with you to preform a function in a group to it's fullest. In this manner not everyone can a mechanic, medic, sniper, driver, cook. The sandbox still provides the tools and choice for the player, but the player has to really choose carefully how they want to play. -
