    cigarettes?

    Cigarettes Toolbelt Item Requires Matches to light them up Maybe as an added feature, they make you cough a lot at first; but as you get more used to them they make you cough less and less. Also, anyone within about 10 feet of you who doesn't smoke will cough, so if you're raiding a city with someone, you won't wanna smoke near them lest they attract zeds. After a while though, your character will get addicted to them and eventually start to get the shakes, similar to the pain status, except that you need a cigarette to get rid of it. Oh, and the more or less that you smoke, the more or less that you'll get the shakes. If you go too long without smoking, your food meter will start to drain faster, and the shakes will continue. As for when the shakes start, it'll go by the average time between the last 10 or so cigarettes you smoked, so getting your character to quit could take a while of weening. Another thing they could do could is make it so that you can't just find cigarettes and matches to be good forever. Maybe matches and cigarettes are limited, you find a random number of either, and your toolbelt will let you hold up to a certain number of them. Maybe as many as 20 cigs and up to 50 matches?

    Petition to spawn with a weapon!

    Starting with no weapon is vital to the moot of the game. It sends the message that you should try and avoid zombies whenever possible. When spawning with a weapon, it gives the feeling of "Okay, time to find something to shoot", where when you spawn empty-handed, it gives a feeling of "time to salvage for supplies so I can survive this". By spawning without a weapon, you're put in a situation where you HAVE to learn how to evade zombies, and you get used to it as a default notion. When you finally do find a weapon, it's just ingrained into your playstyle to avoid zombies, so you're more likely to only use the weapon when it's really needed, rather than taking a weapon for granted and just shooting anything you can.

    No, you don't have a point. The game is FREE, and it's in Alpha. Just be patient, or go play something else until the game is finalized.

    A way to stop the murders

    1) No' date=' you couldn't. Just because [i']some have terrible "poker faces" about their mental condition doesn't mean everyone does. There are plenty of people with mental illnesses who act completely normal, and you wouldn't know they were ill unless someone specifically told you about it. 2) Who's to say that the PvPers are "psychos" anyway? You can't force a mental illness on someone just because you don't care for the way they play.

    I find matches all the time. ;P Still, with loot already being uncommon on zombies, I'm not against the idea of adding the rare chance on top of that of the loot being matches.

    Idea is completely imbalanced. Bandits get a 50% increase to their damage, and Survivors only get a 17% boost to their health? Nuts. To. That. Time to go on a killing spree if that happens.

    Zombies need a total overhaul.

    The zombie AI works as-is because it was the best possible fix, not because it's considered ideal. One of the primary things on the dev's to-do list is working on the AI to get it working better.
  11. Blood regeneration is something the devs plan to implement in the future. Just a matter of when.

    Probably don't take damage if you're getting bored with gray. ;P As for the music... just listen to it in the background if you like it so much. Everyone has their own drastically different tastes in music, there's no feasible way they can get everyone's preferred music into the game.

    Alright, I'll bite. Which "great suggestion" got a flat-out "no"? Not that I'll debate it here, since I'm not gonna derail the topic. Just curious, is all.

    Not necissarily. The bandits would group-up into bands so that there's less risk of them being attacked; and even if they get killed every now and then, so what? In that one life he was able to kill 10 or more people. He'd gladly pay for another life knowing that he'll probably cost other people 10x or more money total on lives that they barely get to use when him and his buddies are cruising up and down the beaches killing anything that has ping.Eventually it'd just be them left over, because it isn't worth paying for a life when you know that it'll be a miracle just to survive long enough to get in-land away from the gankers, let alone how long you'll survive if you meet other players.

    Tent mechanics

    I honestly never cared for the whole "only the person who set-up the tent can dismantle it" thing, anyway. With all the ways this game strives realism and tries to avoid magical effects as much as possible, I want to know what mystical force is stopping me from dismantling and making-off with some guy's tent? The risk of it being stolen should just be part of setting it up. You can set it up, you can store your stuff in it, just know that it might not be there when you get back if there's no guard.

    Weight Tiers

    Not a terrible idea on playstyle/eating habits causing your character to gain/lose weight. Still, the idea is based on a flawed premise anyway. Just because the body is able to survive on stored fats doesn't mean that it's easy to do. You don't just "not get hungry" just because you have a few extra pounds, and going too long without eating will still cause hunger withdrawal side-effects. So whether your character can gain or lose weight shouldn't have bearing on the hunger meter.

    Option to Respawn at owned Tent

    I vote no. 1) As already mentioned, people would just place their tents at key locations. 2) Once you die, the tent is no longer "owned" by your next character. So you'd still spawn at the beach. ;P

    A few ideas and a few complaints.

    #1: I believe the devs are already planning to implement this. #2: It's a miracle that the zombie AI works as well as it does given that the AI programming didn't exist in the core game (Arma 2). That said, the devs are also working on this (a lot). #3: Different fictions, different rules. Vampires aren't supposed to glitter in the sunlight, either, yet somehow we're still stuck with the Twilight Series. That said, this game follows the Left 4 Dead school of thought that a player shouldn't be able to hole-up in a place where zombies can't reach. So while stairs and ladders will slow a zombie down, it won't stop them. As for doors, zombies walk through them because eventually they're going to be able to just smash through the doors; refer back to #2. ;) #4: A common gripe, but remember that you can retrieve bolts from corpses (and even from missed shots if you can find where it went). So really you don't need more bolts than you would carry stacks of ammo, anyway. Also, bolts really aren't that uncommon, so even if you lose a bolt or two, you won't go long before you can replace it. #5: Probably another refer to #2 thing, but I don't really know the story on why they can attack through walls.

    Fists/Meele Combat

    I say "no". Even FPS games that do melee combat well don't do it that well. We definitely don't need something that would need "core gameplay focus" levels of attention for something that most players would actively try to avoid anyway.
