Agreed. PvP is part of the game, deal with it. Heck, I saved a guy from a zombie the other day. He picked-up an axe and instantly cut me down to loot my gear. Lesson learned, moving on. -

I don't like the idea of a 100% safe place to store your goods. Maybe you can lock it, but add a lockpick item that can be found to pick the lock, and give players the option to just blow the lock off with their gun. Heck, if I have matches on me, what's to stop me from just lighting-up your log cabin? In short, no items should ever be 100% safe from other players stealing them. Heck, I don't even like that your tent is 100% safe from other people dismantling it and running-off with it. Yes, the crowbars, too; forgot that those were in the game (though they should become toolbelt items or something if they can used to pry something open).

I give it 8/10, if only because it looks serious enough that people will actually respond to flame the living hell out of the OP's "idea". Heck, they won't even read far enough to see the first few posts pointing-out the troll. ;P -
Rocket has said that he will "easily" fix people who log-out to avoid getting killed, but there's no word on when it will be implemented, or what said fix will be.

Oh my god, people. Search the forums! This topic was already done yesterday! As for the idea, it doesn't work at all for the goals of this mod. Am I supposed to believe that everyone is psychically linked that we just magically know when someone has killed X number of people? And on that note, who the hell is keeping score here? Is God watching the numbers and sending us as his avengers to smite those who kill? Realism, people. Realism. Yes, go ahead and list-off all the things that aren't realistic about the game; doesn't change the fact that the goal of the game is to be realistic as feasibly possible, and any idea that requires us to suspend our disbelieve further than the game already does isn't worth the time it takes to post it. This is why the bandit skin was removed, because it was asinine that you can just look at a person and magically know they've been killing people.

As a person who always makes sure to always have Morphine on him, I can't really sympathize too much with someone who's scenario is "Fully armed, but now my leg is broke and I can't mend it". Spend a little less time raiding military facilities, and a little more time stopping by a hospital. -
I would like to see the confirmation removed as well. Less because it'd be any kind of nerf to PvP, and more because of the advantage it gives when you can see your kills go up. The other day a friend and I were crawling along a building when I go down unconscious and he gets killed. If there was no kill confirmation of his Murders ticking up, he probably would never have noticed that I survived, and I might have been able to fight back, or at least try and flee the area that he was camping. Instead, he knew that he needed to put a few more bullets in me despite that I was immobile because he can specifically track how many kills he's gotten.

Possible fix to vehicle/tent hoarding

I don't think vehicles get saved to a player, they just exist. Tents, on the other hand, already do behave this way. When a player dies, it disappears after two days. -

You've clearly never ridden a bike in your entire life. Doesn't take much of a bump to throw-off your steering and/or balance, and the faster you're going, the harder it is to correct without spilling over. So yeah, hitting something like a rabbit at 70mph on a bicycle could easily be fatal. -
Starting with no wep is Awesome. Just need to be balanced...

It's worth noting that many server admins have tried nerfing the PvP on their servers. Rocket promptly banned the servers. I doubt he's going to make it an option.

Granted I don't pay that close of attention to the clock while I'm playing, but I'm pretty sure that if you're drinking water every 30 minutes, you're drinking too often. Keep in mind that the meter can get unmistakeably red before you even get close to the point where you're penalized in any way. So if you look at your thirst meter and it's just "kinda red, but maybe more brown", save that Pepsi for a little while longer. Edit: Though by all means, maybe it does get "red to the point of blinking" in 30 minutes. Like I said, I don't watch the clock that often when playing. -

Not really against the idea of playing offline singleplayer, but only if there's a way to separate your single player status from your online status. You shouldn't be allowed to farm-up gear without threat of being killed by a player, then be able to take that gear online to kill other players.
