  1. I play survivor most of the time and I think coming across other survivor are more dangerous, because they can be your friend at one moment and next shot you in the back. At least most bandits I come across kill me or tell me to get out of area. That is the black and white of it. I can across a group of survivors the other day at the NW airfield. I was with a bandit buddy of mine. I was navigating him threw the woods around the west side of airfield. As I came out a patch of woods and across another patch of woods, saw 5 survivors heading into airfield. I pulled back into woods and waited for a few minutes. Told my bandit friend to linger behind some while I tail these guys and see where they went. A few minutes later I heard guns shots SW part of airfield. As I got there saw zombies running in, they took them out. Then all of a sudden a fire fight broke out, the survivors turned on each other. At this time my bandit buddy had a few in his CZ sites and he took them out. The other one was gunned down by the lone survivor who ran away, and there was one survivor on ground hiding. I approached the guy from his flank by wall, had my bandit friend distract him with gun fire. I then came around wall with MP5 and put a full clip in guy. He goes down and then gets up. He shots me once with winchester and I got down for count, but at same time I put some more MP5 rounds in him and kills him. I get up with my new bandit skin and 200 blood, but lucky all the survivors had lots of cooked meat. I ate all the meat to get blood back. So like someone said earlier, it is all situational. This is what I love about this mod, I can be running in woods and next minute watching a group of guys betray each other. I find survivors more dangerous, just because you don't know what to expect from them. They can have those hidden agendas, even if a player is another survivor. A bandit will kill you from somewhere where you can't see him, or tell you to get out of area and don't look back. A survivor will be like, "Hi I want to team up because I am scared and lonely." And next minute you will be eating some beans and having a few laughs, then get a bullet in back of head because he wants your coyote pack. I rather die in battle then by someone inside a players circle. So I trust no one or very few. Every encounter has its own choice to go either one way or another, right or wrong. We live or die by those choices.
  2. I think adding missions for dayz would be a cool idea, now that I think about it. As long as it doesn't take away from the gameplay and structure as it is now. I think a party of 4 or more players when they group up, should get a sidemission or sidequest that pops up now-and-then. This idea will get players to force to group up to come together to accomplish a common goal, but at same time a player who doesn't want to group up can still go solo and play like normal Dayz, with his or her own personal goals. So groups of 4 and more that finish a sidequest would get a reward of good lot that the group could share. Then later on if the group splits off those players wont get any more mission that would pop up, only when in a group of 4 or more. Some how Dayz would have to add a join group feature in game. In a way the add mission won't take away from the old Dayz style of play, but would add a new element. Which is what gamers want, the new elements that don't take away from the old. I don't want to personally stop playing because some new feature took away from the game. I want to keep playing more and more because the mod keeps getting better and better.
  3. I love the early morning fog, around like 5am or 6am. I make raids on towns and I don't have to worry about someone at a distance spotting me and sniping me. I don't like when the fog stays all day and it is that heavy fog. I would like to use my binoculars to spot at high distances an area where I think a sniper might be and if I was that sniper I would like to have a good field of view to use that sniper rifle also. It then becomes a game of who spots who first, then either player can make the kill. One other weather thing that bothers me, is the intense rain. I've played arma II a lot and a very few servers added extra rain. The ran is so bad a player can't see a few feet ahead. If it is night, a player won't see at all, then they are forced to stop what they are doing and stay put till ran stops. It's not all servers, but when you get on them after trying for 20 some minutes, you just want to play. Don't get me wrong I like the intense rain, it add realism and makes a player have to camp out for a while. So I like it and don't like it, lol.
