Either wait for servers to update, or delete the beta folder, then reinstall 95417. If youre using six launcher you can tick a box where it won't auto-update to latest version or similar.

I play on the EU servers and rarely seen hackers. Got car jacked once (not sure if hackers or not) and teleported on the coast with a bunch of people.

We all know that if your gun is zeroed at 300, the bullet will fly straight to that point and after that, you get bullet drop. If you zero your weapon at 800, it will shoot straight to that point and again after that, you get bullet drop. But if you shoot a gun, zeroed at 800, at a target which is closer than 800 meters, will it shoot straight to it or fly over? Thanks!

Based on what you read here on the forums, you'd think this is Call of Duty with zombies but no it is not. When you play it the situation of Chernarus is not really as bad as people here let you think.

By the way, if this is the first placement of the tent, put nothing/something worthless inside and save it. The first server restart might make your stuff disappear. But after that there should be no problem afaik.

I've seen the waypoint method used but think it is kind of like "cheating", though it is an in-game feature. On the map, one big square is 1km, and the small ones 100m, correct? I've been thinking of using this to guesstimate range (with the CZ550 atleast, until I find something better again).

CZ550 doesn't have much measuring method, so that's why I was wondering. I'd love the PSO, but it is "kind of" rare. Though it is kind of obvious that zeroing to 800 and shooting at a target less than that is a miss. I'd imagine it flies over?

Sometimes when you pitch a tent, especially in a steep slope, the "hot spot" gets hidden or similar... Try proning, 1st person... I've usually found it in one of the corners when the usual hasn't worked.

If you logged out while having the shock icon, the next time you log in you'll be unconscious for 5 minutes as far as I know. Wait it out and DIE, then respawn.

Well you're not alone. I installed my OS again about a week ago and DayZ was running better than ever. Today I get back after a while, install the beta, go in game, wait a few minutes and bam, slideshow time... tried an other server as well. Is this a beta patch issue?

Sure it is a part of it, and a fun one (because you know that if you die - you have to start all over again from nothing). Most people still die from Zombies/infected/whateveralienstheymaybe and you can avoid players if you want to. Most of the time I don't shoot people (on the coast) on sight, especially not unarmed ones. I saved a girl from zombies yesterday - I thought about giving her the lesson of "don't trust anyone with a weapon" and shooting her in the face but nah just warned him/her about other people. I used to trust people like you, but then I took an axe to the knee.

Why should it even be a specific "spawn point" to begin with? Yes, I'd like to see ability to select your spawning area. Three segments: east coast, south-west, south-east for example.

Find a server you like and use approppriate version(s). You can try downgrading (delete "beta" folder and install older), servers don't update instantly...

I agree it is totally unrealistic liek that you don't have to poop in the woods I suggest that you would have to poop every 12 hours or die from constipation and it would attract zombies in 20 mile radius because beans are farty stuff

Hey guys. I have a question I did not find an answer to earlier. You know those coordinates in side channel when people say something, yes? For example, 1-1-B-1. When I press M and the map shows up, it shows my location on the upper right screen. But for some reason I haven't found a way to use those coordinates, since the map only has numbers...? I have a feeling this is something obvious that I have missed, but still hope for someone to elaborate this for me. OT; Is the vehicle wiki up-to-date?

Are the servers same version(s) as yours is? This caused some issues to me when I started playing and had some trouble finding servers. Try finding one you like and works for you, with the settings you like (3DP, CH, etc.), memorise/write down the name and favorite it on Six Launcher. Next time use 6L to get on that server and remember to close it afterwards.

I haven't played ArmA before DayZ so there's still some new things that come up every now and then :) I'm aware of the map coordinate system, so I was a little stumped when I came across those 1-1-B-1 things etc. Is it something random, something to be ignored? Can it give away one's location? If yes, how can I figure out someone's location using that? Edit; Fixed some of my Engrish
