I love this game and it's going downhill fast for me. I enjoy Arma II and all it has to offer. DayZ is one of those games where it sounds fun but then I hop on and end up logging after an hour due to lack of things to do. I am looking for a couple of people to just join a server and go. PvP, loot, etc. I have no qualms with PvP, it IS what makes DayZ a very anxious game. SO, pm me here and we'll exchange some skype infos. Or I have ts3 and vent. I'm not super serious and I love getting into skirmishes with other people. I'd prefer if you were older. I've had bad experiences with kiddies :/ The best times I've had in DayZ was little 3v4 skirmishes. I prefer 3rd person off but Ill play anything as the 3rd person off feature is few and far between. I used to play with a few people for a while and they have sense... died? IDK where they went but if your'e a decent person and like to play in small squads give me a pm and well do stuff with things. If we get along and enjoy playing Standalone is just around the corner and it'd be great to have some people to thrown down with in Chernarus Plus. Easy ~Karben

Using my rez powers to get this forum going. Im gonna bet 95% of people who commented on this forum no longer play the game. Go ahead and LOOK AT THE FUCKING SERVER LIST maybe 50 servers total even run 3rd p off and out of those 75 % are down or have 0 player on them and in that 25% there are a max of 4 people on the servers. IMO, take 3rd p away. its totally batshit unreal.

I hate the way you force me to play on low pop 1st person only servers. A VAST majority of players cant take the full fledged immersion of 3rd p off. Seriously, nut up, stop using your cloud surfing koopa to look over walls. Every 3rd person off server i encounter is only up for a week or two. And the bmrf one is hogwash. Its a modded cherno w a firestation in berez... dont even get me started on skalisty. Way to make dayz even more ezmode bmrf. Please dear god i hope the hc community comes back for standalone. So grossed out at how many sissies play this game. Let the flames begin!! And before you post. Go play on a 3rd p off server. Get into a fire fight in the old fields and tell me how much fun it was having to risk your life to go crouch from prone in the tall grass to find your opponent. Instead of using your koopa to do all the hardwork for you. Silly nannies. My best fights and most intense moments were all on 3rd p off servers.

OP is upset because everyone only plays 3rd p : on servers. Its just annoying : / I know Rocket would never remove this feature as people love to koopa their cameras around corners (or over the hospital roof wall...). It really takes away from the game. Theres the 3rd p : off BMRF server that has a solid amount of people on it but its cursed with "custom" architecture everywhere. From Skalisty having a hospital to an apartment bulding in Kamyshovo. It's horrible. All the other "Mercenary" servers have 3-4/40 people on them. If you know of a server that uses "stock" Charnarus architecture and consistently has 10+ players online I'm game. But otherwise I'm stuck on a 3rd p : on server playing with a handicap that no one else has to use. I love the head bob and the breathing. Its very life like. I just DON'T understand how at least 90% of the pop refuses to play on merc servers. I'll put my beans on half have tried it once, for 5 minutes and left because they couldn't koopa the camera over the shelves in the grocery store. It's so easy to get lost in this game while playing first person. It's close to impossible to spot someone in a ghillie in first person. This scrub would NEVER get a pvp kill without 3rd person. Its pathetic. THIS is why 3rd p on blows.

Go to the eastern red apartment in novy. Zombies will shuffle and die outside laying down all in a row. Its happened three times now. >>. I think they get stuck and die. Srsly go there. Listen. Bring someone with you. And make sure to out run them ;)

My freshly spawned friend an I met up at the Solnichy factory and turned out bodies northbound to the city of Berezhino. Hoping to bask in the glory of the supermarket, hospital and the infamous army tents. As we're entering from the south I decide against b-lining to the pub and market like I usually do and we decide to play it safe. As we belly our ways into Berez, gunfire. We hear, at least, 2 m4s and an ak-74/akm (not sure which). We make it to the cross-roads in front of the market and I can't see anything. So to get a better view I belly my way across the street and through one of the "garages." Gunfire all around me. Keeping my head down and not moving I listen until the ak-74/akm stop firing. Most fire has ceased except the ones drilling holes in zeds from their epic win. I make my way from the backyards to the front, across the street from the market. Straight out of the garage and to the left is a chiny UAZ. My heart-rate triples. I tell my friend I have contact. I see a man in a bandit skin running towards the car while his friend finished looting their newest kill. Bandit 1 gets in the car. One shot with my AK-74 through the windshield and he's dead. From less than 10m away. I see his friend coming up on the passenger side of the car. One shot, dead. I had only 14 bullets left in my 74 and no extra mags. My friend and I got out of there with a white UAZ, x2 M4A3 CCOs, M9 SD, x2 DMR with 20 magazines, among other misc survival items. Later on in chat I found out that the three of them were friends and the one had turned on the two helping him. They were bitching and moaning in chat about it for the next hour. I don't think my heart has ever gone that fast before. Love it.

This one time at night, of course, I was in Novy Stobor. Looting. I cam across the eastern red apartment building. The one that has stairs that go nowhere. I heard some extremely weird noises. Someone crouching, the rustle of grass, etc. I ran outside and around the building once. On my second time around I found three zombies, dead in a row. They werent there before. Let's just say I ran away with dignity.

So, i was playing last night on a new server (to me) my commander crashed and it didnt save my recents or my favorites. How do I go about finding said private hive?

I love this server. Always near capacity. Lots of vehicles. I can go on forever baby. Problem: Loot and zombies do not spawn. A LOT. It's been happening every time I log into the server. I read somewhere this can happen from having too many servers running off of one machine. DiG has, what, 4 servers? I don't know if they're all running off one rig. If they are, and someone here knows an admin, please tell them to spread the servers out. If not, do you guys know what would cause this? People say relog... lol. Why would I relog over and over again when I can just hop onto another server that's not broken? I want to play on this server. I like at capacity servers and this one is stable, resets every 3 hours, high pop, etc. It goes like this. First abundant loot town I hit spawns loot, zombies, etc. The second NEVER does. It's like I get one town to loot and the rest are empty. I'm not the only person on the server experiencing this. I've seen people complain in side chat about it. Nothing is ever said. Admins don't respond, people just flame and call me or them idiots. Is it possible this is on my end? I've heard loot and zombies go hand in hand. I've read that our (the player's) computers are the ones that spawn zombies. If my rig isn't spawning zombies then no loot, right? If there is a fix, please, let me know. Otherwise, lets get this message to the server host that their server isn't spawning loot and zombies.

So I havent played much Dayz in the past week due to Mists of Pokemon. I want to play tonight so I jump on a random server. Somethings odd but I don't find out until im on the beach. My game will freeze up, like its loading and then unfreeze and i can move around. Low ping. High FPS. Then BAM freezes for about 10 seconds then im ok for another 10 and then it freezes again for 10 seconds and then the game plays normally for another 10. I've tried abuot 7 different servers all with the same problem so it is on my end. My internet is clear, no downloads or anything. What could be causing this?!?!?! its horrifying obnoxious.

The game has gone somewhat stagnant for me. Once I get a *decent* primary and matches/axe/knife i get bored. I want to do *meaningful* stuff. Let me know about any event driven servers or any clan server that have some events.

Hello! Before you flame, this is a "new' one (I hope). I love private hives. It's like having multiple toons... I hate private hives due to side chat at the same time. Is there some ini file where I can edit out all elements of the DayZ UI? I'd take no sidechat+no icons over side chat AND icons. Its very obnoxious to read what every kiddie is doing. Or how everyone LOVES to ask "Anyone in Cherno?" or "Sniper on elektro hospital, be careful." Really? REALLY? You're gonna give someone up like that? And if someone agrees theyre in cherno, they're just as bigga idiot as you! Please, can I edit some file somewhere to do away with the chatbox at the very least? 1. FPS. My Rig: HD6950 2gb 4gb Ram Vista 32 bit 700 Watt PSU AMD Phenom II x4 965 @ 3.2 GhZ My FPS hovers between 25-30. Most all settings are on NORMAL. Everything else is off I.E. ATOC, PXAA, ETC. View distance I keep between 50 and 100%. I feel like my computer with these settings should be capping @ 60. In towns it dips as low as 15 unplayable IMO. While in Cherno today, I alt+tab out to check CCC to see my GPU's activity %... its @ 40%. What gives? Theres ~60% of my GPU thats not being used? USE IT FFS! Honestly, no matter what I do. Settings up all the way, settings down all the way my FPS stays right in the same area. <<<This blows my mind. I dont have any problems with any other games. Skyrim I can play close to max everything. (Different engine, I know, but Arma II came out in '09. C'mon Man!) If you need to know anymore relevant info post here. Ill be checking constantly for ANY support. 2. Recently. Actually, just last night, I started getting Arma II locked up. Completely locked to the point I need to alt+ctrl+del and end task. Task manager claims it's not responding. Sometimes I'll get the "Arma II has stopped working." Message but usually it just locks and I need to end it. Kind of weird because I've never had any problems like this while playing dayz since its launch. Please, any halp is appreciated. You will get some beanz ifyeh help meh!!!1!11!!!

Those are my two options? Server lag, and a "I have this problem too?" I know there's someone out there who is maxing this game out. With worse specs than I have who did some tweak in an ini somewhere. Cmon, this isn't dayz. Help someone out.

Can build a MUCH better machine for 600 bucks. Close to top notch desktop if you know where youre buying. Building a rig isnt hard @ all. Cpu, Gpu, 2-3 fans, a case and PSU. Its a blast putting it together too. Only thing that sucks would be having to purchase windows 7. If youre a student or know someone who is you can get win7 for really cheap. good luck

North of Stary, my friends and I were trying to move into a position over the Military Tents for some PVP action. You were in a red sedan, barreling down the road. My M4A1 CCO SD opened fire on your windshield. You proceeded to B-line for me. With my buddies in the woods, you stood an extremely slim chance. You drove in circles for 5 minutes while I was prone and scared. (No 3rd P server) I proceeded to crawl back to the treeline. Then it happened. A Ural and a Truck came right at us. All hell broke loose. We ended up killing all but one. I ran out to the Truck to see what was in it. Every gun/ammo/item you could imagine. I checked to see if the Ural was working. Drove about 15 meters and got out. You shot me in the face. Proceeded to kill my friend. And then there were 2. After 30 minutes my friend stole your truck, and you didn't even open fire. He crashed said truck, no more than 15 minutes later into a hacker who had some car that isn't even in the game. I don't remember the server. Please, find me. Yours, ~Karben

Will, I killed you @ the Cherno apartments a few days back. Your attracted a horde, zipped into an apartment. Shot some rounds, then zipped out and into another apartment. While I was on the hill, waiting for you to emerge with my enfield. You emerged again. I put one in your chest and you alt+f4'd you scrub. You died too, the flies were buzzing when I went to inspect. Dont do that again. Its very... baby-like.

Whats up dayz community? I am a lone body/small group player. I work my nails off trying to find a working 0/50 server every time I wish to play dayz. And every time, after 30-45 minutes of me having the time of my life in my own little world, some guy joins in. It upsets me because I worked hard alt+ctrl+del and alt+f4ing out of countless unworking servers to find my diamond in the rough and these scrubs just get to join in after all my work of finding an extremely low pop server. Theyre sharks. Granted it isnt my server, I'm looking for a passworded server preferrably a clan server that will let me play on/possibly join up in their ranks. Let me know if this interests you @ all. Id be willing to throw down on server costs as well. If you dont like me, change the password and were good. I'd never fire on or at one of your guys and I hope the respect is mutual. Thanks!

I took a month off to visit my family and now I'm back fighting the good fight. I'm somewhat of a carebear. I always give the other survivors a chance before opening fire. If they're friendly, we usually run together for a while before parting ways. I'm extremely paranoid when I'm around zombies. Which, IMO, is a good thing. My trigger finger's weight varies. I'm very cautious and have been looking for a team recently. I see myself as more of a scout/point kind of guy. But I feel I am adaptable enough to fit any role whatsoever. So, I hate six launcher. I use it to start the game, but 9/10 times i just end up using the [Multiplayer] UI that comes with Arma... It sucks, but not near as much as SL... Anyways, If i "upgrade" to Commander or PlayWithSix will my current dayz character get deleted? I downloaded PWS and it looked like it wanted me to reinstall dayz. I really don't wanna lose my toon, I have too much shit and time invested in him to just drop him like its hawwwt. Thanks for the replies in advance!!

Also, if I install Lingor, will my Chernarus character port over? DO I have to restart each time if I go back and forth? Or, does my chern toon save to chern and ling toon save to ling?

So, I'm a lone-body. I very much enjoy playing DayZ by myself. So I'm more inclined to join... extremely low pop servers. Anywhere from 0-3 people is good by me. These servers, I've noticed have the most problems. Either endless loading screen, or the weirdest IMO: Horrible FPS. The last one is the one that irks me the most. On a decent server Ill get ~40 fps. EVERYWHERE. Sometimes when i spawn in, i sit ~10 FPS. I ninja-logged from a server I was getting ~40 FPS in and when i logged back in less than 30 seconds later I was sitting @ 10 in the same spot. What gives? Why does SixLauncher display servers that dont work? Why dont these scrubs with servers take them down if they arent allowing people to connect? Is there a possible work around for any of my issues? Or maybe someone knows of a good low-pop server i can tool around on? THanks... ~Karben
