Anyone else having trouble FINDING experimental servers at the moment? If theyre in fact up and for whatever reason they arent showing for me, does anyone have their IP addresses?

Lost all my gear, as50, l85, m9 sd, nvg, range, gps, etc... My brother and I share internet, my ping was high. Got booted off game relogged and im in debug forest. Naked except for ghillie suit. This is why people hack. Because of bugs like this. If dayz was a near bug free game I guarantee there wouldn't be near as many hackers. Its so obnoxious to get geared and die to something as stupid as lag. I know, lag bosses hit the hardes. Instead of trying to mega ban all the hackers why don't you try to fix the problems that drive people into the hacking bizz? There's no excuse as to why people should be losing gear to little bugs like these. I understand you probably don't have the funds to support having out characters server side, and if they are server side this shouldn't even be an issue. Thank god I still have my ghillie suit. But giminey chrissmas, ficks the bugz. Dayz is a really amazing game and I love the direction its heading. Also, just because there is a standalone coming out in the future doesn't mean you can just give the 20000 people still playing the middle finger and stop working on dayz. Im pleading with you to clean this up a bit. For everyones sake. Well, im done till the standalone. No reason for me to keep working tooth and nail for dayz just to get lag punched in the face by a timeout and lose everything. GG rocket, grats on leaving the people who made this game what it is in the dust while you sit in your big bad executive office eating jolly ranchers and congregating @ the watercooler.

Love the game, getting boring though :X Ive been just about everywhere. I hung out @ the nwaf going back and forth between the barracks, tower, fire station and hangars. I told myself id never shoot @ another player first. I think I need to break this rul just to keep me going. I've started taking pot shots @ zombies everywhere. My aim is solid, with and m4 I can head shot a zed 150+ m away. I just can't think of anything to do anymore. I haven't gotten a car working yet. Seems extremely tedious and futile. Grouping w people sucks I just don't trust anyone. I really want to just stalk someone and watch them go about their business like im not there. I play on a low pop server which could be the reason im demoralized. Please, share your activities in day z with me!

Granted it was single player, in the fallout series, you could rest while enemies were nearby. How about you can't log out when enemies are neaby. If you d/c for WHATEVER reason, 50% of your blood is taken away. So have a disclaimer when you log in stating this. That way, you can't log when withing 50m (or so of hostiles/players) and if you do alt f4 there is a sort of consequence. And definitely, put a server switch timer on the game. If you leave a server, you can't join another for 15 min or something like that.

Yup happening to me as well. Also, in sixlauncher, after I click verify, this server disappears. This is my goto server as well. Im User. :D

Been playing the same toon for at least 20 hours. My fourth day playing. Absolute love @ first site. I adored fallout 3 (nv was ok, at best). The whole "aloneness" sp? Is amazing. I love getting spooked, I still can't play amnesia tdd alone. And I love that game. There's something about flesh eating, chasing and snarling beings that just haunt me. Excellent work rocket. Fuck these bashers... now, why were here... Don't put gear/lootable items in portapotties, I wasn't even able to get my cursor to recognize the phat lewtz. It gave me the option to close the door and switch weapons. Boooooo! I needz meh phattee lewts brah. Its probably the arma engine, but slow the zeds down. It kills me when I have 20 zeds tailing after me and I run into one in front of me and he goes wizzing by my character like he's on methamphetamine. Or in barns when they go ape shit and kill themselves by falling off the ledges. Its funny, don't get me wrong and also helpful. But zeds shouldn't help me by killing themselves. Don't spawn zeds in buildings, and let's say you do... make them move around so they have a chance of walking out the door. Its obnoxious when I crouch my way up to a house, check windows and just see a zed herp derp diddly derpin inside. If that's how you want it. OK, but I think they should be patting like the ones outside. Maybe create a sort of "bootcamp"? With little excersises you can practice. For the newbies of course. This isn't necessary as anyone who's having trouble should google it. But it'd be nice anyhow. I know when I started playing, wasd was all I knew. I had to youtube a video of some dude explaining the buttons. Escape>controls, yes yes, some of us are physical learners though. Imo, bring back side chat with the option to turn it off. Everyones happy there. If this is implemented, you should be able to stay in side chat whilst having the douchies who speak in side chat's mics turned down. Maybe some team based games? I.e. king of the hill, 2 teams pitted against eachother and the team to hold a zombie infested town the longest wins. All the while their opposition are zombies/survivors that are using the zombies as a means to weaken the team holding the capture point. Idk, maybe ctf? Be pretty neato. If not, no worries, good game anyways :D I never got to play with the bandit skins, but that's a really kickass idea. Nighttime is perfect, don't change that shit. So is starting without a weapon. Maybe implement a first aid kit into the game. Even more rare than blood bags but can be found outside hospitals. This way you can heal some blood back without getting killed by the kid who just healed your wounds. It could even be an extremely small amount, maybe 200? Idk, whatever. I don't think I understand how backpacks work. But whenever I find one, it appears to have no more slots than my starting pack. Even 1 to 2 extra slots would be so helpful. Made very cut and dry, swap packs, extra slot, old packs on the ground, new ones on back, items xferred, ready to go sir! Ill post back if I could think of some more. Again, thooper thweet job rocket. Thanks for this kickass FREE mod.

ok, if you dont believe me, i dont really care, it happened. Now, every time I play i have to validate the files for OA or i get this error. Everytime i log in when this error pops up, my guns despawn. this directly impacts my gun loot/spawns for whatever reason. It's BS, imo.

So I was fartin around the apartment on the northern side of elektro (cherno?) And I stumbled on a ghillie suit. Hells yeeeehaw. Are these extremely rare? Did you guys know they were even in the game? Srsnote: does the suit give me moar "sneakiness" w zeds? Or is it cosmetic/player character hindering only? Happy looting. karben

Hey guys, feel free to add what you want to this post. I am relatively new, and have begun getting the hang of Day Z. I bought Arma2 6/25/12. After reading all these posts about people being very upset the game is too hard, I figured I would off some insight, from a noob to noobs. This game is AMAZING. If you're having a rough time, stick with it. If you have made 50+ toons and still die after 10 minutes... read on zed heads. -Learn to alt+tab out of the game and use a map. -I use dayzmap.info. -When you first spawn, check bottom right corner for your locale. -Alt+tab to map, and triangulate your location. -Depending on where you start, you have a few options... -Take EVERYTHING very, very slowly. There is a VERY steep learning curve. Granted, when you start it doesn't really matter if you die quickly, I figure you must start learning to evade zeds sooner than later. -When ~50m out from a loot spawn, start crawling. It takes some time, but once you get the hang of the zed noises and their aggro circles you'll be crouch running into loot spawns in no time. -I always try to hit deer stands before I even think about looking for food. A gun is a VERY nice backup plan. -Use your numpad, 1 and 3 look behind you, 4 and 6 look left and right, 7 and 9 are ~45 degrees left and right. -Paranoia is good, always be checking your surroundings. -Once you have a weapon, start hitting low yield buildings for food and sodas. Only pick up Cokes, Pepsi sucks. -YOU spawn zeds. When rolling up on a building, barn or deer stand they spawn because YOU'RE there. I've had zeds spawn 50m in front of me because I was turned around. -Learn which buildings house loot. *Usually* brown, dumpy looking houses have a door in. A lot of house loot spawns aren't enterable. Simply find the front door, there's a sort of foyer outside the door with loot. -When people say "Look in barns, they haz good lewts." They are talking about the "Medium Yield" buildings (on the map I mentioned above) in the middle of nowhere. Yes, they have amazing loots. There are usually zombies inside though. -Press the "F" key to cycle through your flares. Left click to throw, longer you hold, yep, the farther you throw. Use these to flush zeds out of barns, houses, etc. -ALWAYS fire in "Iron Sights" mode. (Right click while weapon is equipped.) -Don't use your flashlight. -Run from other player characters, unless you're both unarmed. -If you hear gunshots, hit the deck (z), they're probably shooting at you. -I'd stay as far away from Cherno and Elektro until you know WTF you're doing. : / -On the map mentioned above, castles are AMAZING loots spawns. They tend to have extremely short names. Usually three letters and in the middle of nowhere. Use extreme caution. I'm on hour ~6. My first toon over 30 minutes easily. The game is so much fun. Only thing that's a little annoying is the lack of objectives. Be creative: family/friend/gf in X town, must get there asap. I have more tips, figured I went over my limit already. I understand there's a few guides out there like mine. Except I'm a noob and the other guides are written by vets. Figure I'd give a morale boost to the starters. I never got to spawn with a gun, so I don't have that point of view. I think the game is perfect as is atm. It's very rewarding when you find your first weapon.

So, I've seen people with this error. I've seen people realize, "It's no big deal." Well, sorry to say, but for me this is game-breaking. My first 2 days of playing after getting this error (happens on EVERY server I log into) I didn't find a single weapon. Ammo would spawn, zombies, etc. I was trying to loot hunter stands. I read about the error and decided maybe this is why I'm NOT finding any weapons. Surely my luck can't be that bad, can it? So i verify integrity, run arma2: AO, exit, run six launcher, launch a server, no error, find a weapon @ the first deer stand I hit. Coincidence? No. Read on... While playing the game, heading for a town to loot, I get the error popped up on my screen: no entry 'bin config.bin/cfgweapons.' My gun disappears from my inventory. I'm scared to even log into the game. I have an AK, and an m1911. Both of which took me over 3 hours to find and ammo up. I was having a blast but had to log out for whatever reason. I don't want to log in, get the error and have my weapons be gone. I'd probably never play again. I don't know what to do. Every time I run the game i have to verify integrity, and hope it works. It makes it a HUGE pain in the butt. Please try to offer me some fixes. I really don't want to have to re-download the game from steam. But if that's what it takes, I'm willing to do it. Why is this stuff even stored on our side. Hacks/cheating I feel would be stupid easy.
