I suppose building small sheds [like those really poorly made plank ones with the holes in the back wall that always spawn shovels] to complement tents would also be ok, but the potentials there for people to build shed castles out of them. Little bush shelters like mentioned in a previous post here done Bear Grylls style would also be cool, but again theres the risk that people would just build a city of sheds, tents and bear grylls bush beds in the debug forests [or whats left of them...] -

I found about 4 MP5s in a shed, 2 FNX and an M67 grenade. Then got bored and decided to be the first person ever to die in dayz by an amphibia.

A high rate and model of damage for items hit by bullets and the possibility to ruin weapons by hitting them when firing at players would be nice, hopefully the new zombie AIs, numbers and the stealth system will encourage less KoS and more player-player as well as player-zombie stealth

Why not have multiple, the CZ452 is another great .22 bolt action and has the whole CZ/CR thing going for it. -
I havent played much as a team as most of my friends are waiting for beta/full release but last time we did was when loot spawning was still a pain in the arse so 4 of them starved while I ran off to save my M4. :D

Yeah no. I've not yet met a group larger than 2 that actually knew what they were doing, most of the big groups are bambi hunters anyway.

The repeater model and animations put me off what was at one point my most wanted addition, the magnum however is one of my favourite guns despite how much I want to hate it. -
I always find clans easier to wipe out than lone wolves or pairs. The latter are always on their toes, they make their own decisions, the clans though, they think the fact that theres 4-6 of them makes them invincible, shoot one and the rest scatter and panic every. single. time.

I'm gonna go ahead and say this is because DayZ isn't an FPS, it's a survival game, and I agree with your post, people say don't get attached to your gear, but that just makes it boring.

For me usually do a quick sweep of whatever city I spawn near then go inland and start looting the treasure trove villages, Tulga is a personal favourite as is Pusta.

Should scopes in dayz have the ability to zero?

Ballistics in DayZ in general should be modelled off ACE mods ballistics, more realistic damage, penetration and wounding/hitboxes are the only noticeable things up close, but for snipers wind and other factors now make shooting beyond 300-400 meters difficult, as it should be. Scopes also fully zeroable in ace, though not to distances, they use MOA. -
It's not waterproof but all you need is a waterproof jacket atm. The pants don't matter.

Interesting how UK assault vest spawn in militaries yet Smersh vests, the sort Chernarussian forces would use don't.

I get the feeling that there might be one running all the way from Pobeda dam west towards Tisy area, the landscape just looks perfect for one.

Regardless of the poor country posts, the houses are lacking in detail, especially buildings ported from Arma2.

I didn't read anything about the LRS and the Alaskan but I did see something related to scoped from Chris Torchia, it's highly likely that the LRS is placeholder, I wouldn't mind if when we get more scopes and hunting rifles the Mosin was relegated to only being able to take a PU scope.

There should be an ability to attach rope to it and wear it as a backpack in place of an actual carrier pack, also smaller containers for fuel would be nice.

Desync and lag definitely, Everyone I've shot in the last few days has gone down or died outright with chest shots.

Winchester model 70, oh yes... Also, the scope thing, why not just make it compatible with the LRS then make the LRS more realistic like the PU scope?
