This is a good idea, I do find it interesting that they've changed the weapon holding animations to replicate those of an untrained user, yet these untrained people can pull off ridiculously fast reloads even if the mag they're loading is buried under 600million kilograms of junk in a backpack

so, they added new weapon poses etc to show that the survivors aren't trained etc. Yet they know how to fly helicopters. Sure Helicopters have no place in DayZ other than as crashed wrecks which spawn loot -
huge interior hospitals with a few corridors and rooms etc, revamps of buildings ported from arma II such as the firestations and redone military buildings, that would be awesome

Remove or change NEAF and Balota. One military airfield is already enough. Too much military.

like, I don't see how an ammobox, that holds 2x5 slots of ammo, fits into 2x2 slots of backpack, remove ammoboxes as a whole and add in penalties for travelling with excess weight

I'm all for massive map expansion to cover most if not all of Chernarus from Guba to the island of moschnyi, a massive River cutting current chernarus in 2 is a nono, possibly a few small rivers yes, also id love arma3s swimming system

How about belt slots too, rifle slings, bandoliers etc, neck slots are a great idea. -
I agree with what you've said, but I'm saying that I want to see wide variety of both weapons and ammo, for now, early in the alpha build yes, 1 type of each weapon would suffice, but I wasn't talking about now, I was talking about future development

I had almost no faith coming into this that it would turn out as well as I hoped, I knew it would have the same 99% of encounters KoS problems as DayZ mod where [mostly] relatively new players would just be overcome with the enjoyment of killing people in DayZ as each kill means so much more than a kill in any other game, and shoot any and every other player they saw regardless of loot etc. My main hope rested on the loot damage system which just doesn't work at all as a deterrent to KoS and which still doesn't save the life of the victim [2 options, get shot and then robbed or get handcuffed, robbed then shot]. That said I'm still keenly watching the games development but suspect I'll end up favouring 2017 or somesuch

Sporter .22 when I'm in the survival mood but the SKS for bandit hunting, good for throwing 10 rounds at him/them, watching them panic while reloading then having them.

Most PvP I see is players coming face to face in a town or city, because players don't often branch out of the cities, that said I've had a few firefights at range out in the countryside, the most fun I've had in DayZ they were

well I feel we need a small pistol round to distinguish between Western types like the CR and russian pistols, 9x18 fits this gap fine. Same goes for 5.45 and 5.56 -

massive amounts of different calibers aren't required, however a decent amount is, that means, every caliber we have now + 5.45, 7.62x54R, 30-06, .338 9x18mm and possibly a 9.3mm for the CZ550 assuming they add it, is that too much to ask? -

Unacceptable attitude from the Dev team, attention to detail has always been one of the greatest features of DayZ both mod and standalone. Fair enough, not wanting to have micky mouse calibers from obscure weapons but this is the exact opposite end of the scale, and its being done as they no longer have to appease a fan base, they just have to keep content coming 'as long as it looks cool' to keep the casual majority entertained. -

There aren't even that many ammo types that need to be added, 7.62x54R, 5.45, 9x18 and a small number of hunting rifle cartridges such as 30-06 or .338. It's just a sign of laziness putting in so much attention to detail then dropping it as so many people now own the game and the majority of those don't really care, 'but I have a feeling the wider community doesn't give a crap as long as it looks cool' - Chris Torchia.... That there is the type of attitude to game development that you see in CoD or anything produced by EA, DayZ is a cash cow, they've barely raised it but now its time to milk it already. -
That would be ultra realistic, No, I just want regular old realism, and a little attention to detail, since that's what BI have always delivered on, It isn't hugely difficult to give weapons their RL ammo types.

It would kill you yes, in a post apocalyptic environment where the best medical care around is a man with bandages and saline bags, but possibly not instantly, see why the 45 ACP round was invented -
Or he's lazy, Different calibers and realistic ballistics make ArmA combat great, that's why I never played vanilla arma after ACE came out, arma, and even more so DayZ are the best games out there for emmersive combat.

People don't complain so much about PvP as Bandit v Freshspawn or even freshspawn who just found a shotgun vs freshspawn.

Most snipers I come across just plug people when they stop moving to loot the ATC towers. Moving targets or anything trying not to get sniped is beyond their capabilities even under 300 meters
