I agree whole heartedly, make the character something to get sentimental about and the game will just be 10x more enjoyable.

Gonna go ahead and call you out on that, you're entirely wrong, firstly, variety is the spice of life, there can always be more guns, just some belong lower on the priority scale, secondly, and most importantly, the AKS-74 is entirely different to a compact AKM/compact 7.62x39 weapon. I'm not really keen on the Groza but it would be nice to have as variety.

winter clothing = some snow areas in the future?

They've said the engine can't do like snow on the floor etc but a retex of current foliage and grass and buildings to show just a light dusting of snow on them would create a general green/white ambience that winter camo would work in -

Kind of stupid spawning there, they got rid of kamenka, balota etc spawns to move freshies away from the military areas.

I dunno, there's little wrong with a weapon like the SCAR H if it's implemented after the CLE is fully finished, and spawns as an extremly rare helicrash [west] item. -
To be honest as a 1st person only player, I have no problem with a 3rd person view that doesn't allow abuse like peaking over walls etc.

You've got a proper hard on for aircraft in DayZ, as far as aircraft go I'm in favour of light choppers and maybe light aircraft. I thought instead of having choppers that spawn with guns etc have a car upgrading/jury rigging system where you can bolt on extra bits, think low flying Cessna with a passenger leaning out the door firing a pintle mounted PKM xD. Also, as they've been maintained by people who don't know how to hold guns correctly yet can/maybe soon will be able to fly helicopters, they should have a serious chance of catastrophic failure if not very, very thoroughly maintained. -
Should be toned down when prone, there should also be a weapon resting mechanic

Well they're not quite in military use bar with Chinese reserve units and as ceremonial weapons but paramilitaries use them, notably in the Balkans, Ukraine and middle east

The SKS was the standard issue rifle in the red army for some years after the war, there'd be more than a few of them lying around in a former soviet state, as for the STG, the only example I can think of are the few that turned up in Syria, part of gifted kit giving to Syria by the USSR along with other former German kit. The rifles found in the Syrian civil war were of little use as they couldn't get much ammo for them.
