Double barrel is unbelievably bad, i mean i would rather use the crossbow. 1: Its as loud, if not louder, than the Lee enfield 2: only 2 shots allowed 3: Aiming down sight is unbelievingly hard, stupid and off putting. Its very bad, you dont know were the bullet is going, even if you aim straight. 4: Terrible for player and zombie killing Le Enfield all the way. -

New NVG Spawn location?

I wonder what it would be like if NVGs were included as a normal starter gear? Will make night servers more active that's for sure. -
Since the release of patch 1.7.1.5, i have only ever found 1 car and that was on a UK server, so going by your logic, UK servers have a better chance of spawning a car. Its all just luck.

Most people who shoot in game would not have the guts to pull the trigger, including me ( i dont kill in game unless defending my self), the emotional impact this has on you will be too much to handle, i mean even soldiers have effects such as not being able to go a sleep as they see themselves killing other people. Killing other humans is without a doubt the worst thing you can do, if your defending your own life or your friends, its probably easier to kill but still can be difficult for some. Life is not like the movies, and only those with serious mental problems can kill over 5 people and live on. This is why i believe that this game needs some kind of repercussion TO COMPENSATE KILLING OTHERS, when we had the bandit skin, i literally did not kil lat all, i would flee 9/10 so i don't get the bandit skin. Now, i will kill in game if i feel even slightly threatened. Even having things like having players who kill others have some kind effect like having a larger aggro range can be done well IMO ( TBH, most PKs are campers in the forest sniping into elektro or cherno so yea)

Even with all this being said, DayZ is still the best Zombie Apocalypse Gaming experience I have ever had AND it's still in Alpha? Most impressive. So I am excited to see where it goes. This testing is what this phase is about, so I am confident that the mod will be optimized for the engine and will be spectacular. Imagine ARMA3... Yep, i think arma 3 looks very optimised and improved from what i heard, could be very good. Just simple movements need to be more realistic, it needs to be less robotic in terms of movement.

[/quote'] Indeed. ARMA2 is about precision and planning over super-dynamic-seat-of-your-pants-CQB. That's why there's no standard melee. The controls and engine weren't designed for Zombies. It was designed for AI with guns and thought. You might be able to make Rage-Zeds realistic, but they player is so very limited in how they can deal with them up close. You can't rifle stroke/shove/throw/grapple etc, its shoot or hatchet, and if you have to switch to the hatchet it's a super convoluted method(not your fault Dev's). It should just switch positions with your primary on the tool belt. With that said, yes it is realistic. The rifle could have a sling which equates to "toolbelt" for the sake of the engine. Hell, theres even, I forget the name, hooks you can snap your rifle vertically to your belt in combo with a sling so its at your side rather than slung across your back. Also Tactical slings. Programming-wise to avoid walking armouries, easier said than done. Agree with this and the past you quoted. I do think the way the zombies are being made JUST DONT work with this engine as it should, the movement of your player is just too slow, clunky and unresponsive to be able to handle what is happening. Plus things like doors being super difficult to go through. For large scale slow paced gameplay this engine is perfect, for the way Dayz is being done, its quite bad. I bet if Dayz was made an any other engine it would be much better. That's what i think. The realistic gun mechanics, graphics and the map size is what this engine has that is very good, nothing else really. Im not mentioning bugs in the mod, i am mentioning bugs in the engine, same bugs present in the actual game.

Again, this all needs huge amounts of testing and I am reluctant to fuck up everything given the current build is pretty stable. 1.7.2 has some really fundamental changes in the way it is constructed, mainly geared towards performance and security. As such, this really needs to be tested very thoroughly even before it is released out to everyone here. I'm digesting as much as I can from the thread about what people want to see in it, but 1.7.2 will probably mainly focus on the rebuilding of the architecture of the "how" for infected. i actually found one parked very nicely in those houses that have like a garrage near it ( just the roof) Sadly it was is terrible shape, i think in those circumstances, vehicles should not be so badly broken, i know its more of challenge but i do think some vehicles should spawn with just fuel needed or only like 1 tyre, having everything broken is just annoying. Car in a big town, badly broken, in a house in the middle of nowhere and out of sight of any town( including the small ones) should be in good condition. -

I say, better to have more of something you might not need, than little of something you need, basically you might not need 8 when you get them, but if you go around the the NW airfield exclusively and don't plan on going to hospitals then that its understandable. A bullet does quite a lot of damage, if you do survive sure you can go cook meat but the amount of blood that is needed is gonna take quite a long time to fill up. -
You know what all these buffs and making the zombies like superman reminds me of? It reminds me of how developers that think having enemies re-spawn at locations makes the game harder. Its just stupid and frustrating. My opinion.

Putting over 10 bullets from my l85 into a person will result in that person having enough time to shoot back and have a death delay of like 5 second, while also killing me before they even shoot. I got jumped on by two bandits.

Better yet, will dead bodies actually stay were they are for more than 10 seconds? Sometimes its fine, other times it not.

In realise there are many ways to get pact the wire like how it is used. From using branches from a tree to pulling out the legs of it with your hand carefully.

Anyone know how to fixx this? got me killed and its annoying, i did not have anything on me, and i know its alpha, but just wondering if theres like a way to stop it? I keep on running backwards when i am not controlling my player.

I have had in total 5 playthroughs with the use of patch 1.5.4 and 1.5.5 and in total i have found 4 heli crashes ( 2 in one server and they were around 1 mile or a little more apart, so only 1 server were i did not find a chopper) I was just wondering if this is intentional or if i'm just emtremely lucky ( i prefer going around aimlessly, in stead of airfield/big towns and all the helis i found were in the open far away from any town, except 1) IMO i think it is kinda good as it rewards players like me who go around searching inland and travel alot but that's just me. I was wondering if anyone else, who has a similar play style, or not, has had such luck with crashed helis? Gear i found in total: m107, m14 AIM, l85 CWS( my baby), bizon SD (my baby also) and 2 normal FALs (both at the same heli crash) and normal items like medical stuff. Some awesome loot but kinda let down with the whole 1 mag only and not finding any NVGs was quite frustrating.
