I'm sure most of you have the same thing, your playing DayZ for a few hours and then something happens that just doesn't fit into a video... After a couple of weeks you probably have a fair few of these odd little snippets, so what do you do with them? chuck them all into a compilation video of course :) 98% of those clips (everything except the upside down UAZ) was filmed on my new private hive server (It's not open to the public yet... But it will be when it's set up :)) Mainly taken over the first few days, my group were setting up a few things (mainly walling off Pustoshka "The town that shall not be named" for a Survivor Gamez inspired event... And I was getting to grips with what TSW can do... - an older video of a similar flavour :) Mainly on the Doomsday/Epoch server

Recently quite a few of my friends, and friends of friends have got into DayZ, And as the ranking veteran of the game I always get asked how to install it... O yesterday I knocked a video together showing how I installed it and some of the settings I use... It's short, fast and has some "choice" language at times... The graphics settings came from another fella on the forums, but I can't seem to find the thread :( I'll link it when I do! If it's of any help to anyone then I'm happy, if not... I had a laugh making it so who cares eh? ;)

I agree, but most of the people I've said that too didn't have a clue where to start at all, so It always ended up with me reciting pretty much what was in the video :)

Not a bad set of settings, I've kept the shadow detail on low, (Can't stand the game with now shadows :)) And I'm getting 45 fps with drops to 25-35 in the cities... I've gained about 10 frames from these settings, but in dayz every frame counts :)

Another quick video from the Doomsday server. you may have seen in a previous video we'd been trying to get a little bird I damaged at the NEAF back in the air. After a day of raiding industrial spawns we had what we needed to sort the poor thing out... Unfortunately for us, so did another group... The player I kill at the beginning of the video had killed me about 15 minutes earlier. I spawned very close to where I was killed and he caught up with us as I was rejoining my group... So he deserved what he got lol :)

I've thrown together a few montages of the adventures we've been having on the DayZ Doomsday server... You can expect lots of NPC action :) "Death squads and voices from beyond the grave" "NPC's in Berezino" "Airfield Raids" Let me know what you think :) or if there's anything you guys think I should do differently!

it's been a long time since I've posted a video on these forums, but I had to share this video because it's so embarrasing on my part... You know when you get to the point where you've been playing DayZ for so long, you begin to get a little complacent? Well this particular server myself and a couple of friends play on allows base building, we've been building up our camp for a couple of weeks now, were pretty well stocked with 360 degree walls. Which, up until recently have been almost impenetrable. So, We were about to go out on a loot run, my buddy Daves decided he'd go for a smoke before we set off and I went AFK for 30 seconds to run to the bathroom... When I returned this is what I found... You all know the moral of the story by now... :)

never give up lol fight until the last round is spent... Then the hatchet comes out!

My second life on the new Oring map. I spawned in an obnoxiously orange t shirt, unarmed and with nothing to lose I have a go at calling a players bluff...

Definitely wasn't set up... I've been meaning to try it for ages, I'm gonna keep trying it and make a montage video :)

I was trying this a few nights ago, albeit on the editor, I can make it about halfway before ending up upside down or clipping something. I also spawned about a hundred zeds in the middle and tried the "28 days later" thing :) Well done for making it across man!

and to fully answer the OP's question, it's German Tropentarn a "desert" variation of their Flecktarn pattern. I agree with the hero skin needing a rethink... Something with less "HEY I'M OVER HERE!" I reckon... I think it'd be good to see several variations of the hero/bandit skin with them being random too...

I can't believe how much this thread has exploded lol... So much love and hate for this guy... I quite enjoyed the video, it was entertaining and made me laugh. So you've done your job! I'm not saying I condone your play style, but to be honest I don't care if you use the combine mags exploit, or any other for that matter. It's a game, people are going to find ways to exploit it in new ways everyday. For those people who are saying "you shouldn't use the DMR like that, it's a sniper rifle" It isn't. It's a Designated Marksman Rifle. It's used to put harassing fire down at longer ranges. If the shit hits the fan, and your close enough there's nothing wrong with putting an entire mag down range... I do the same thing :)

by the term "Standalone" it means it's going to be a game in it's own right that "stands on it's own two feet" rather than just modifying the way an already existing game works. for more info on it, search the forum or check out http://dayzdev.tumblr.com/

Myself and Standin met up in Tavi for a bit of banditry, we happened upon a small town which was being circled by a helicopter... We made it ours...

Taviana is definitely worth it! Especially if you play with a group... It's absolutely massive!

So has this been dropped? Just installed it and had a look around in the editor... Looks like it would be loads of fun... Can't find any servers though :(

As usual I've been playing plenty of Utes PVP, this time on a server where you start completely kitted out. If your not into this kind of gameplay, that's understandable... It's basically DayZ deathmatch... It's a good laugh for a wind down after a few hours of cooking meat and making camps in Chernarus :) This is the first of about 5 installments from a few nights on the same server...

They are! They take a fair beating before they drop (unless you have a 50 cal or the rail gun etc) It's the "DayZ Dallas madness 1400+ vehicle server"
