I ran into about 4 other people. So maybe lol.

I logged off last night around the NW airfield and when I logged on today, I was on the outsides of the map and all my stuff was gone. How do I get my character back?

I guess. Well off to running another 15-20 minutes back to the airfield. lol

I just did, and now it spawned me in cherno and I have all my stuff back. WTF I just want to spawn back where I logged off.

So I have been to 5 different servers where I was ported in a random forest and fell to my death along with a dozen other people on the server.

So I just updated DayZ and it's telling me I have an old version of DayZ and won't allow me to play on any server.

I updated to the DayZ 1.7.5 the version Six Launcher had me download.

Thought the same thing until I started to look at the server names that told you which version it was running. I made sure to try and connect to a server with the latest version. Nothing.

Server: US 138 Reason: I decided to make a new character on this server mainly because it was the server I randomly picked after my last character died. So I made my new character and spent about 3 hours gathering items. I have some pretty good items and was happy with my progress. However, I did notice something was odd with the server. I noticed that every time I went near a building you can enter, you could hear those stupid flies when a player dies. I looked around the buildings and found no bodies. This happened in every town that I visited. I also noticed some extreme lag when I was walking around those buildings. I also noticed that in supermarkets, nothing but bags were in them. I visted 3 different stores and they all just had bags. Now here comes the real problem. I attempted to go on a server where I know friends play. Loaded into the server and it asked me to create a new character. I was like WTF? So I logged out and tried again and same thing happened. I then went back to the server I started on and my character loaded up perfectly fine. Video: Here is a 6 minute video (Sorry for long video) showing exactly what is happening.

Who wouldn't want to play as the zombie in this game? In before "Go to L4D if you want to play a zombie"

This. Would. Be. Awesome. It also makes sense. What happens in the movies? When you get bitten by a zombie, you get infected and turn into one. Why not have this in DayZ?

Bad Bandit - Someone who kills anyone they see on sight for their loot then moves on and repeats this process everytime they run into someone. In my opinion, this isn't fun at all. Good Bandit - Someone who actually wants to play the bandit role correctly. When they see someone, they will run over to them and attempt to take said person hostage, demand supplies, ect ect. I think this is much more fun then the normal kill on sight bandit. It's a shame maybe 2% of DayZ bandit players actually do this.

I could care less if I am killed. There is a thing called respawn. I'm just tired of the same old kill on sight bandits. It's more fun when they make it interesting.

Do you agree that is more fun then then the kill on sight crap? that is what I am talking about. We need more people like them in this game.

Yes, that would be fun as hell to run into rather then your normal kill on sight bandits.

I could care less if I am killed. I'll just respawn a new character. I just want people to make it more interesting then the same old kill on sight garbage. It gets old after awhile. As to your get away from the coast.. I do, once I gather a hunting knife, matches, and a hatchet I head towards the NW Airfield.

I'm just tired of this "Kill anyone on sight" bullshit. There is 0 player to player interaction other then killing them on sight or unless you have real life friends that you know won't kill you to play with. I help a guy from getting killed by hordes of zombies and then he shoots me in the back. Someone comes up to me and asks for a blood transfusion, I help him out and then get shot in the back. Maybe I'm too nice of a guy to be playing this game. It's just a shame this game has turned into nothing but a Call of Duty deathmatch game with some zombies thrown in.

And this is why it's better to have a group of friends rather then trying to play the good bandit on your own. Even if you die, you will have your friends to back you up and kill the survivor who decided to fight. Then your friends can grab your stuff and give it back to you.

Not when they're in groups. You'd be pretty stupid bandit to run up to a guy by yourself when that guy is carrying a AK.

I started a new character on a veteran server and gathered about two hours worth of items, logged off and decided to go to my main server which is a regular server and it's asking me to make a new character? Does this mean those two hours went to waste?

Indeed good times. So how do I tell which is a private server and which isn't? Just don't want to waste my time on a private server and not being able to play on other servers.
