I don't think you should release a dev blog this week Rocket... (reverse psychology FTW!) :P -

Surely all they would need to do is to have an always on function on the mic so that any voice coms are detected by DayZ, whether they are intended for DayZ or not. -
Even though I almost always use iron sights, sometimes (quite a lot of times really) when tackling groups of infected, it's handy to be able to have the option of firing from the hip. Removing it might make some encounters unnecessarily difficult. In my experience, most murders happen when you are looking at your map, fiddling with inventory, gutting an animal...basically any time you are completely vulnerable and the cowardly fucks can kill you without fear of retaliation.

Cheers! I take it I have to sign up there then and submit the music somewhere? I guess I'll figure it out haha
-
Cheers! Does anyone know what 'github' is or how I would go about submitting the music to it? R4Z0R49 said I was welcome to submit the ideas there, but I have no idea what that is...A quick search of google left me even more confused.

It's a cert really...The amount of people that are going to bum-rush this game when it is released will be like a virtual tsunami composed entirely of nerds with murderous intentions... How does anyone prepare for such a thing? haha -

Man...I hope there are tuxedos in the SA...And tweed jackets with leather patches on the elbows...and monocles...and bowler hats... It's going to be ridiculous trying to get a copy of the game at launch, is what you are saying... We few, we happy few, we band of brothers... -
Ok, cool. Message sent. Cheers for the heads up, and thanks for the complement. :)

Are they a user here? Maybe if you know them you could direct them here and they can get in touch if they are interested. I wouldn't know what to say as I don't know who they are or what they do.

Please, please, please, please, (if possible) try to learn from the mistakes made by the devs of Diablo 3 and SimCity for when you launch DayZ SA. That is all. :) -

Has it been confirmed that sick players will cough, vomit etc. at inopportune, times meaning that their position could be compromised by their state of health? -

I want there to be so many zombies that people have to think very carefully before shooting any kind of weapon (that isn't the crossbow, or silenced). The dinner bell effect should be huge in the stand alone, so that if you shoot someone (or something) in a city or whatever, you end up surrounded by every zombie within realistic ear-shot. The ones furthest away shambling in towards the sound, and the ones closest running towards it, from all directions. Make it so that if you are lone wolfing it and a murderous bastard, or just careless, you basically have zero chance of survival because you don't have anyone covering your back. At the very least, you should only survive by the skin of your teeth. Of course, I am only saying all of this because the gameplay I enjoy the most is being a sneaky, pacifist (yet heavily armed) bastard that voyeuristically stalks potential threats to my survival from afar... Either that or staging ridiculous zombie stand offs with a group of friends, mostly just for the hell of it...Sometimes for beans or a tin of coke...lol -

I think that the golf club from Dead Rising 2 should be in DayZ standalone...for no other reason than it is really funny... And I should be able to dress as an old granny too... -

It's a bad idea, and you should feel bad for ever coming up with it. -

I used Banidcam to capture footage of DayZ and it worked great with the VBR MPEG-2 codec. Very little performance hit. -
Does anyone know if there is any work being done to try and solve the pop-in issues with the Arma 2 engine folliage? It's not a huge thing, but it can be kind of immersion breaking. Also, will infected stumble, trip and fall over objects like chairs, tables, fences and player bodies? And on that note, will collision detection be improved for both players and infected? I mean, I'm gonna assume that infected won't be able to walk/attack through walls and other solid objects in the SA, so I guess collision detection will be improved, right?

Sounds like a DayZ origin story right there...lol

Reminds me of a girl I just dated for a bit...Such a shame too, as she was kinda hot... :P But...
-
Here's a thought...Maybe they are too busy making the game to painstakingly edit a video for supposed video editing aficionados like yourself...At the end of the day, they don't have any obligation to release these videos at all. Wind your neck in.

Awesome video...but DayZ SA is seeming more and more like a hazy vision off in the distance...I get that it will be worth the wait, but I have never been a very patient person... :P
