A 'karma' system is the best idea. If you keep killing people, you your appearance changes and you are more easily identifiable as a murderer. The game could offer you the chance to reverse your bad karma by giving pain killers, morphine, blood bags...or even giving ammo, weapons, meat and other items to other survivors...

We all payed to be able to play...We just happened to pay for a computer and install an operating system that supports gaming...Unless Arma2 is OpenGL, you are sh*t out of luck.

Well, in that case...Buy Win7, install it on bootcamp, install Steam, buy Arma2 Combined operations and play DayZ...Simples.

Dying to a possible hacker... http://youtu.be/X6Wwx4G6loo Why I think it was a hacker...This happened on the same server after I respawned... http://youtu.be/Ch4_lFV3owA My team mate was on the same server and got killed a minute or two later by what was more than likely the same silenced weapon... 20 days without dying and without killing a single person...Then I die 5 times within an hour, from being murdered in cold blood, for no reason...Ironically, it turns out it is the hackers who are the friendliest people I encounter...ha...ha

You could add to that list... The hackers. It's getting ridiculous. No consequences for being a murderer, so one person can have a massive negative influence on a server, and the community at large. Most people seem to become a murderer because it is 'kill or be killed'. Hardly anyone even tries to communicate with you. They just shoot you in the back, or on sight. For survivors, there is less and less incentive to play the game as time goes on. In it's current state, literally everything is balanced in favour of the people choosing to be murderers. When you have invested quite a bit of time into a survivor and then some some 11 year old, or some adult with the mental/emotional capacity of an 11 year old murders you...Your will to support this mod starts to wane greatly.

I've stopped playing until the next patch comes out...I can't play because on nearly every server it is literally unplayable due to the graphical glitches at pretty much every location that has decent loot. Besides that, dying because zombies swarm you for no apparent reason and then warp/walk through solid objects and kill you...Well...That was never, and never will be fun...Every time it happens I feel like backing away from the mod. Once the graphical glitches are fixed (at least) I will be back playing. At the moment, it's very hard to have fun...when all you can see is a white screen with black triangles flashing all over it...and you can only see if you look east... -

Before adding anything like that, they need to fix all the broken stuff...You can't balance a game that is currently broken in so many ways, because any balance change you make to a broken game will become unbalanced once major issues are fixed. Fix major issues first, then tweak the balance and add more features. In order for features like this to be added, Zombie AI would have to be GREATLY improved. Zombie animations would need to be either slowed down again, or completely replaced with non-spasmo ones. They would need to fix zombies walking through walls and other solid objects... It's been three patches since I started playing and none of these things have been fixed, some have arguably been made worse. Most of the survival so far has been in knowing how to avoid being killed by ridiculous bugs/glitches...

I'd like to add that being completely vulnerable while gutting an animal is ridiculous...There is no way to cancel out of it once it has started. You are basically at anyone's mercy while the sound and animation plays...which I found out earlier as I tried to prone while some prick shot at me repeatedly with a silenced weapon and I couldn't prone, or move...Then I was dead. When you are bandaging and move, it cancels, or giving morphine, or taking it, or giving a blood transfusion...so why not gutting an animal? Makes no sense.

Sounds to me like you are full of crap... and you brag about your custom PC to compensate for a lack of something else...manhood probably...Grow up and stop being a wannabe elitist prick. A core i5 2500K, 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM and a HD5850 1GB in a machine (that I built myself) plays every recent game out there at 1080p and generally on the highest settings. These issues only happen in Arma2 engine. It is incredibly poorly optimized. The graphical glitches have been acknowledged by Rocket and are addressed (hopefully) in the next patch. They are caused by dead player bodies, military areas, and barbed wire fences. Every single person I know that is playing is getting them in various places. Shooting with iron sights at a player prone under a fern tree...3 shots from an enfield and none hit him because the leaves were bullet proof...Then the guy ALT F4s...That's broken. Shooting at crawlers and hoppers (with iron sights) when they are in long grass, you basically have to lure them away into a clearing before your bullets damage them because they grass is bullet proof. Again, the low fps issues have been acknowledged by Rocket and are to do with item clean up on servers. It was supposedly fixed with the last patch, but obviously not. I find it hard to believe that someone is as dumb as you appear to be, so I am gonna assume you are either really young, or just a troll.

The inventory works, it is just clunky as f**k. Most murders happen when some cowardly f**k comes along and shoots you while you are laboriously moving things from your backpack to your inventory or vice versa... It works, it is just shit.

It's happened to me anywhere that there are military loot spawns. Cherno, Balota airstrip, NW Airfield are the worst offenders for me...I haven't been to Stary because my friends all had crazy artifacts, but Stary has military loot spawns too...

I haven't bothered with tents (because of the reported bugs), and have had very little luck with finding vehicles, which is why I didn't comment on them, but yeah...You can't balance the game properly until the really big, glaring issues are fixed. Instantly springing to mind: Zombies walking through things (biggest issue in entire mod). Slow the zombies down until you get better, faster animations to replace them (second biggest issue). Grass/leaves being bulletproof. Inventory management f**king sucks balls. Otherwise...I love this game like no other! ;)

Agreed Riordin. At the end of the day, if they can't fix things in ArmA 2 like bullet proof grass/leaves and AI walking through solid objects, it doesn't really fill me with confidence about them being fixed in Arma 3, especially since it seems to be just the same engine with graphical improvements. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me...but if these issues are still present in Arma3, that's ridiculous. If they are not, why don't they apply the fixes to Arma 2, seeing as Rocket has generated about 1 million units of sales and all...That's a lot of money...
