Delete your beta folder, reinstall ARMA2_OA_Build_94876 The newest beta seems to cause problems. I did this and it works perfectly fine. It might not be instant but it WILL load you in. Takes no more than 4-5 min -

Your best option is to open up your rig and check out your slot options, more often than not you'll see labels for each one. just look for PCI-E

Grab arma 2 free, install it, and load up the game into boot camp. If you can run around and have no fps lag then you will be fine. You'll most likely have to play with the video settings it looks like though -

An implementation of a new player animation/pose to play dead. So basically your player will lie down, and be in a "dead position" maybe even trigger a ragdoll mode and collapse. Flies sound should be delayed until about 10 minutes or so after player death, to prevent from just being able to hear if someone is playing dead or not. This would add a whole 'nother realm of play. See a bandit? play dead. Hearing gunshots from a horrible sniper? play dead. It would also add a lot more cautious playing as someone could be playing dead and get up when you're attempting to loot them, or walk past them.

They should remove that as well, since if you're in Cherno, and PLAYER is in Berezino, you see on the bottom left PLAYER was killed. How would you know? You wouldnt. ha. So that should be removed entirely, but keep the player disconnect/connect messages. -

Just loot military buildings. (Fire stations. deer stands. military tents) as for the ghillie suits, loot residential (houses, apartment buildings etc) Everyone else, Im loving the feedback and additional ideas. a shambling walk animation would be a GREAT implementation as well! -

Never trust anyone you're not on VOIP with. (Vent, TS etc.) 8/10 they're going to shoot on sight. Why? Not cause theyre a bandit but because either a. bandit or b. they're paranoid of bandits. Most of the time I avoid interaction and use the treeline to my advantage. Avoid hostile areas (Berezino, Cherno, Elektro, Balota, NW airfield) This is where bandits like to hangout due to the high player count and loot value. Also avoid where vehicles spawn, like black lake and other places. Grocery stores? Get in, get out. High output areas are going to have a higher chance of player interaction, be it friendly or hostile. Grab what you need and go, don't linger. Never run through open fields, take the treeline around...sure it takes longer. But itll take even longer to re-scavenge that supplies you're lugging around. Sniper? Run in zig zags. But keep the left/right pressing random so they cant time your movements. Use cover but dont stop...dont ever stop until youve either killed them or KNOW you're out of their LOS. Use buildings and vegetation to your advantage Dont trust people who ask you for painkillers or anything, as soon as you go to place it in their bag, expect a shot to the face. Instead drop it on the floor away from them so they cont shoot you PB in the face. Walk around behind them and drop them or around a building. If they turn towards you or follow you around the building...they're most likely out to kill you.

I'm actually glad there hasn't been a patch in a long time. Everything has been pretty stable since 1.7.1.5 If zombies running/attacking through walls, mags dissapearing, and a blackhole backpack is your idea of stable....

Did a great job in assisting me, brought me morphine and even gave me a blood transfusion. To top it all off, they brought me to a location so I could pick up a Bizon! Thanks RMG (Specifics: Austin and Colton) for the great service! -

If I remember correctly, if the vehicle has been inactive for 7 days, it will reset. If not, then well...it stays off bounds. 7 Days is more than enough time for people hoarding vehicles off map to save location, even IF they die.

Asking if someone is friendly will never work. If they're friendly they say yes, if they're hostile they say yes. It's best to avoid people or join a vent/TS server and meet up with people from there. Or ask from a distance for them to lower their weapon, if they dont comply avoid them. If they do, proceed with caution.

Items needed: Ghillie Suit Rifle of your choice (BAF AS50, CZ550, DMR, M14 EP1, M24, M107, SVD CAMO) Some stones Camp the treeline, moving your position back walking the inner treeline every now and then (don't walk the outer edge for obvious reasons). and just watch the city for movement assuming your target is in a building watch all windows doors, building sides. If your target is a good sniper, he'll be doing exactly what you're doing so watch your back (or the next thing minus the barrel sticking out as hell be a few steps back), if he's bad he'll be holed up in some tall building so watch rooftops/towers for a barrel sticking out. If you can't find a sniper rifle and want to run up on him, try to find his location and sneak up behind him, taking the long way around but keeping an eye on his location and taking note of movement patterns and direction; or just run at him doing zigzags (I find strafing and aiming the same direction makes a quick sharp turn, so I'll usually do this strafing left and right) Or get a smoke grenade/flare/glass bottle and toss it to his location and let the zombies eat him.

Adding to vehicle discussion, there should be a coordinates limit where if the owner of the vehicle logs off and the vehicle is out of bounds of the coordinates surrounding chernaurus, the vehicle will reset. else save vehicle location.
