Is it not allowed to keep the answer short and clean? Seriously, i think you are exaggerating just a tiny winy bit. He asked a yes/no question so why should he not be allowed to answer yes/no. There are 20 other posts "ellaborating" anyways. -

Personally i find the Standalone very booring. There is very little to do, even for a bandit. You wont meet people very often, there can be very little loot, and not alot of variation when it comes to weapons and such, and when you got yourself a M16 or the sniper rifle there is absolutely nothing to do. I have had my character for almost a month now, playing a bit now and then. Even though i constantly run around the airfield i have only seen a few persons even on a full server. Im thinking of just killing myself as i have pretty much everything, and got it in maybe 30 minutes :/. -
Being killed by server hoppers ruining game

Add respawning loot and more different loot. Im 100% sure that this will get rid of 50-70% of the current server hoppers, if not even more. It's not fun joining a server with basicly no loot, right? Loot is a motivation to keep playing this game, to push yourself to run up to the north-west and try to find better and better gear. Right now, there is such a small variation it quickly get's booring. -

You will have a different character. Every character is bound to your steam key/account, so buying it on another account will get you a new one. But if it is stuck in the middle of the ocean, can't you talk to a server admin and make him kill you? or is that only possible in the mod?

Wow, i aint reading that. But to answer your question, it's coming, as is respawning loot. Just wait a few weeks/months and it might be here!

Let people play the way they want. The fact that loot gets damaged or destroyed when hitt is honestly the best idea, then you will have to "think twice" before you shoot someone in the balls. People who kills unarmed people are just dicks though, and should be punished by getting gang raped by a zombies

The timer for changing servers is idiotic, 1 day?? never going to happen, 3 hours i doubt it, 1 hour maybe. Lets look at the roots of the server hopping problems, not enough loot, and more importantly it does not respawn at any point unless server restarts. So instead of sitting here complaining and coming up with all sorts of redicilous ideas, repsawning loot is the answer your all are looking for. -

Server hoppers: A renewable resource.

As there is barely any loot on servers that has been up for 1+ hours, no wonder people are server hopping. Only way to get a gun is on a freshly restarted server and to find that hopping is the best alternative. Can't wait until they add respawning loot and zombies. -

We cannot really critique the game it self as it is an early alpha, but i think we can critique the lack of updates, which in my opinion is something the game needs badly. -

Hi As im not home and on my old computer with a AMD 1055t 2.8 ghz with 6 cores im wondering how it will run. I cannot OC it because of the terrible cooler i have. Anyone else tried it out with a similar CPU. I have a AMD 6950 graphics card, which i know is not going to be a big problem.

Well i just tried, and i get around 30-40 FPS average on lowest possible. Definitly playable, but it feels choppy and i don't like it. I am running Windows on an SSD, a kingston 64GB one, which honestly sucks ass because it really, really does not make ANY difference in loading times, windows startup or such things. -
Who would not expect hackers in the standalone? It's DayZ, and it probably does not even have any anti-hacking security yet. Just wait, it will get fixed, and then it will get hacked again. Welcome to DayZ Alpha.

As there is almost no loot, there are rarely any bandages. After 5 hours of play i have only found one. Should i just kill myself and start over again? Btw, thanks Rocket for the fact that it actually takes a while to bleed out.

Yes it would. Its all about LOD and how many polygons each individual tree has. And look at all the other details you see in BF4 that are not trees, cars, buildings, players, explosions and other effects which would easily match up to DayZ, except it looks ALOT better. That said, there is alot of other things such as generating stuff in DayZ, and lets not forget that the server has alot to say. -

It really does not run better than the mod. I have GTX 670 and i7 3770k and on lowest il get around 80 in the woods, in the city around 25-30. -
But on topic. My mouse is all wierd ingame. It works, but when i look around there is something stopping it from going as it should, almost like it lags a bit. I think its a mouse acceleration problem, as there is no way to turn it off ingame.
