It could be interesting to have a leaderboard of the top 10 survivalists, those who remained alive for the longest time (and i do not mean RL time but ingame time) That's the only thing you could aknowledge of being a feat really. -
Most consumer grade displays are pieces of shit when it comes to offering true color accuracy (pretty contrast and nuclear blast whites are not enough) so it only makes sense to offer some adjustments so those with displays that eat away half of the dark grey tones can see something. So, sure we could do away with any color adjustment settings, but then i assume you're also ready to buy me a top of the line graphic art display :)

The bandit skin is a real mess, i've seen a friend "shed" his bandit skin, and for what i understood the server spawn a new body, copy the inventory, set the player to it and delete the old body, excepted in our case the old body didn't go. -

I'm not a fan of meta gaming but i think this would actually be nice, realtime day night is cool, but some players come back from work and it's ALWAYS the night for them. If anything it would at least tell you which server set time to what. -

I agree that exploiting the limitations of the game world should be discouraged (loot camp, server hopping, lag, force disconnect, etc) but i also believe that we are not children anymore and don't need a sandbox game to reward us when we do a good deed. Good and bad are concepts that only apply in structured societies, i would even say that i believe human rights don't apply in dayz. -
Why are the map name in english if the sign names are in cyrilic?

The game was localised in english but the arma dev team are from czetch republic. -

More accurate chopperflight model, more gratifying flight experience for the pilot, more skill needed. I mean it's wishful thinking because that would mean 3 games needed to play 1 mod. -

Griefing imho is an integral part of this game, and play a big role in the adventure and danger sense of it. Actually ... i don't even think this word has a meaning in this context, there are plenty of zombie related games that do not involve players killing players to satisfy this kind of gameplay, the reason everyone is flocking toward this mod is because it's basically NOT like your average zombie MP game. -
Food and water being used offline

Personally i think the food/drink gauges should go down during offline time, but never beyond blinking red, so at worst, next time you log on you have to have a meal/drink. -
Yeah more russian gear and less american stuff. No hate for americans but a shiny M16 doesn't feel rag tag enough for me :D

Some peoples have those grand visions of presence of powerful factions, but do not realise what kind of logistic you need behind this kind of organisation. My question is, why would we need large factions, or even "official" factions. There is only 50 peoples per server, the current group format which is 2 to 5 players seems to make enough sense for a 50 peoples cap (with the rare exceptions of huge friend groups)

Where does it say PVP is fair? Random killing does achieve some form of domination on the playing field as it keeps the other players on lower equipment tiers while enriching you. This isn't e-sport it's a simulation, fairness has nothing to do with it, neither you or i actually deserve to enjoy the game. You don't get to have any cake unless you get up and take it yourself.

That's the point, that the percentage would be minuscule but that now and then, it would happen, instead of now, where everyone is certain it won't.

I actually like the current system where the dayz team impose server settings to server admins if they don't want to lose the right to host dayZ servers. I think it should remain up to the dayz team to decide what is acceptable and what is not. I Think it's a nice change from the "durr my server, my rules" mentality that you find on nearly every "host your own" games out there.

Regular and veteran are presets, but a server can basically change any of the settings those two presets govern. What regular or veteran means is whatever the server operator decided. It's just so when hosting a mission they can have two configuration that players can vote for in vote enabled servers. -
There is a ton of places perfect to hide a tent, they are obvious ebcause if you're in the general viscinity of one , you shouldn't have to go pixel hunting. 200square kilometers and you can't hide a 1 meter tall camo tent?
